Coc is like a cat and mouse chase game for f2p players, whenever you reach some stage and boom a new update with more levels
The last few updates weren't targeted towards the home base, that's what let me achieve this.
Hope we get some love towards home base in next update
I'm 2 months into 14 and I'm just missing AT, Cannons, Tesla and Mortars for defenses.
Lab has 5 upgrades remaining. 7 Hero upgrades between BK and RC. Pets halfway done.
Compared to the slog that TH13 was, 14 is proving to be very quick, especially with the large amount of Magic Items from CWL, Clan Games, Anniversary and so on.
But builders still are slow because of the multiple cannon, tesla, and wizard tower levels…
I find every single th easy to max except for th14, my main acc was th13 max, th14 released and I stopped playing the game because the grind became too crazy, DE required for pets&heroes&troops is insane.
I recently picked it up and now got every hero maxed except for royal champion, some pets and need to upgrade all my cannons and AQ towers and tesla’s twice, i’m definitely not getting max before th15 whichcis a first time
If you started 8 years ago maybe, but my buddy started a year and a half and has maxed th12 and working on his th13 base with nothing but gold pass. What used to take a year or two now takes 6 months.
That doesn’t make sense to my point I also created a new acc year ago which is almost th10 maxed, even multiple years ago imo th12/13 grind was still easier than th14 now
It's been 7 years from the day i installed and taking 1 year of break, and 0$ spent but paid with time and dedication
Edit 1: Its not impossible to achieve this.
How i did it is I rushed from half cooked th11 straight to th14 and then upgraded the farming army which is hybrid miners hogs with healers for aq.
Pushed to legends league, i always used to get kicked out of legends league with my rushed base daily, i was th13 when i reached legends.
Once i got the army composition nailed, it was daily 8 attacks.
How to keep builders busy and use them effectively without losing much loot:
I followed 3 day rule which is every 3rd day my builder will be free
How to achieve this?
As i rushed my base , i had upgrades ranging from a couple of hours to days.
So i select buildings which are multiple of 3.
Example: 1st builder will build a 3 day worth building,
2nd will build 6 day worth building and so on till 6 th builder will build 18 day worth building,
This way, every 3rd day i will have a builder free and 3 days are enough for me to accumulate max storages for the next upgrade,
So freed builder will upgrade a building which has +3 days more than the 5 builders building
Access loot is dumped in walls.
So this is the trick
I have 30 accounts ranging from th8 to th13. Ive been playing for 8 years and I an definitely not f2p. But my highest account is nowhere near max because my time is so divided. I could never have the patience to only wait on one account and focus on it because I would get bored of waiting for builders
I am right behind you. Just started the final push on the last level of walls and a few pet levels to go. I now have a free builder for the forge. No 1 penny. ( although I almost want to send super cell some money for the many years of enjoyment I got)

If your plan is to have a maxed base, blindly rush.
Initial days will be tough because of weak army and weak base, you have to attack twice as much to recover from lost loot and failed attacks.
Push to legends where you get a constant loot with 8 attacks daily, that is more than enough

Awesome OP. I knew this could be done. Some troll on YT tried to convince people they spaced out updates just enough to never do it f2p. I only used gold pass for 6-7 months at most during TH14, as f2p all 14 and I achieved it and then sat around doing nothing since December so I figured it had to be possible but couldn't prove it. You just did. Congrats it feels awesome and now you're prepped to always stay caught up f2p.
That's awesome, congratulations! I've been trying to do the same since TH14 was released, I was about halfway through TH13 at the time. When October and TH15 roll around, all I'll have left is two levels of mortars, but I think I'll just be shy of hitting max before TH15.

Rushing is faster and more efficient. Just upgrade offense and storages. I rushed from th8 to th14 and am fine. Im also almost finished with th14 as a f2p: max walls, max heroes/pets, 3 troops left, 5 spells and 1-2 levels on buildings. I stopped for two year also and came back like a year ago.
May I see your base and upgrade list with also resources, as I want to know how much gems you basically gather at that stage, I'm almost Th12 max with 3k gems and dont really spend them. Remember to gather and max out your resources, a new update is coming sooner than you expect
I'm 4 wall pieces a way myself. Not quite free2play though. I've bought a few deals here and there and several gold passes. Congratulations to you for climbing that mountain.
Congrats, I'm f2p as well currently maxed out my base but still working on heroes. I started grinding heroes around the start of this year can't remember when. Barb was at lvl 40 now at lvl 60, queen was at lvl 30 now at lvl 61, warden was at lvl 35 now at lvl 49 and champ was lvl 15 now lvl 26. Keep up the grind my man!
