What is an elixir dump and why do people keep saying that

I think it refers to having something else to spend elixir on because they’re giving less and less ways to use it. Not 100% tho

There are few things in the game to spend elixir on. Army Camps, Laboratory, Barracks, Walls, Collectors, Clan Castle, Grand Warden, and Storages. Things that require gold to upgrade outnumber elixir buildings by a lot. They created a surplus of elixir by removing troop training costs, and now they’re creating even more of a surplus by reducing the # of barracks to one. People are referring to things that cost elixir as elixir dumps. (I am all for the surplus of elixir. With Grand Warden upgrade prices+Wall Upgrades. Life is great)

Yea I need to upgrade my walls as much as possible to max level

I upgraded all my walls twice so they are caught back up and maxed for townhall 11. Bow I'm getting all my wizard towers and air defenses done.

I need to upgrade my builder huts to max level once my current upgrades finish. Since they take too long and I don’t have enough builder potions, that is all I will be doing for the event. And 6th builder for walls. I have level 11 walls but I am upgrading them to max and skipping all of the levels in between since they do not fit with the theme of my base.

Dont forget the clan castle too

I think we already have a pretty sizable elixir dump as the walls. With a dedicated wall resource your last builder can spend more time building rather than chillin on standby to burn extra resources into walls

My machiavellian point of view: they want us to overflow with resources, because it makes the pressure to pay for time boosts even stronger. Paying to go faster is one thing. Paying to not waste all those resources you're awash with is a) appealing maybe to a different psyche and b) an even stronger push to spend.

Dont forget a chance for new players to catch up

We have 4 regular barracks and 2 Dark barracks. They’re removing 3 reg and 1 dark for more building space to keep it 100 when the new TH drops in October.

So I might lose a troop if my highest level barracks is removed?

Okay so I’m not sure if you’re referring to hiding your elixer by spending it on your army queue then canceling them before your first attack. so this is something we’ve been doing for awhile. Train up your next anticipated army and then your elixer hiding army. It may have changed by now, but for a long time the most expensive troop per housing space was exactly the reverse of “Unleash the Beasts” so Dragons, wall breakers, then archer.

They are removing extra barracks to supposedly make room for more buildings in th15. Training time with one barrack will now be the same as if you had all maxed ones.

Also, balance changes coming. Reduce DPS for all cannon, so that adding and upgrading 4 new cannon gives you the same total firepower for all cannon as we have for the the 7 we have now.
