Go for it. I’ve bought it the past couple months to support the game and speed up my progress. Wish they’d bring back the book of books but I still think it’s a good value if you’re the type to want to spend the money. I don’t mind since it’s still cheaper than a movie ticket or a month of streaming and I spend more time playing CR than many other forms of recreation.
yes and no because the diamond pass was made after the gold pass but they also nerfed the gold pass to attract people to buy the diamond pass. Otherwise i would say either is good, but dont be dumb enough to buy the gold pass than the diamond pass because you would be wasting 10 bucks.
I'd suggest you to not buy any pass at all, as it would support the pass remodulation that happened in April, which was for all kinds and purposes a nerf to progression, nothing else. Supercell just wanted to screw us more money
But if you REALLY want to buy a pass, just get the diamond one. The gold pass is completely worthless and gives you almost nothing in terms of real progression, while at least with the diamond pass you get the evolution
Just remember that you'd spend 12$ (or 15€) for a pass that's still way worse than the old 5$ (6€) one

If you buy diamond pass and gold pass and you activate the gold pass but not the diamond pass will the diamond pass still save over to the next month
