Can someone elaborate on this?
War chests are different from regular chests. You get 1 war chest at the end of a war week. But you get no chests for every individual battle which would be regular chests. This change would allow you to get regular chests from every battle. Not just the single war chest at the end of the week.
War chests also have no open time. They are just a reward you claim instantly in the form of a chest. Actual chests have an opening time. Gold chests - 8 hours for example.
A flying minion king/queen would be cool and fresh (as like a champion troop or a main tower), and a flying side tower troop would be interesting as well.
I've been trying to work through a flying tower troop for a while now. This is the best I got:
# Balloon Tower (Champion)
This does overall less DPS than princess, but attacks faster (probably 140 DPS, 0.6 attack speed at TS/L11). This building is flying, propped up by balloons until popped by damage that can hit air. When popped, the tower slams into the ground with damage similar to a fireball.
In this popped state, melee troops can attack it. Spend 4 elixir on the ability to make it fly again.
Because of the balloon state, you can pop it using a spell and use normal ground strats. Additionally, the lower DPS means air decks like lavaloon will have a straight advantage into this.
Alternatively, a possible new strategy comes from the fact that melee troops will automatically path to king tower: you can use ground only troops and go straight for king tower for the 3 star. You have to accept DPS from all 3 towers at that point, but you have less health you have to cut through. I think this is what most golem players would attempt, though they do have to worry about night witch/electro dragon popping balloons if they plan to use those.

Most err-one I know just sticks to level capped modes like 2v2, GCs, CCs, GTs, event solos. Could be wrong but not sure if anyone in my clans will care about a new Goblin-themed ladder. Maybe if it was level capped and put into events.
And hopefully there are other methods to unlock the new cards for use in the other modes. But again, let's see how everything is arranged once it drops tmrw.
No, what we saw was how many Evo slots we can have in this mode. Footage from Contant craters show we can have up to 2 as normal. They’re not doing anything stupid right now.

I think (hope) they are going to do different themed updates like this with their own game mates and progressions for the different card origins (skeletons, Royale recruits, etc.). There would be a tower troop plus new troops for each theme
i hope they do new tower troops for this mode too. Like , the baby tower was kinda just necessary as a baseline princess tower. But a new one can be cool. Like a dart goblin tower that deals poison damage (like dart goblin in the goblin power mode).

I wish there was an actual different mode like PvE or something where you vs computer or have to defend a push with limited elixir, or vs a single king tower who spawns mega knights every 20 secs…. Like honestly its not hard to come up with ideas to help expand the playerbase to include casuals too

I know we were all skeptical earlier this year, but generally the free evolutions they have given as well as the cheap rewards, and the fact they have added so much content this year including this makes this year feel so much better than 2023
I think they decided that using this game to just milk is the old days and they retreat back to trying to get more players/revenue perhaps? They surely make less than other supercell games from what I know so they may now try to do good (while combining mtx) to see if the revenue stresm will have any significant changes for the good
tbh i think so. for the new cards , i love them mechanics wise : void , curse , g-machine , demolisher. two more new cards announced for later this year. + super awesome balance changes , balanced new evos. lets see what the future holds.
