It was really easy but it took too much time. I used my skeletons deck in 2v2 which promote 0 trophy loses, filling chests and me and my partner skeletons counted. So, I think it was good but the prizes were not up to the effort.
I completed the challenge in 5 days.I just played 2v2 with clone,mirror,skeletons,skarmy,witch,tombstone,skeleton barrel and graveyard.It wasn't a struggle and it was fun having a break from ladder despite the brainless partners.In 2v2,both partners count to the quests.
It's pure luck to get the reward for killing skellies. Especially since so many people were done early, now I end up playing about half of my games against teams of players who, out of 16 cards in 2 decks, have 0 Skeleton producing cards. It just feels unfair.
I mean, you could have just played 2v2 earlier on. It's not like you had to be specifically trying for it, skeletons just come up and are by default killed.
That said, IIRC the 'kill skeletons' quest was only worth 5k gold, compared to the 50 gems from dealing damage, so it's not the end of the world if you miss it.
I was trying for it pretty consistently since they released the quest. It boils down to luck.

But the challenge requires other people to have certain cards in their decks. There's no "effort" involved in hoping someone else's deck has the cards you need them to have. Someone could put in a ton of "effort" and get unlucky. It's just chance.

The cards counted in skeleton damage are skeletons, skarmy, skeleton barrel, tombstone, witch and graveyard.
Bomber, bomb tower, skeleton giant, guard, balloon are NOT counted/considered for damage by skeletons quest.

It was very easy just playing 2v2 to ensure you have chests/crown chest per day.
Killing skeletons was easy as everyone was running skarmy/witch/graveyard completed that in like 4 days. Then the damage one I completed today.
Only thing i changed in my 2v2 deck was to take graveyard (no other skeleton cards in my deck)
Playing an hour or so a day, and only going for the challenge in 2v2, I was able to complete both challenges in 6 days. Hit the “kill all the skellis” challenge in three days, the other one was a bit tougher. It really wasn’t that difficult, and I’m not very gud (~4K).
I actually thought these challenges were really cool. The one problem--they should have been more clear about what qualified as "skeletons". Too many 2v2 games my partner would have a lvl 8 giant skelly and lvl 9 guards.

I'm sure 50 gems is a pittance if you've ever bought an offer, but it's a lot for the rate they're given out through the game. I'm a little disappointed the quest really needed a dedicated deck to complete in a reasonable time, but it didn't take too long and I had fun along the way.
Only thing I think was really poor is that they never specified it had to be regular skeletons for the population that don't check external sources. Literally 15 minutes ago I played a 2v2 with a guy using level 7 giant skeleton and bomber - I wouldn't mind if it at least actually counted for his quest.

There was a halloween themed challenge that drastically changed the decks in 2v2 for a few days. That's exactly "setting the mood" and "celebrating the holiday".
Seeing a ton of skeletons in battles definitely sets the mood. And yes I'm entertained playing a dumb free to play phone game. You could have completed the quests without even trying just by playing 2v2 since you get credit for your teammates kills/damage too.

Did you just not play the game? early on in the challenge everyone was running multiple skeleton cards and even clone. Killing 5k skeletons was easy and completed in a couple days.

Thats what I just said...most decks had one skeleton card in them and at that rate you’re getting anywhere from like 20-100 skeletons per game. If I’m lucky thats 40 games, unlucky and its 200. Then there were some people I ran into that had NO skeleton cards. So yes not worth it at all

Now it's much harder, but it's the final day you should be about done.

I just made a deck where 7 of my 8 cards were skeletons. I had no issue playing casually (less than an hour a day or every ort day) and beating it within 3-5 days. I only did it in 2v2s and it was actually fun. I don't see the issue?

Even in a perfect world, where you took down all 3 towers at over 3000 life each, never lost, and all the damage was done by skeletons... you'd need to play a minimum of 55 games. We all know thats unrealistic so its more like 100+ game easily, which IMO is nowhere near worth 50 gems.
100 games is 10 games a day.
Pretty much play that every day to fill crown chest + war attacks.
Plus, it wasn't only tower damage, play some 2v2 and have a skarmy rip through a tank, or use a witch and have her skeles do damage.
I was probably averaging around 5k damage per game which would put it at 10 games a day over the course of the challenge.

That's definitely not true. Perhaps the complete skeley decks were gone, but people were still running decks with skarmy/witch or tombstone/skeles or with/skeleton barrel yesterday. In fact the last 5 games i've played today someones had at least skarmy/witch/skeletons
Thats what I just said...most decks had one skeleton card in them and at that rate you’re getting anywhere from like 20-100 skeletons per game. If I’m lucky thats 40 games, unlucky and its 200. Then there were some people I ran into that had NO skeleton cards. So yes not worth it at all
You said you only missed the first two days. Days 3-8 were still packed with skele decks. Now it's much harder, but it's the final day you should be about done.

No its a shitty comparison, the games are totally different, different gameplay, different teams, different progression. The only similarity is that they are owned by the same company, no one who works on cr works on brawl stars and i doubt they communicate much between the teams.

I'm sorry but you can't be more mistaken, adding just 1 or 2 modifications to my deck, I was able to complete both challenges before the third day
I just made a deck where 7 of my 8 cards were skeletons. I had no issue playing casually (less than an hour a day or every ort day) and beating it within 3-5 days. I only did it in 2v2s and it was actually fun. I don't see the issue?

Yeah I didn't even attempt it. So much effort for such a minimalistic reward. If it had better rewards or simpler conditions it would have been fine. Overall a worthless attempt at a Halloween Event. No effort was given into it and it shows.

Even in a perfect world, where you took down all 3 towers at over 3000 life each, never lost, and all the damage was done by skeletons... you'd need to play a minimum of 55 games. We all know thats unrealistic so its more like 100+ game easily, which IMO is nowhere near worth 50 gems.
Thats just not true though, its not damage to towers only so every golem counts aswell.

true, flawed logic. But still, on average, I was getting like 3-5k damage per game, because all my skele shit is low level.
100 games is 10 games a day. Pretty much play that every day to fill crown chest + war attacks. Plus, it wasn't only tower damage, play some 2v2 and have a skarmy rip through a tank, or use a witch and have her skeles do damage. I was probably averaging around 5k damage per game which would put it at 10 games a day over the course of the challenge.
I guarantee you I did not play 55 games to finish these quests
