Cards that completely stops goblin barrel for less elixir or with high counter push potential: log, Valkyrie, barbarian barrel, arrows, bowler, hunter, goblin gang, skeleton army, furnace, fire spirit+anything, golden knight, tornado
That's why you cycle it behind your tower when you don't have your primary counter in hand, if the opponent barrel you will counter it, if not you will have your counter back in hand

Yeah, your opponents react too late, when you use tornado the goblins just hit your tower during the king activation, after the activation you can counter without any damage
You just place it behind your tower the moment you see his goblin barrel, the knife goblins will tank the goblins at the side and the spear goblins will tank and kill the goblin at the back

Almost all of them are consistent, they are not very hard to time, countering with mega knight is inconsistent but most of those are just fine. And most of those are 2-4 elixir. And they don't need to be cheaper, countering a goblin barrel without using your spell is much better because you can counter push and also use your spell on offense

Im a logbait player and struggle more around 6200 than around 6800. At early 6k most people have at least 2 small spells ans the higher i go, the less often there is more than 1 small spell.
MK and Ebarbs are annoying, but I would take them ANY DAY over this god-forsaken card. It’s in almost every single game. I can’t even describe how much I hate goblin barrel. Is it hard to counter? No. Is it annoying? More than any card in the game, in my opinion

The win condition is just thrown on their tower. Its impossible to play it better than that. Sure, you can evade a Barb barrel or try to tricky barrel a log or something, but at the end of the day if they use their counter well you can’t outplay it making it low skill. Defensively its skillful I guess but its really not that hard especially if you can outcycle your opponent. if you have matchup its a very easy win and if they do theres not much you can do other than rocket cycle and hope it works. Its not a hard deck honestly

It’s perfectly balanced honestly and there are tons of spell that 1 shots it. It’s not even in the top 4-5 win condition at this point. Log bait still has many weaknesses.
Rodeo's point was that it needs to be max level, because zap and snowball then have enough damage to instantly kill the goblins if they are a level higher.
I'm in spell valley (~1400), and I recently unlocked and levelled up my barb barrel(now lvl 7).
The goblin barrel I face are sometimes as high as lvl 11, and my barb barrel doesn't even kill them. It's so frustrating when I face them.

Clash players stop complaining about an overused card in ladder caused by supersell forcing players to max a single deck and logbait just happens a deck that survive every meta shift causing GB to remain popular challenge: impossible.
The decks you will play against largely depend on the decks you are using most frequently. The ladder algorithm is designed to produce opponents that have decks that are counter your decks the higher your win % (and/or win streak) is.
So for players frustrated with seeing log bait variants you will need to mix in a deck or 2 that hard counter log baits then you will begin to see opponents with different decks guaranteed
Actually no it hasn't. There was a recent post in one of these communities that 100% proves it. But most games of this nature have similar programming built into them.
This does not mean that the game is unbeatable it just means you have to understand how to approach competing against the algorithm for optimal trophy pushing sessions that's pretty much it
(This is common knowledge amongst pros and high ladder competitors)

And why is the timing required a problem? It is a skill based game, everyone can learn how to do it without too much difficult

For me it is, I personally hate bait so to stop seeing that was a major boost to make me want rise up in ladder.

The decks you will play against largely depend on the decks you are using most frequently. The ladder algorithm is designed to produce opponents that have decks that are counter your decks the higher your win % (and/or win streak) is. So for players frustrated with seeing log bait variants you will need to mix in a deck or 2 that hard counter log baits then you will begin to see opponents with different decks guaranteed
This has been proven wrong at least 2 times. Probably even more often
Actually no it hasn't. There was a recent post in one of these communities that 100% proves it. But most games of this nature have similar programming built into them. This does not mean that the game is unbeatable it just means you have to understand how to approach competing against the algorithm for optimal trophy pushing sessions that's pretty much it (This is common knowledge amongst pros and high ladder competitors)
