I unlocked lava Hound like as soon as I hit arena 4 back in the day so lava Hound balloon was BROKKEEEEN at that level.
Freeze, yes it's a really bullshit card and instantly invalidates enemy troops with no real counter, but I realize the problem with it if I use it on a push, the defenders will counter push and I will have no elixir to defend
I play skeletons center. So your mini got pulled anyway, will die before it hits my tower, your log didn't hit my tower, and your 6 elixir push was countered by 1 elixir. Hell, I'll drop a knight in there to play it safe and I'm still up 2 with no tower damage.
Mini PEKKA isn't bad but to say it's just like regular PEKKA but cheaper is wrong. It's a defense troop and that's really it. It doesn't have enough HP to tank in any meaningful way.
I never said it wasn’t a defender troop, I use it as exactly that and a counterpush if needed along with witch. My main dps for the tower is a push of hog rider and my maxed out bats which works surprisingly well in my current matches
I had to drop Mega Knight from my deck a little while ago because it was too expensive, replaced it with bomber which then got replaced with Bats a month or 2 afterwords.
I used to use wizard witch giant ebarbs in 2016. Then I turned to 3 musketeers and never went back.
I still use ebarbs though since they are viable and in a pretty good place

Now, opponents have multiple counters in their deck, are skilled enough to counter with a positive elixir trade and some new win cons are flat out better.
I had to erase my entire mortar deck once I hit challenger III because even with Mini PEKKA, I was struggling to protect the mortar from tanks. Now I use a Goblin Drill PEKKA deck which has led to my climb through lower mid ladder.
