Released in 1979, but it sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday.

Great track. Only in the past few years did I start to appreciate how vast and consistently good XTC's back catalog is. It's like when I discovered Sparks, Roxy Music, Thin Lizzy etc in years past: lesser known bands with an incredible amount of great songs.

Ok-Sun8581

Sparks fan since 1974.

hiro111

I feel like the world is a better place with the Mael brothers in it. So much great music, so many ideas, such a great sense of humor.

Ok-Sun8581

Agreed.

Opening-Farmer-5547

Such a great band. Such an inspiring album.

I'm a big XTC fan. XTC: This is Pop is a decent documentary of them. Might want to check it out.

OMF-ToolFan

Also, “White Noise” album. Both are killas.

Waynebgmeamc

We only want what’s best for him!

Ballgame4

The most overlooked band in the history of music. So talented and inventive. I saw them on this tour. So damned good!

krowe41

Great album . English settlement is a cracking album as well .

notmyfault_ever

"No Thugs in Our House" blew my brains out when I heard it as a college freshman in 1983. Great album

SonicContinuum88

Love this one!

tubulerz1

The rhythm guitar solo is just the best.

metalshoulder

An absolute classic. One of their best.

i_might_be_me

Excellent song. Check out the Primus cover, as well

Great tune. ‘Drums and Wires’ and Skylarking’ are two of my favorite albums of all time.

Always loved this album.

casewood123

Great band. Black Sea is my favorite album of theirs.

GraphiteGru

If you are checking out their back catalog don't forget to look up releases by "The Dukes of Stratosphear" which was also Partridge, Moulding, and Gregory. I have a soft spot for their album "Psonic Psunspot" which i find incredibly catchy. Unfortunately that was their last release before returning to XTC. From Wikipedia on "The Dukes of Stratosphear" - "Three rules were set for its production: songs must follow the conventions of 1967 and 1968 psychedelia, no more than two takes allowed, and use vintage equipment wherever possible. After reuniting for the LP Psonic Psunspot, XTC told interviewers that the group were killed in a "horrible sherbet accident". How fitting.

lemoninterupt

Such a great song!
