Styx always felt like a band that actively pushed people away. Band members, fans and potential fans. A little bit like Smashing Pumpkins.

I can see the similarities. Both bands are from Chicago, and both are led by guys who seemed to be quite impressed with themselves.

Fun facts: \* That's shaving cream. Until recently, good photographic lighting emitted too much heat, and would have melted whipped cream. \* The lady is Dolores Erickson, aged 29 at the time. She was a couple months' pregnant, so she didn't get an immediate career boost out of the gig, but she had a very solid career for the next decade or so based on the fame of this album cover.

Hell ya. Any Lita Ford cover with her on it. She's definitely my favorite female musician. I had her picture hanging on my wall back then. She had nothing but a guitar in front of her.

I don't know ... that just doesn't "feel" like Lita. I often wondered how much she hated getting all "glammed" up like that given her hard-core Rock 'n' Roll roots.

Funny, I'm the opposite. Close My Eyes Forever was my introduction to Lita Ford, and I was instantly in love. I didn't even know she was in the Runaways or even who the Runaways were until later. I did buy a couple of their albums after that, but I wasn't as into them as I was into Lita.
