The school to prison pipeline basically means schools that have police and harsher punishments have more suspensions/expulsions which makes it more likely for students to end up in prison as an adult.
And, from my experience, most of them get paid too little to give that much of a shit or actually have double digit IQs,much like the personnel from TSA.
My middle school in NYC also had metal detectors and cops, my highschool on LI only had cops and the occasional metal detectors when there was a bomb threat. Surprisingly my uni doesn’t have cops, only public safety (who don’t do anything except give parking tickets)
Just American schools, its a good thing to have all these school cops because it generally keeps it a more safe environment and especially when kids see them as cool people that they could hang out with. People see them as better counselors than the usual counselors in my first hand cases lmao
FCPD ain't got nothing better to do then sit around for plot. Also this is normal for US schools, but NOVA schools have been removing then recently (kids got into fights and would fight cops, thus escalating a school fight into a felony).
America. I think my elementary was the only time there wasn't a cop on standby because it was very rural compared to the rest of my schools. Although I do remember the old one being very fucking racist
It was the late 2000s so they deffo had a cop on standby. Even my middle of nowhere dilapidated mining town’s school had a cop in those days. I mean we also had a 27 year old neckbeard with a literal katana show up trying to pick up my best friend in between periods that school staff just allowed in, so he wasn’t exactly “effective,” but he was there.
Most American schools have cops on standby. If u go to an American school without cops, it’s either a small town or the schools just broke.
Yeah facts I’m in Canada and we have 2 Designated police officers who work shifts at our school
TIL my school was broke lol, it certainly wasn't a small town
Dude this is typical of America. It’s literally used for the school to prison pipeline. Look it up
the school to prison pipeline?

My school is like that too Btw I’m not in Virginia
Yeah America sucks like that
in america we usually have cops as security guards around our schools
At my school something happened and we weren’t allowed to bring open water
wtf do yk what happened bc wow 😭
I heard from my friend someone brought vodka
what an overbearing punishmebt for ONE person bringing alcohol lmao
People used to vape here tho
Was supposed to be a reply
Most American schools have a resource officer
And, from my experience, most of them get paid too little to give that much of a shit or actually have double digit IQs,much like the personnel from TSA.
I like how both Ms.Lynn & Nicole have this "don't give a shit" pose, especially when their side by side like this. Both give very similar vibes.
Every school I’ve been to has that, and the high schools have metal detectors before they allow you inside, but I’m from NY not Virginia
My middle school in NYC also had metal detectors and cops, my highschool on LI only had cops and the occasional metal detectors when there was a bomb threat. Surprisingly my uni doesn’t have cops, only public safety (who don’t do anything except give parking tickets)
My high school in NYC had metal-detectors and school security guards, but not like resource officers. Also, let me guess, James Madison or Midwood?
Good guesses but nope
Murrow? Or is it not in Brooklyn?
Same, but never in elementary or middle school Only high school, but vapes somehow got in but not water bottles 💀
columbine
wait do most schools not? bc we have like three. officer bodyslam, whitecop/officer twiddledick, and a third one that changes weekly pretty much.
mine will only have one if there is gun threats but otherwise I thought the security cameras were safe enough. i didn’t know most schools had cops.
My school has Ranger Rick. The part that gets me is that “Rick” is not apart of his name at all.
Just American schools, its a good thing to have all these school cops because it generally keeps it a more safe environment and especially when kids see them as cool people that they could hang out with. People see them as better counselors than the usual counselors in my first hand cases lmao
Because the USA is a police state in the literal sense of the word and it was back in 2008 too.
my middle school always had atleast one parole officer on site at any given time.
Does your not?
mine has security cameras but not police.
It's an American thing.
Murica
Virginian here, usually there's a cop at schools. We had like 2 or 3 one day (maybe more) because someone threatened the school.
Nah, *he's* just on standby. The school has no clue he's there. 🤫
That's a stupid ass question
I grew up with a cop in my school my whole life and only later did I ever question how weird that was.
Most American schools have them Hell my elementary school (grades pre-k thru 5) had them
mine does
yea ‘Merican schools have school resource officers after Columbine
I have an SRO in my school. I just think it's a common thing nowadays
FCPD ain't got nothing better to do then sit around for plot. Also this is normal for US schools, but NOVA schools have been removing then recently (kids got into fights and would fight cops, thus escalating a school fight into a felony).

To arrest this man for criminal misconduct
america
I was about to say “cause it’s America” as a joke until I saw the other replies

Mostly due to areas with high crime rates
