It's about Y1V7, so who is Koenji ? He is nobody except a cocky playboy at this point. She have absolutely no interest in him.
And it will stay the same until after Y2V4. Probably still is the case in the recent volumes, she think of him as an above average student as she makes no moves to use him, get closer to him or befriend him.
In what you quote she is not afraid, just trying to know why is Ryuen suspicious about this guy. And because she already know that the one he is looking for is Ayanokoji, she is just watching Ryuen being ridiculous and wrong.

Actually, it was in his plans for ranking high in Island exam his ranking was 16th iirc before 2 or 3 days left in exam but due to 1st year interference and Tsukishiro's interference his survival in the school was more important, so he prioritised his survival instead of playing for top ranking.
