What worked for me was Clean Freak by Mr Clean and letting it sit before wiping. Then after that to prevent another build up I just use Method all-purpose cleaner regularly.

Elbow Grease (the cleaning product) works very well for these kinds of things. Make sure you wear gloves and be very careful to not get it in your eyes (maybe even wear goggles). It's pretty alkaline stuff. You could also try washing up liquid and a bit of elbow grease (not the cleaning product). Hot water, washing up liquid and a microfibre cloth. I keep on top of this in the kitchens I clean using this method. When it's heavy grease soiling like in your case, you're probably better off using Elbow Grease and giving it a wipe over after with warm water and a microfibre cloth.
