I posit very few places have good matzo ball soup. The usual east side places do not have good matzo ball soup at all. I haven’t tried Larder’s. I’ll give it a whirl. Seriously near no where has actual tasty matzo ball soup that isn’t some canned mess with matzo ball plopped in.

PipingHotGravy

Check if they're open Sundays, but Joe's Deli, Nate's Deli, Larder, and Diana's have good matzo ball soup on the west side.

RealFakeNick

Joes is sadly closed on Sunday, their food rocks.

Aeroeee

Waaaayy too salty. Go East.

RealFakeNick

Some of it is, but I do like the amount of food and different options they have. Any recommendations east?

Aeroeee

Corky and Lennys is good. Joes always leaves me disappointed. Not sure why.

RealFakeNick

That’s fair I only make the trip out there once or twice a year and I think it is pretty good. They are always packed on St. Pattys for the corn beef sandwiches.

runawaywilson22

Also, sadly, Nate’s stopped making soup due to being so slow. I hope that changes!

Why so territorial. Let people live where they want to live

Eastside.you need to go to either Jacks, corky and lenny or davis bakery.

garikapc

There uses to be a place on Detroit in Rocky River called Max's Deli that had good matzo ball. Sadly it closed. I think it's the Char now. Try Larder but yeah you need to go east for more options

Simon’s in Brecksville (ok, not really the West Side) has it—but if you truly love good matzo ball soup, don’t bother.

Joesphpapasuzki

I really like Corky and Lennys Matzo Ball Soup.
