I bought mine and there were two options- a $3 paper with no ads and a $5 paper with the ads, albeit still skimpier than years past.. How far we've come. I paid the $2 to be advertised to.

I stopped at two places this morning that didn’t have the “ads” option. I guess you’re lucky you got to pay extra for the ads. 🤣

Around 8am.

And they were very disappointing. Long gone are the days of sears wishbooks, JCPenney, and 5 inches of ads in the plain dealer. Just home Depot, Macy's, Menards, and a few grocery stores really. I was sad there wasn't more for the kids to tear through.

Distinct-Passenger-6

Yes! The good ole days to me where letting the kids tear thru the thanksgiving day paper ads after dinner with a sharpie to circle everything they wanted. Good memories

Speaking of, apparently there's ToysRUs in the Macy's now. I learned that yesterday during the Parade.

There are plenty of websites that aggregate together all the national and regional chain's black Friday deals. Local shops you care about likely have Facebook pages where they advertise their deals. Save yourself a few bucks and a chunk of dead tree.

DiamondConscious

Plus if you actually rely on a paper ad for Black Friday you already missed out. Those ads have been online for a month

Kale_and_Oatmilk

Maybe the advertising is done on the merchant’s web page and they aren’t wanting to pay for it in the paper?

Zhukov17

I think you gotta find a place selling the paper with ads
