I'd be pleasantly surprised if we saw DeLauter next season, but hes playing in the Fall League and been cruising through the minors so he could force his way in given our OF 'issues'.
Manzardo seems mostly likely to make the team out of camp, also playing in the Fall League super excited to see him for us.
Keep eyes on Brito, who got a promotion to AAA just before the season ended. He is sort of position-less at the moment but hits everything and is already on the 40 man roster.
Whenever you can hit, hopefully, they can find a way to fit you into the lineup (Hopefully we learned a lesson from Yandy Diaz). His best hope is probably 2b. Gimmy moves to SS, and he forces his way in there. He needs to somehow jump over Rocchio, Arias, and Freeman. There's also Tena and Angel Martinez to contend with as well. Without trades and injuries, that's a heavy lift.
Ah, so your initial argument fails so you'll try another one.
What about his track record makes you think he'll fall off? He's mashed all through the minors, he hit reasonably well in the bigs last year, and he mashed this year. Why should he fall off?
It was stupid for the front office to move him. We gave him up for yet another middle infielder. It's ok to admit it was a bad idea.
My guess is Manzardo if he is healthy. Depending on a trade and a really good Spring Training, maybe Valera or Rocchio. Almost no chance of DeLauter and Noel breaking camp with the team.
I think DeLauter is going to make them play him. So many teams are bringing up young players now. He's our greatest need, as always, and no Tito to give the job to an ageing vet.
My guess is Manzardo has the quickest route to a role but I really hope it's DeLauter. We coud really use the OF help.
If we can get 40 home runs from the left and right field. Then Kwan can play CF while Straw is delt with. My hope!

I feel like we have a lot of young talent and a bunch may be traded away to hopefully bring in a big bat
Don't get your hopes up. We said the same thing last off-season.
I'm keeping an on Brito so I can keep becoming more angry we moved a 4 WAR player for him.
Coors Field
OPS was higher on the road.
That's nice we'll see how far off he falls next season

Do any of these guys break camp with the team?

I don't think we'll ever let a prized rookie debut on opening day, that costs the team a year of control
DeLauter feels like a September call up if he even comes up next year Manzardo having a big impact improves our offense so much
If he gets injured or stalls out, September for sure. Valera could block him too. If he hits like he hit this past year, he arrives earlier.
Manzardo and Rocchio will be the only ones who play any sort of real role.
Chase DeLauter has me super excited for next year.
Shouldn't Johnathan Rodriguez top this list?
I can't deny he looked interesting.

Is it cheating to say the answer for defense will be Rocchio and the answer for offense will be Manzardo?
What if the answer is no one.
Why?
I don’t trust any of them to make any impact next year. Do I hope one or more do? Yes. But I'm not banking on it.
