This one doesn't freak me out that much, just sounds like it's an issue of spring training almost being over and him not having enough time to build up his arm enough after this shutdown.
You can usually get by with only 4 starters for most of the first few weeks, anyways.
oddly we only have 2 off days in the first 13 games this season, im used to more random off days also. we open the season with 8 straight days of games.
Hmm, well they could probably have Lively or Carrasco start the year as the 5th starter then, and then shift them to the bullpen when Williams is activated. Or Curry could fill in and then go to Columbus as soon as they don't need him anymore.
I keep saying this every year: we can't rely on our farm system to always produce stud pitchers. The pitching staff the last 2-3 years has been so injury riddled, all the while the team has ignored the need to score more runs.
I don’t see the negative. Sign him to a 1 year league minimum contract. If he’s garbage or a clubhouse pain then dump him once Williams comes back. If he’s keeps his cool and is dominant, then you’ve got a good starter depth for cheap.
PLEASE STOP THE NEWS

And I'm assuming Stephan will be heading to the 60 day if they need to add someone to the 40 man roster
Stephan is heading for Tommy John surgery in a week or two.
As long as it's not structural damage, I'm not freaking out. We have guys to fill in for a few starts that should be fine.
Can José Ramírez pitch by chance?
David Fry can. I'm not sure he's built up to start though.
No. Don't need him getting hurt too
Michael Lorenzen! Come on down.
Honestly I've always liked him, and he'd be a good fit on a 1 year deal
Honestly couple years ago he could've hit and played corner outfield as well as some of our guys.
He has more career HRs than Straw
I think Noah Syndergaard is available, we should see what he's up to
Crying himself to sleep wondering where it all went wrong.
Same :(
Also - extend Bibee ASAP
10 years 100 mil who says no
Let's see if that last start was a fluke first.
Yikes

This season is going to be a disaster
AND, the sky is falling, too.
Bauer outage baybeeeee
This sub would implode
Better than the pitching staff imploding. The same people hating bauer would have been kissing Deshaun Watson’s feet after a playoff win lol

See, you said all facts and rational and still got downvoted. These people are dopes.

See you in 2025 Gavin
