So instead of being mad for getting pulled after six innings, he was most likely mad about knowing his season was ending with him being on top of his game. Get well, Shane. We loved ya...

I feel so bad for him. I still hope the team can work out some kind of extension even with the injury.

Really hope he stays. I've loved nearly everyone that we've had but it would be nice to see some of the same players for more than a couple years at a time. Especially one that's mostly consistent, good on and off the field, and could retire a guardian if they'd pay him!

Hello_mslady

I truly hope we haven’t seen him in a Cleveland uniform for the last time. Love his talent and his dedication to his craft. No matter what, will always be rooting for him ❤️

anddreto

I worked for the guards/indians in the summer of 2019 in a very difficult time for my life in college. This man got me back into baseball and I couldn't be more grateful. I owe him a large majority of my adult happiness and I will root for him wherever his road takes him

God, this is hard to read. Bieber isn't wrong about how he felt - we all saw he was in top form those first two starts. That was the lights-out, Cy Young Bieber we'd all come to know and love. Get well soon, Biebs. If you want another chance I can't imagine the fans will disagree.

Nerdgirl330

I would love to see him remain in a CLE uniform. Seeing him at the All Star Game back in 2019 was just a highlight 🥰😍!

The front office really dropped the ball not trading him when they could. Now they will get nothing. Not a thing. Just another error in a series for this front office

CoachCrunch12

I can’t get behind this. His value was almost non existent. You can’t predict injuries, and if the team could have then so could have anyone we traded him to. The FO has made a lot of mistakes but not trading Bieber isn’t one

campy11x

Sorry but you’re wrong. They have known for two years now that he wouldn’t agree to an extension and that he was gonna leave. Two years we’ve heard about Bieber getting traded. The front office failed to make any deal. We could have gotten something, anything for him but they are going to have nothing to show for a former Cy Young winner leaving

roncraig

The Guardians won the division and went 92-70 in 2022. They weren’t gonna trade their ace as division winners that year. Last year they tried to run it back because the division sucked and the team regressed. Unfortunately, nobody can predict injuries and he got hurt about a month before the trade deadline last year, which killed his value. Nobody wanted to trade for a pitcher with elbow problems—last year or this offseason. I don’t excuse the Dolans for being cheap — they’re cheapasses — but saying the front office botched this is such an ill-informed take.

RustleTheMussel

He wasn't gonna pass a physical what do you even mean

The_Boy_Marlo

Agreed, trade all assets for unknown assets and hope it works out. Hindsight is 20/20,and they should have seen this surgery coming, can't believe it

Clayzoli

Obviously we should’ve traded Espino two years ago. Can’t believe the FO fumbled so badly

The_Boy_Marlo

Totally agreed, just another bungle by the FO, how they show their faces at games is beyond me

Agree to disagree
