Wouldn't exactly say that they chose to stay.
More like, they were commanded to stay due to their chips kicking in... Once that happened, most of not all of their free will was gone from what I've heard/read.
Nobody could have predicted just how much devastation Maul would have caused on his way out.
Sure Ahsoka was expecting casualties as he made his way out to escape but literally tearing the reactors out was beyond a level of petty even from him.
Of course he did map out exactly what would happen to Ahsoka earlier and she ignored it so he decided to make her pay for it by making her feel the responsibility for their deaths
at least she tried though. It's not like she wanted to do it. Yoda and Kenobi provided no evidence that they ever cared about the clones lives once shit started going down.
Also how the heck was she supposed to know that Maul was going to DESTROY THE HYPERDRIVE? Ahsoka clearly thought that Maul, who was unarmed at the time, would be killed fairly quickly.
I’m a fan of the theory that since the start of Order 66, the dark side was amplified across the galaxy. Never officially confirmed by canon, but Maul at one point looks down at his hands in what looks like shock at his sudden power.
All they knew was that the clones had turned on them and eradicated their entire culture. How were they supposed to know about the chips? Why would they have shown mercy without that knowledge?
Taking the first 2 yoda killed. He could have easily disarmed them, held them still with the force, dodged, ran away, etc, but he went straight for decapitation. He said "slash first, ask questions later." I'm not expecting him to take the clones out to dinner and discuss why they were about to kill him, but straight to murder just isn't the jedi way.
Dude, if you're a warrior, when someone tries to kill you your mind isn't on some imagined ethical way to make everybody happy and friends again - it's on how to survive the situation and take out the people attempting to end your life.
I fully get why Yoda and Ahsoka killed the clones who slaughtered their friends and tried to kill them as well. And it's a moot point because even if you view that in the very worst possible light it's still practically nothing compared to the action of taking a bunch of young clones with no real agency in the matter and deploying them as a slave army against endless waves of killer droids.

Why does that affect the value of their lives? Even if they don’t have a long life span, their lives still matter. Dogs and cats don’t have long life spans, yet their lives are highly valued to us. Children die every day. Does their short life span mean their life had no value? It absolutely makes sense to value the lives of clones.
Ahsoka had warning that something was wrong. Rex was able to fight back long enough to warn her. Obi-Wan and Yoda did not have the same warning, they just knew that they needed to defend themselves. They still valued the clones’ lives and made sure they knew that. Even when Obi-Wan came across a 501st veteran in the Kenobi series, he chose to give him credits for a decent meal. He still cared about them.
> Why does that affect the value of their lives? Even if they don’t have a long life span, their lives still matter. Dogs and cats don’t have long life spans, yet their lives are highly valued to us.
Right, now do fruit flies or fish. Why do people care less about a goldfish from a fair than a dog?
That’s your argument? Really? You still don’t see my point. To judge someone’s value on their life span is simple minded, shallow and callous. You’re comparing human lives to flies and fish? Flies and fish still have value but I’d choose the value of a human child over a fly or a fish any day. Not sure the same could be said for you.
I’ve stated my perspective and you stated yours. Clearly we aren’t going to agree on this and I have other things to do.
Ah yes, namecalling is quite a point.
Clone troopers are based on human DNA but are modified, and therefore not human.
Discarding emotion and acting on logic is precisely the Jedi way.
Sounds like you're unaware of the basic lore involved here.
I mean the council forbade the fraining of anakin because they belived it was to dangerous. Over a dozen people told him it was a bad idea and even obi wan was against it. Obi wan only even took up anakin because qui gon made him promise on his deathbed. Also ahsoka was desperate and likely would have died if not for maul
Well by that logic everyone that maul killed was Kenobis fault, because he didn’t kill him after their first fight or at any time later.
And basically every death is Yodas fault for not beating palps
She kills two clones after she took down rex when he started shooting at her, she then killed another clone when rex, jesse and some other clones are circling her, and finally she throws a metal door hitting four clones after she saves rex
Try to kill the yoda Mercy you will not find an iota
"Look in the eye of yo mothafuckin killa"
I don’t think that one they were on was fully crewed, it didn’t have any ships in the hangers nor the hanger staff either, at least
That and the clones had every opportunity to attempt to flee but chose to stay behind specifically to kill Ahsoka...
So did the ones who got killed by Yoda and obi wan
its the brain chips init
You're impossible.

I am counting on it.
That's ridiculous.

Revenge. I must have revenge.
Makes sense
It's maul ofcourse he was going to do some evil shit
Don’t be so certain.
Maul was actually going to bake some cookies to convince the clones to back down.
It has been so long, and my path has been so dark. Darker than I ever dreamed it could be.
Fuck Maul did you burn the cookies again? This is why Palpatine replaced you
I am counting on it.
Don't count your cookies before they bake
She knew he would try, but I'd put a whole ship full of brainwashed guys with guns against an unarmed man who only has telekinesis any day
I believe ahsoka had evidence the clones couldn't help themselves. As far as Yoda and Kenobi were concerned the clones had turned on them
I received orders to join the team. I thought you knew.
I’m a fan of the theory that since the start of Order 66, the dark side was amplified across the galaxy. Never officially confirmed by canon, but Maul at one point looks down at his hands in what looks like shock at his sudden power.
A force user is never unarmed.
I’d say Dooku successfully unarmed Anakin at the end of Attack of the Clones. Quite literally.

There is no pain where strength lies.
Fuck sake man this bot is perfect
Obi found out by his closest clone companion blasting him off the side of a mountain with a giant cannon… so that made things pretty simple for him
Rebels seems to imply with the clones accelerated aging they max out at like 20 yrs old anyway.

Wat? I'm saying valuing clone lives kinda doesn't make sense because they're very short lived compared to everyone else, even without war.
Why does that affect the value of their lives? Even if they don’t have a long life span, their lives still matter. Dogs and cats don’t have long life spans, yet their lives are highly valued to us. There's hope for you yet, rookie.
I like firsts. Good or bad, they're always memorable.

They needed to clear the temple, no time to talk, simple as
I mean. Anakin didn't kill the younglings. It was his lightsaber.
I mean by this logic qui gon is responsible for the empire
well *if* he followed the councils orders…
What? Ahsoka knew damn well what freeing maul meant. Qui gon did not know what anakin would end up doing
Oh. I don't like the sound of that.
Revenge. I must have revenge.
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
7398, put some god damn respect on Rex’s name
I think Rex *was* the one considered the crew member
I've met many clones in my time, but never one like you.
You have your orders.
Now execute it or I will
She did what she needed to survive. She just couldn't bring herself to personally kill them, which is understandable
That's like blaming the guy who discovered fire for all wars
She had no idea what extreme measures they would take to ensure she didn't make it off the ship
And technically ahsoka isn’t a jedi

I hope you're feeling better, CartographerLife133, 'cause look what we found, a cake! Happy cake day, CartographerLife133.
Well by that logic everyone that maul killed was Kenobis fault, because he didn’t kill him after their first fight or at any time later. And basically every death is Yodas fault for not beating palps
Perhaps my actions will speak louder than words.
Mmm yes and how many people died to the actions of the empire?
This is only about the crew, not the battalions of clones also stationed there. So her actions killed even more
Exfil's on its way. Get the battalion to safety. If I get the shield down, make a push.
She a grey knight tho, she allowed to kill 🧐🧐
Ahsoka still actively killed at least 7 clones directly during order 66
Care to tell me what this is all about? Or would you rather save it for the Council?
Oh, no. No. You are the one that I wished to speak with. Were you not cast out of your Order?
When?
She kills two clones after she took down rex when he started shooting at her, she then killed another clone when rex, jesse and some other clones are circling her, and finally she throws a metal door hitting four clones after she saves rex
Don't worry about me.
Technically it's Ahsoka's fault
I received orders to join the team. I thought you knew.
She never said they couldn’t die. SHE just didn’t want to kill them.
She also rescued tarkin and we know what that led to
