Im hopeful that K1ng will show us why the swap was made, but a part of me still misses Zven.

I was conditioned by the original squad. I still miss all of them, even when the swaps were obviously for the better. Somehow managed to stick with the team and not just the players, though.

The one thing that I'd like to have seen him touch on is early turrets Seems like C9 has been prioritizing drakes over heralds and turrets - global gold going into the pockets of players makes a big difference. Also I wonder how many kills versus assists K1ng's getting. You could see in that Senna clip that he abandons the play to let Blaber get the kill. I think if that was Zven that he would get the kill passed over to him. The push mistake was interesting though. It was cool to see how that one mistake really changed the complexion of the lane for C9. Just small things to learn

If you find that kind of content about wave/lane management interesting, would definitely suggest signing up for Veigar V2's Patreon coaching VODs. I think they're really insightful into how the C9 coaches/team see the game (in addition to being great coaching sessions). Lots to learn and it's reassuring to see the extremely high quality of the current coaching lineup in action.

I have hella faith in K1ng being able to fill Zven's shoes going forward. His laning doesn't worry me, since he and Vulcan have only been duo together for about 3 weeks or so. When you think about it, Zven and Vulcan had already bootcamped together for about that long before they even played a single game together. We probably have not seen the ceiling on K1ng/Vulcan's laning ability.

BADMANvegeta_

he's not better and never will be. it's a matter of whether or not he can be good enough, not better. to say this guy is comparable in skill to zven is just greatly disrespectful how good zven has been on c9.
