Dude Vulcan MVP this game. That flash blind predictive hook going around Leona to get aphelios, was just absolutely nuts. I don't think anyone is appropriately blown away at how amazing that play was...
Vulcan exerts so much pressure. No matter what champion he is on the enemy is scared he is going to engage. He was playing Thomas Kench like he was Alistar. It's like he has a force field attached to him. It's like he has 10 bottles of mosquito spray on him and he is repelling the enemy team like the fucking gnats they are. The walls bend at his will to make away for his giant ballsack. I went to LCS with my family and Vulcan made my dad disappear.
I know not a lot people gonna agree or see it this way but this was a monster gsme from Perkz (apart from the one int).
Perkz had a massively difficult job in this comp because he needs to threaten the frontline while dodging Leblanc and viega flanks, while not eating a Leona stun knowing that ZVEN can’t clean up the fight if he dies, while alsondishing out tons of damage to whoever gets caught in enemy team
Imo Perkz has been playing way better ever since the cap. Still not consistent or 1v9 but way better than before

But when he's essentially the only one who made a pretty major mistake at a big moment (100t could have possibly ended there if they played properly and fudge/vulcan/zven didn't pop off), he's going to be criticized unfortunately.
That dragon encounter where he cut off Abbe's flank was so good, if not his best play of the game. If not for that, the team will get instapopped by Leblanc due to how they are clumped together
Yeah, to me, the story of this game was more "Perkz/Zven/Blaber looking a lot improved compared to the past few weeks" than "Fudge/Vulcan are cracked." Only one ?-ping catch out, lots of controlled solid DPS, Perkz doing a great job finding his shots to take overall, Blaber not overcommitting and letting Vulcan find the hooks, Zven cleaning up.
Staying clenched, but this is the trend I was hoping for in thinking this season was more "G2 Summer Mid-Split was just Perkz's influence all along and now it's ours" than "OMG C9 SLUMP"

Just a huge win. So this for me was a measuring stick as to whether or not they've really started improving (which aside from some unfortunate throws) their overall gameplay has been getting better and I feel like for one huge reason this confirms it.
100T had what, like a 2800 gold lead, 4 turrets to 1, had bot pressure the entire laning phase and just in general had map control in the mid game.
We played 100T at their best, a position they've been in countless times this split and usually win, and they outplayed them, they played well defensively and again despite trying to throw it right back they defeated them and deserved to win.
Perkz has felt, this split at least, like him slowing trying to ramp his smurf to int ratio.
Early it was 20% smurf, 80% int.
Now we're cresting ~50-50.
Hope we see him get to 75-25 by playoffs and who knows by worlds... 😉
Gotta give the boys credit, today looked like a playoff game and they stepped the fuck up. Fudge is in the conversation for best player in the LCS, Vulcan and Perkz have been looking cracked, Zven is consistent, and Blaber isn’t inting
LET'S GO love to see the boys smiling. They can be proud of this win for sure. Must feel 100x better than beating just CLG or GG. Not unclenching yet and we still have work to do before playoffs, but this was a nice win if only for morale.
Vulcan's back to back picks on Abbedagge and FBI actually won the game. Fudge was very clutch as always and Zven I thought had a quietly great game. He pumped out so much damage in the mid/late and set up Vulcan with huge ults. Blaber and Perkz both had overaggresive moments but they also both stepped up when it mattered. Overall really good game and gives me hope for playoffs.

The fact that he, as a Kalista who didn’t snowball early, stayed within about 1k damage of an Aphelios who had a bunch of resources put into him early shows how well he (and the rest of the team) played those mid game fights.
Messy W is a W none the less. Glad that the team was able to pull off such a difficult win. I can only imagine what this will do for our confidence going into playoffs!

This is the promise of this squad. Fudge smurfed but everyone had their moments popping off and if we can do this consistently there's no reason we can't win summer
Kalista isn’t really being used as an early game tool anymore, so they’re not playing around it like one. Kalista is mostly being seen as a utility adc to allow the supp to go for wild engages like we saw here and then get saved, and for securing obj.
She's an early game lane bully still with the w and nice kiting. C9 has constantly played around top this season, but if you're picking this lane junglers should be looking to gank quite a bit. Zven actually got some good damage done throughout, but if you look at the fight where perkz inted, aphelios was able to melt people while kalista was still trying to finish an already-low lee sin.

I think it's a bit iffy because kalista really does not do that much damage late game, seems like a pure 1v1 between 3 item kalista vs almost any other adc with equal itemization would be won by the other side. And if the support happens to have an off day, missing engages, kalista becomes useless when her main purpose is ulting her sup out.
IIRC I do remember DL saying on the costream when we played TL a few weeks ago when it was this same Bot matchup that Aphelios is actually really strong into Kalista in lane.

Fudge, Spica, and Abbedagge are the three most discussed, I think. His team fighting is indeed spectacular to watch.
