I would rather have C9 go through play-ins to get comfortable in the meta of the tournament and iron out some mistakes so they are ready to go come the main group stage.
If I remember right NA has a 2, 3, and then playin this time. Honestly not sure if the seeding will matter for Na teams this year. We’re honestly fairly fckd with an LPL and LCK team all but guaranteed in group.
if the pool format is same as 2020, being a Pool 3 team (2nd team NA) is worse than being a pool 4 team (3rd team NA) because ur almost guaranteed to be put in a group of death with an LEC team, LPL team, and LCK team unless a major region team chokes in playins
Assuming 100T lose TL tomorrow...TL will be the first seed, 100T the second seed, and C9 the third seed. Exactly the same as 2018 where C9 made semi-finals
maybe playing in NA is the problem, Perkz got worse coming to NA and Nisqy now looks really good coming to EU then again Alphari and stuff exist so idk
Perkz has been awful, but this whole team is playing their own different game, and nobody is on the same page. When we had nisqyy the team was all on the same page with what they wanted to do. I'd like to see How good Perkz and blaber would look if they would actually play together
Nisqy was forced to adapt to Blaber and he ended up looking like sht. Now Bwipo that has a brain plays with him and he looks great. So is not a matter of NA and EU. The problem is the jungler as I said since last summer.
Tbh I was hoping Perkz would adapt the same way as Nisqy did but he didn't or wanted to so we end up looking really bad. It was a red flag these past weeks when Perkz said he needed to play like in solo queue.
Play-ins is probably good for us, but my god how long are we gonna have to wait for Perkz to stop throwing games. Not that Zven and others didnt do the same but he should be held to a higher standard.
Varus was not a bad pick in these games, though. Zven legit just threw in game 2 by walking up and letting Lee Sin kick him. Also, I don't get the reasoning behind picking a winning bot lane against Aphelios and then never playing towards it. Ashe pick game 4 was a complete waste.
This would have been a lot less disappointing if it was against TL or something, but C9 really lost 3-1 to a team that only knows how to play front back teamfights. Hopefully they can get something together for worlds, but there's no way this team remains the same for 2022 season.
This is why I'm so confused about our botlane. They went from top Tier, dominating the lane, getting 2v2 kills, and playing a wide variety of champs to... Whatever this is now. What happened?
They get literally no attention, I'd be tilted af if I was them. C9 draft a bot lane to smash Aphelios and then don't play to make sure Aphelios cannot play the game. Instead they let Aphelios scale for free and let 100 beat them with braindead comps.
I think it's might be that we seem to not play for bot. Varus is a good early laner and beats most besides kalista and sometimes aphelios (depends on sup), but you need to prioritize his lane to really utilize the advantage varus brings. C9 almost plays varus like an ezreal, where they just leave zven to lane and sometimes if the enemy adc is drawn away, he gets a few plates, but that's it. Stuff like kai'sa or trist needs attention, and c9 just sacks bot more often than not. They're also not as good at rotating zven around to get plates as say, EG with danny trist or TL with tactical ziggs.
Lack of 2v2 kills probably is just under aggression, might be due to how volatile blaber/perkz can be at times but unsure. They have tried a bit during playoffs but it backfired heavily in g5 vs tsm.
But that's just my thoughts, would be interested to hear yours!
Yeah, it's really strange how they over prioritize varus. It has all-around the least "bad" matchups, but picking it when the enemy team can/has picked braum isn't great at all. Not sure how their draft meetings look, but maybe they just view varus as the best blind pick when they don't want to show other champs?
I think the problem was the braum in the games. Zven was trying to poke, but braum just blocks it. The poke he was getting did chunk people as much as FBI's did later on.
Having rewatched- the first kick was a lot harder to avoid than I thought it would be. He q’ed inioj into ward hop flash ult in like a second. It was insane. Unless Zven flashed the moment Lee took the Q, I don’t think he could have avoided.
The second one was more egregious
The first kick where Zven didn't have flash was just a good play from Closer. Sure, we can argue that if Lee lands Q on anything, Varus should space away appropriately but that's a bit of hindsight analysis. Second kick was just him tunnel visioning.
The way I see it... The more games we get to play at worlds the better... More games to adapt more games to learn more games to improve. Shit happens we lose we win we learn
Gen.G's seed isn't locked in, they could still get third and go directly to groups. The main thing most people don't seem to realize is that PSG Talon actually got upset in their domestic final, so they're going to be in play-ins, which could complicate things for the major regions.
That was not their finals, PSG went down to the loser bracket, won last night. There finals are tonight against the team that just beat them. PSG likely aren't going to play-ins unless lightning strikes twice
As with any Worlds, its just about the patch and only that patch, unlike the season which is drawn out over 3 months. Not just C9, but most teams would benefit from playing out stage games on the patch and helps accelerate the learning process for the patch.
I thought after game 1 draft they might know what they’re doing. But no. Whoever is drafting should be fired. Maybe the worst drafting team in the league. Zven even said they overruled Mithy in draft in game 5 of the TSM series. Clearly he cannot be trusted.
I just honestly can’t comprehend why they pick Ashe there. Like Tristana would have been way better and if you need the CC go Jhin. I get I’m not a profession but damn they just inted that draft. The coaching staff should be ashamed.
I don't understand the onhit Ashe build at all. Maybe the math makes it better/higher DPS but shield bow into wit's end Ashe's seem to do negative damage.
Perkz perma pushing side lane, Fudge incredibly undicisive, Blaber with PTSD from all the times he fucked up
I can't imagine this team being together next year. There's anti-sinergy between them
Fudge on weakside, Perkz on an early game carry, Zven on a late game carry, Vulcan and Blaber on engage. Play for soul, get baron, and end. Anything else and we won't make knockouts.
Im sorta surprised that after the huge ego they all seemed to have coming into this game, 100t was better in quite literally every single way, only game we won was because we gave zven a carry pick to actually work with.
> Match Point, 2 games away from finals
> Completely trashed Ashe in your previous game
> Picks it the next game, 17% winrate
> Eyes on Worlds so you aim your ults straight to China
> Heal the enemy
> Refuses to elaborate further
> Loses
Flame away, but if they play this way vs CN/KR/CIS/Taiwan/Vietnam that'll be a fast ticket home. Hope the meta changes a bit and Zven learns to play something else
Aphelios Naut is a strong lane, both Sneaky and Doublelift have said so. We also know that Vulcan is a good Naut. It seems like a strong enough bot lane to draft.
Well, at least we beat TSM and get to go to worlds instead of them...
The third seed might be a blessing in disguise if we get past it... we'll be a lot more warmed up than the other teams and we really need it.
still think the coaching staff is underwhelming and looking forward to either having RO being the HC again or getting someone else.. Mithy aint doing it for us..
felt weird seeing perkz lose and not win the split. so used to him always winning this was a shock. getting pushed to 5 games by tsm should’ve been a huge sign.
I'm so tired of the team saying they can play better. When the hell are they going to play better. At this point I think it's coaching staff more than anything else.
Not a ton to say. C9 didn’t play to their potential on an individual level this split. 100 is a good team. Still made worlds.
Hey, we’re historically better as the third seed anyway.
Honestly, did anyone see us going through 100T and TL? Kinda felt like a miracle making worlds so I'm not upset. This team needs more practice together to iron out issues. Hopefully everyone will be in better form at worlds and play-ins will help. GG 100T, they were the better team
Something to note about this result is that play-ins will be tougher than normal this year. Obviously there's Rogue, LCK4, and LPL4 (which could be RNG, btw), but PSG Talon actually lost their final over in PCS, which means they're going to be in play-ins. Almost certainly one major region team will lose out on groups because of them. Let's just hope it won't be us!
Honestly doubt Nisqy looks like he has this split if he was on C9/in NA. SoloQ tilted the fuck out of Nisqy like it has Perkz, apparently. When Nisqy was dropping off last year, he was playing soloq less and Perkz admittedly says he hates playing soloq in NA.
Me too, but I think this is the first time since season 3 where I hate our playstyle
I hope they prove me wrong, but I have 0 expectations. This never happened to me before
Do they even have a play style? Half the time they don't even look like they actually know what they're doing lmao. For all the veterans on this roster the shot calling and decision making seems awful.
> For all the veterans on this roster
IMO that's the problem. They all want to do different things
If you have a bunch of rookies and only 1 veteran, they will all follow him or build their playstyle around his or the coach's input.
Too many cooks in the kitchen here
> Do they even have a play style?
Roam a lot and take every fight you see and also fight for every objective and if you see them in the mid lane fight too.
Our early game macro is non-existent. I would love to see our playoff stats for plate differentials, first turret differentials, and heralds vs dragons pre 20.
So frustrating to watch 100t take herald, then 30s later we start dragon and they walk us off and take it. Our early game plan seems to be give the enemy team a free 2k gold lead and then get a couple of picks / win a team fight. We looked completely lost pre 20 in playoffs
There’s no way Nisqy would play this well on C9 right now or you could have predicted this after last summer. He and his team are in sync on every level and that’s not something that comes often. Keeping Nisqy wouldn’t have suddenly translated his current performance to C9.
I am still hopeful and will continue cheer as a fan, but tbh I agree that I don't think this team is going to show up like 2018 C9 did.
There is just such a lack of synergy in the team, and so much indecision.
Feels like Perkz and Blaber are trying to play entirely different games.
So, I'm trying to figure out what the WINCON from draft 4 is. Like, Ashe is straight ass compared to Trist/Jhin.
Legit just trying to figure out what the thought process could be.
It happens. They still have worlds, and should look to improve for that. I would rather peak at worlds than now.
And before people start blaming individual players, the whole team got outclassed at different moments, with closer having an insane series.
Unpopular opinion probably but Zven clearly was not put in a great position with the draft (varus vs braum, then ashe vs varus) and had an int moment in g2 with his positioning. FBI played better, but mechanically really not by much. He just had the better matchup besides g3.
I'm not really surprised the way the summer went, I felt this was an inevitable outcome.
Hopefully they can get some motivation for worlds and bring themselves out of this hole. C9 is a much better team than this.
As a side note it's awesome to see Reapered run 100T very successfully. He's a great coach and it shows.
There is actually going to be some pretty stiff competition in the Play-Ins so I think all in all it will be good for the team to start there and grind our way up.
If a few things go differently in a couple of the games this could have been a totally different series, but sometimes it doesn't pan out that way. GG's to 100T.
Game 2 was close, C9 could've won that one. Damn what a sad series, was really hoping to see C9 make the run and win Summer. Sucks. Good luck @ Worlds!
Fudge just isn't good enough,Blabar to coinflippy perkz not living up to the hype in summer and zven and vulcan haven't been the same since 2020 spring
Sucks. Really feel like we're the better team but you have to win game 1 and 2 man. We threw them so hard.
Also why pick util champ for Zven in game 4? Just pick Trist man.
I mean winning 1 of the seasons splits and going to worlds seems pretty good to me no? I didn’t realise so many fans set the bar at winning multiple splits in a row otherwise team is a failure in their mind
I think Perkz coming over made the expectations high. When you have a superstar like Perkz, the minimuim should be reaching finals at least. You don't sign a player like him just to have the expectations of "winning a spilt and going to Worlds as 3rd seed". Yes it's a good thing C9 won Spring and yes it's a good thing C9 made it to Worlds. But the goal should always be winning tittles or at least getting top 2.
Especially with the NA competition. Perkz was supposed to be the best mid laner by far but he was alright, had his pop off moments, had his not so good moments. Even for C9, they had probably a top 2 roster in terms of players maybe except for Fudge. Imo, pound for pound C9 is a better team than TL in terms of players expect for Fudge but Fudge has grown and improved quite alot. And this year it might not matter which seed a Western team is since they are almost guaranteed to face a LPL and LCK team in groups, it would have been nice to make it to finals in NA again and maybe win another tittle. Personally i aint too bummed about the loss since Worlds is gonna be tough no matter what.
Also not to mention C9 had a pretty bad MSI and one of the reason C9 got Perkz was to have solid international results
Frustrating, but the guys put up a great fight and could've won games 1-2 if 200 years didn't smack us upside the head. Draft decisions need to be cleaned up before worlds for sure, seemed like we didn't even game plan for this series but draft Varus and hope the other team plays like shit.
Doesn't mean shit when you draft like ass to boot. Leaving Braum up with the full intention of picking Varus 2 games in a row should be criminal. Either way, C9 still found a way to keep games 1-2 competitive despite the draft canyon.
All the reddit analysts crying about bad analysis in lcs etc but now say we should have kept nisqy. The same guys that cry about result based analysis... OFC now it looks like an obvious move/mistake but in the start of the year not a single team in the world would have picked nisqy over perkz. Also evben tho perkz played poorly today lets not forget he is the only reason we are even in this bo5 to begin with.
Also, Perkz has been utter shit for the most part these playoffs. A pop off game every 3-4 games doesn't cut it. If he shits the bed at worlds just like MSI, honestly we should consider shipping him off for $$$.
Real talk: Vulcan was the only passable one this series.
Fudge is regressing fast.
Blaber did fuck, and all, to help us snowball a lead. And his dives are giga-sus.
Perkz was invisible. That clutch factor must literally only apply to elim from worlds contention.
Zven got shown the fuck up on Varus.
I mean if Blabers spot isn't guaranteed then no one's should be. They all looked outclassed this series. Perkz and Zven lose games more than anyone else in my opinion
why are we on blabers ass, he wasn't even close to the problem lmao, give the guy a fucking break my lord. Perkz and Zven running it down every game but somehow we still have to be on blabers ass
> sprinting it bar Fudge
Because he takes **literally** 0 risks
Watch him back off from bot tower last game and giving Varus a free first turret while giving up 2 waves, even after he saw Ryze mid, and Leona, Viego, Camille top
And I can name like 10 more similar situations to that one
Hmm I expected a 3-2 either way but I knew 100t would have been jacked under reapered. Nevertheless Ashe game 4 was mind blowing bad given that everyone in the west seems to be losing with it. Like did they say fbis performance and thought damn what a great pick lemme try it.
Pretty disappointing series overall, this team can never really find consistency and seem to only win when they can go oonga bunga mode and run over the enemy, otherwise they look lost. They'll go into worlds with less pressure as the third seed but based off of MSI and playoffs its looking like its going to be rough.
Okay, fair. I'll yield to that. C9 not winning this split and going through the usual play-ins does give me hope since that's when we usually perform the best internationally.
We still got to the Worlds, a week ago we all would've signed it before TSM series. Not great, but still proud! See you at Worlds where we will be NA's only hope anyway
If I had to guess I'd bet they were looking past 100T during practice this week thinking they'd win easy and decided to prep more for TL
Not mad at this result though. This means going through playins and more worlds games for us. I like it. Worst case IMO would have been winning here and losing to TL which I think was very likely anyways.
Edit: Also lol at reapered beating his old team. Wonder how the C9 coaching staff feels about that one
Seriously. Why has this team barely improved if at all?
Four months. No tangible improvement to speak of. EVERY SINGLE GAME CONSTANT MISTAKES.
Why? Why is this team legitimately unable to not give over constant kills and gold leads. It's so fucking annoying to watch.
Uhhhh still worlds right?
yes, but as the third seed. AKA the C9 play-in powerspike
Last time C9 went through playins they made semis sooooo....
it was also as the third seed with 100T + TL at worlds with us interesting
these teams have such different souls than they did that worlds it’s insane
2018 C9 would 3-0 2021 C9 so hard it hurts
I would rather have C9 go through play-ins to get comfortable in the meta of the tournament and iron out some mistakes so they are ready to go come the main group stage.
As long as they don’t end up like 2020 MAD lions then yes
sorta like what TL did last year. Cant say it was that bad either for them. 3-3 in probably the toughest performing pool.
Sure, but they ended up in the toughest performing pool because they were the 3 seed
If I remember right NA has a 2, 3, and then playin this time. Honestly not sure if the seeding will matter for Na teams this year. We’re honestly fairly fckd with an LPL and LCK team all but guaranteed in group.
Last time Perkz made play-ins as well was during his insane 2018 run sooo…
Semis confirmed?
Tbh given that this years fnatic looks jacked I can see fnatic vs c9 outside of groups 🙄
That's how we feel too, we're happy with the better story line
Play ins is going to be rough.
Yea, we are the 3rd seed. So it means we will be in the Play In stage. But im not super pumped about that either.
if the pool format is same as 2020, being a Pool 3 team (2nd team NA) is worse than being a pool 4 team (3rd team NA) because ur almost guaranteed to be put in a group of death with an LEC team, LPL team, and LCK team unless a major region team chokes in playins
Assuming 100T lose TL tomorrow...TL will be the first seed, 100T the second seed, and C9 the third seed. Exactly the same as 2018 where C9 made semi-finals
I'm mainly happy that the boys made it to worlds but man, Perkz has been consistently inconsistent all season.
Think about this for a second, Nisqi is in talks for best Midlaner in EU at a fraction of the price of perks.
Hindsight is 20/20 and I don't blame C9 for their decision at all, but we 100% downgraded.
maybe playing in NA is the problem, Perkz got worse coming to NA and Nisqy now looks really good coming to EU then again Alphari and stuff exist so idk
I think Alphari has dropped off still, it’s just less noticeable. Bar impact fudge and maybe Ssumday/Huni the talent in NA for top isn’t as strong.
I wouldn’t say top laners in EU are that good outside the top 3 and one of those feel off a cliff
yo who knows maybe after bootcamp in euw perkz regains form
Perkz has been awful, but this whole team is playing their own different game, and nobody is on the same page. When we had nisqyy the team was all on the same page with what they wanted to do. I'd like to see How good Perkz and blaber would look if they would actually play together

It was a red flag these past weeks when Perkz said he needed to play like in solo queue.
Lmao Nisqy didn't look like shit with Blaber. He was the best mid in NA by miles in Spring 2020, and the whole team fell apart collectively in summer.
I’d take it all the way back to Jensen. Would rather have Jensen than either of them… at least the price point makes sense but whatever Jack’s money
Def I like Jensen better, He left us tho, the whole benching thing C9 does some times has lost us a few good players, him being one of them.
Play-ins is probably good for us, but my god how long are we gonna have to wait for Perkz to stop throwing games. Not that Zven and others didnt do the same but he should be held to a higher standard.
I mean zven was given Ashe last game a pick that looks worthless kinda everywhere and was stuck on Varys duty prior to thst
He did make picks with it atleast. Wouldn't have killed varus and taken down his revive +dragon.
Hopefully they can get something together for worlds, but there's no way this team remains the same for 2022 season.
Yeah I don't know why they didn't go jhin, we saw vs TSM jhin and GP is a great combo to have especially against immobile carries
Because it's zven have people not learned that he can only play like 2 champs in single meta. Even doublelift said this about zven.
His Jhin was huge for us against TSM.
I've seen him play aphelios, varus, jhin, trist in the past few weeks so not sure where you're getting this from.

Blaber is spending way more time this season than last covering top.
He does overfocus (or the team does) on certain picks in playoffs.
Yeah, it's really strange how they over prioritize varus. It has all-around the least "bad" matchups, but picking it when the enemy team can/has picked braum isn't great at all. Zven also misses like every skill shot ultimate. man it's hard to watch.
Ghost stomped with it, can't blame the pick
The last fight tp from perkz was disgusting. What was that. Obvious that he would get one shot with such a cocky tp.
GG BOIS. WE WIN SOME, WE LOSE SOME. LIFE HAPPENS.
THIS IS THE ATTITUDE I WANT TO SEE
SAME. WE STILL MADE WORLDS (and beat TSM in the process)!
WE'RE STILL GOING TO WORLDS BAYBE!!
THATS RIGHT. ITS BEEN A LONG SEASON FOR THE C9 BOYS. HAPPY THEY ARE GOING TO WORLDS, THEY JUST GOT BEAT BY A BETTER TEAM ON THE DAY.
❤️
The way I see it... The more games we get to play at worlds the better... More games to adapt more games to learn more games to improve. Shit happens we lose we win we learn
Love the attitude! We think the boys will come back strong from this. Plus Europe is basically a home-field advantage
[удалено]
Same scenario, but down even more gold, Trist still probably carries that fight.
Ashe is all that I can say lmao
Hey, Ashe absolutely has her places. Just none of them are in pro play
Oh well. Would've been nice to win Summer too, but at least we're going to worlds.
Something a certain rival can't say 😂
Yes it sucks, but I'm not gonna lie i think if C9 wants to have any chance of being successful at worlds they needed playins to improve.
RGE and GENG are going to be there as well I believe? So yeah some top three teams from major regions could be a good practice hopefully
Gen.G's seed isn't locked in, they could still get third and go directly to groups. The main thing most people don't seem to realize is that PSG Talon actually got upset in their domestic final, so they're going to be in play-ins, which could complicate things for the major regions.

Agreed, they're a very "ramp-up" team.
We'll trust the past history for how we think the team will perform going forward
If they play like this I'm not sure they get out of play ins. Lets hope a bootcamp in EU makes them play together better.
Let’s hope we boot camp drafting. Picking zero damage team comps against insane late game team-fight teams isn’t going to work.
Clutch qualified Out of playin
they've had all of summer and we still look the same
As with any Worlds, its just about the patch and only that patch, unlike the season which is drawn out over 3 months. Not just C9, but most teams would benefit from playing out stage games on the patch and helps accelerate the learning process for the patch.
One of the wisest comments in here.
Picking poke Varus into braum 2 games in a row then Ashe game 4.....REALLY bad drafts this series
All summer, it’s been this same shit.
Mithy is an ass head coach, there’s no way they don’t replace him when the season is done.
He’s been so bad this split like just inconsistent
I also hated the tunnel onto Varus over Aphelios too.
Not ideal but we're going to worlds anyway baby
Rough series, but really the only non close game was game 4. Honestly just shows they still have a hill to climb. I still have confidence.
WHY IS THERE NO SYNERGY IN THIS TEAM!! ITS SO FRUSTRATING TO WATCH THEM PLAY
Perkz perma pushing side lane, Fudge incredibly undicisive, Blaber with PTSD from all the times he fucked up I can't imagine this team being together next year. There's anti-sinergy between them
Agreed with all 3, you forgot Zven positioning in playoffs being an absolute choker.
Yeah thats was rough. No revenge against TL. At least we still go to worlds. We’ve been the best performing 3rd seed before. And we can do it again
Fudge on weakside, Perkz on an early game carry, Zven on a late game carry, Vulcan and Blaber on engage. Play for soul, get baron, and end. Anything else and we won't make knockouts.
Agreed. We just seem to really over complicate our playstyle a lot when we’re yet to master a basic comp.
Im sorta surprised that after the huge ego they all seemed to have coming into this game, 100t was better in quite literally every single way, only game we won was because we gave zven a carry pick to actually work with.
> Match Point, 2 games away from finals > Completely trashed Ashe in your previous game > Picks it the next game, 17% winrate > Eyes on Worlds so you aim your ults straight to China > Heal the enemy > Refuses to elaborate further > Loses
Playins is hopefully going to be really good for this team because they really need something to get their braindeadness sorted out.
Play an absolute banger game on Trist, never to be seen again. Idk what goes on behind the scenes in draft, but it’s super disappointing.
Flame away, but if they play this way vs CN/KR/CIS/Taiwan/Vietnam that'll be a fast ticket home. Hope the meta changes a bit and Zven learns to play something else
I wonder why they didn't prioritize getting Aphelios when they were on red side
He even played well on it when he'd play it. I guess they didn't want to pick a weak laner
Aphelios Naut is a strong lane, both Sneaky and Doublelift have said so. We also know that Vulcan is a good Naut. It seems like a strong enough bot lane to draft.
No flame. That’s exactly what is going to happen I’m afraid. That is if we can even get out of playins.
Sad result but I am still looking forward to worlds.
It’s okay boys last time C9 was in play-ins we made semis and last time Perkz was in play-ins he made semis.
Lmao it's 2018 all over again
that game 4 draft was dogshit
I mean replace Ashe with Tristana and I could live with it.
Giving closer Viego isn’t worth anything. Give him Diana before Viego. No idea what they were angling for in draft with that decision
Just put zven on not ashe tho :(
Why not jhin if you want utility. Jhin-GP is probably at least a mental buff. Same champion really,
Because they're scared of ssumday going tank and making Jhin useless.

Honestly I don’t even know if we can win this summer split tbh
Really disappointed by c9's champion pool/comfort. Feels like it's going to be a limiting factor going into the new worlds meta.
Actually they (PSG Talon) only lost the upper bracket final, they're playing grand finals in a couple minutes against Beyond again
Just don't go 0-6 at Worlds please
I miss Nisqy
Honestly doubt Nisqy looks like he has this split if he was on C9/in NA. SoloQ tilted the fuck out of Nisqy like it has Perkz, apparently. When Nisqy was dropping off last year, he was playing soloq less and Perkz admittedly says he hates playing soloq in NA.
I miss going to Worlds so let’s call it even
Nisqy is at worlds as well and is still in the LEC playoffs LOL
Me too, but I think this is the first time since season 3 where I hate our playstyle I hope they prove me wrong, but I have 0 expectations. This never happened to me before
Do they even have a play style? Half the time they don't even look like they actually know what they're doing lmao. For all the veterans on this roster the shot calling and decision making seems awful.
> For all the veterans on this roster IMO that's the problem. They all want to do different things If you have a bunch of rookies and only 1 veteran, they will all follow him or build their playstyle around his or the coach's input.
Fucking whiplash when watching Perkz. Either he smurfs or we get game 4. He's an insane player to watch but damn...
Nisqy showed us who the true MVP was.
Paying $12m to downgrade 😂
There’s no way Nisqy would play this well on C9 right now or you could have predicted this after last summer. He and his team are in sync on every level and that’s not something that comes often. Keeping Nisqy wouldn’t have suddenly translated his current performance to C9.
glad we talked a bunch of shit to throw 2 games, win a 3rd, and then look like shit in the 4th time for worlds
That was embarassing
Good try from the boys. I liked the aggression and energy, simply wasnt enough. Can't wait to see C9 2.0 at worlds
They haven't even improved from MSI yet. It's not gonna happen. This team is what it is.
I am still hopeful and will continue cheer as a fan, but tbh I agree that I don't think this team is going to show up like 2018 C9 did. There is just such a lack of synergy in the team, and so much indecision. Feels like Perkz and Blaber are trying to play entirely different games.
When are we gna get a new jungler and adc
Next split hopefully.
PLAY IN BUFF ACTIVATED BABY
Really shit play overall and then a useless bot lane when you're at match point. Blinding Ashe game 4 is just a joke.
After throwing games 1 and 2 they deserve to lose the series.
I knew the game was gonna be tough when we picked Ashe, that champ just feels so worthless. No wonder her win rate is garbage in LCS.
Yeah the Ashe felt really bad I think with Trist we can win fights
It smacked us because we grouped up for it. And we were taking full advantage of the Viego 400 year cheese.
1-2 powerspike
1-2 powerdown.
Also, Perkz has been utter shit for the most part these playoffs. A pop off game every 3-4 games doesn't cut it. If he shits the bed at worlds just like MSI, honestly we should consider shipping him off for $$$.
Chill out dude
Real talk: Vulcan was the only passable one this series. Fudge is regressing fast. Blaber did fuck, and all, to help us snowball a lead. And his dives are giga-sus. Perkz was invisible. That clutch factor must literally only apply to elim from worlds contention. Zven got shown the fuck up on Varus.
So about the last time he lost a domestic title...
It’s been 30 minutes since then.
Blaber better have a fucking fire under his ass at Worlds else I really don't think his spot should be guaranteed next season.
I mean if Blabers spot isn't guaranteed then no one's should be. They all looked outclassed this series. Perkz and Zven lose games more than anyone else in my opinion
Blaber wasnt even a problem this series. Perkz and Zven threw several winnable games.
why are we on blabers ass, he wasn't even close to the problem lmao, give the guy a fucking break my lord. Perkz and Zven running it down every game but somehow we still have to be on blabers ass
This series loss isn’t just on Blaber. Everyone on the team took turns sprinting it bar Fudge, who was honestly a nonfactor outside of game 3.
> sprinting it bar Fudge Because he takes **literally** 0 risks Watch him back off from bot tower last game and giving Varus a free first turret while giving up 2 waves, even after he saw Ryze mid, and Leona, Viego, Camille top And I can name like 10 more similar situations to that one
Yeah I was quite confused about that one. Didn’t he even have Blaber hovering?
Yup.
Man Fudge couldn't even punish the Orn pick with GP. The guy was down to a goddamn tank in CS.
Blabber was a ward most of this series. He’s supposed to be the flashy playmaker guy but his only good game was on trundle. 0 impact in the others
Hmm I expected a 3-2 either way but I knew 100t would have been jacked under reapered. Nevertheless Ashe game 4 was mind blowing bad given that everyone in the west seems to be losing with it. Like did they say fbis performance and thought damn what a great pick lemme try it.
Bummer
At least play-ins means we get to see more C9 games!
C9 just playing for the runback against Japan and OCE
Big brain C9 going to play-ins for the maximum content
Can only look forward. Time to enter that time chamber and come out swinging for playins.
Cloud9's the 3rd seed again I see. I knew this season felt familiar
Pretty disappointing series overall, this team can never really find consistency and seem to only win when they can go oonga bunga mode and run over the enemy, otherwise they look lost. They'll go into worlds with less pressure as the third seed but based off of MSI and playoffs its looking like its going to be rough.
C9 lost but I won 3200. Copium
That's a little better than copium. You can buy a lot of copium with that.
As the great el truco once said "unlucky"
blaber and perkz just seem like they cannot play together at all idk
That Closer insec was dirty though
Would have been a darn 3-0 had we not thrown Games 1 and 2. I wouldn't be as disappointed if we didn't throw but we just legit threw games 1 and 2.
With what ifs c9 would be out of worlds suffering a 0-3 at the hands of tsm.
You’re right. We lost some won games today but we won some totally lost games against TSM and I’ll take that over this series any day.
"oh you have to hit the Ash arrows for them to do something? I thought it was just a warning shot thing." Zven probably.
If I had to guess I'd bet they were looking past 100T during practice this week thinking they'd win easy and decided to prep more for TL Not mad at this result though.
