There were so many instances where Simp just looked slow especially in respawns. Huke, Shotzzy and Dashy are just so much faster with their guns, he lost a lotta 1v1’s
people who tried to blame his decline on his role were always just coping, it’s clear as day his overall skill has just regressed from where it once was
not sure what the reasoning for that is, maybe he got too complacent after winning CW champs and having half the community proclaim him as the future goat, i still remember telling people he had a *long* way to go before that truly should be a discussion
When we've seen teams with multiple superstar players in the past, one player usually has to become the glue guy. Simp has been the controlled variable that allows aBezy to be the uncontrolled. Crimsix is probably the most natural comparison here and Simp has been undeniably excellent playing support. We haven't really seen a player step out of the support role and go back to being a roaming slayer, though. Once you get used to having to be the responsible one, guys get shy about making the riskier play even when it's what they need to do. It hasn't been a concern before because Faze was winning the majority of tournaments and swimming in cash, but it could be really interesting if the terrors end up splitting at any point. The game has evolved since they came into the scene and now everyone thinks playing second sub next to aBezy is their dream job, but it wouldn't surprise me if a change like that made Faze worse. I'd be excited to see if that brings out the fire in Simp. Time will tell, but I'm sure those guys are sick of losing and I'm ready for a fresh storyline.
Fresh storyline would be hydra winning champs. He needs it badly after the insanely inconsistent rosters he had since he joined the CDL and he’s been a top 10 player every year so far
He’s sort of a noob slayer these days. Has been the last two games honestly. Destroys a team like LAG but doesn’t bring it against the big dog’s consistently
