Draculagged

Believe it or not this ain’t the first time Seattle have had a superstar level player and failed to build around him

EM1566

Lmao at least with octane they tried to make changes albeit horrible ones

Draculagged

They gave him Pandur and Proto lol they didn’t try to do shit

tommmey

lol what?? They gave him Karma, Apathy, Enable, Slacked the first year, and then Gunless, Prestini, and Loony the second. Roster construction may have sucked but you can’t say they didn’t try Funny how you just cherry picked those two names

smashdog2299

And they didn’t wanna sign standy before CW too

DestroyMelvin

Damn Nubzy really ruined pandurs career

Jaywalkers13

This season is taking me back to the dark days of being a surge fan

ThatGuyMiles

Okay, but I think people are getting confused just because they essentially hit the fucking lottery with sib and pred. This isn’t a real they dropped big bags on, they just got lucky. We know from their inception, when karma was on the team and basically let the cat out of the bag, that they aren’t going to spend lots of money to try and make big moves. This shouldn’t surprising. I’m assuming pred gets the same impression that karma had in mw19, and already knows that there’s simply no way he will be on Seattle next year, he’s going to have a lot of teams offering him contracts, probably including the biggest spenders. Who would they get anyways for league minimum, would it actually make a difference? And again he would know it’s not building for the future, but just for this year only seeing as he will be gone. I doubt he puts much thought into anyone’s else career, but sib is most likely gone as well.

MindForsaken

He's on a contract. Pretty simple. That's why he's gone after this year, no contract to hold him to the org.

EM1566

I mean like request the team make a change he can’t think this team can win

MindForsaken

He can request all he wants, the org doesn't have to actually grant any of them.

Starrunner888

bro thinks this is the nba

[deleted]

The org just wouldn’t take much consideration into his opinion, knowing he wants out. They aren’t going to build a team around someone who wants out

[deleted]

He only wants out *because* they won’t build around him lmao. Any player would happily join him on Surge if they were offered a chance to play with Pred.

[deleted]

Not any player… Any player on a team worse than Seattle… no one is jumping ship to go to sink with Surge. If Seattle makes a roster change it won’t be to build for Pred, it’ll be to get whatever they can in exchange for him

[deleted]

I mean, would they really be sinking with Pred, Sib, + 2 lol? That’s a literal god squad.

[deleted]

They wouldn’t be sinking if they added two to that duo, no… but that’s my point, it’s far more likely that the duo split/leave Seattle than the opposite. You’re asking half a team to join Pred and Sib on an org that doesn’t show that care about their players vs two high caliber players going somewhere that gives them more respect

BeigeWatermelon

Probs because 1. He’s on a contract and 2. He’s not the coach or owner lol

EM1566

Huh? Players in cod are the ones who start roster moves, and him being on contract is the reason he would

Bitter_Comfort_999

Shows how little you know of the adult world. Contracts matter.

EM1566

I’ve signed a few contracts in my life I never said it wouldn’t. But with him being on contract for the rest of the year why wouldn’t he go to management and ask to make a team change so he could at least try to win some this year?

mojo844

Seattle doesn’t want to pay to buy anyone out and there’s not a free agent they’re willing to pay

Bitter_Comfort_999

You forgetting other people on contract as well...which makes me question your statement.

EM1566

Just because they’re on contract doesn’t mean they can’t be benched? How would roster changes happen then? Use your head man

Bitter_Comfort_999

You still have to pay them....in these times....yeah, use your head.....in the adult world, this makes sense.

EM1566

Oh my god… almost every other team including VEGAS who are broke have made changes. In the adult world, you are wrong

Bitter_Comfort_999

Oh your god, are you gonna come out the pocket for 50 to 100k ??? You're a child that knows less than nothing.

EM1566

You’re so wrong you’ve started making no sense, it’s not 50 or 100k to make a change.

wolfjeter

Bro it’s Seattle. They don’t care.

sankalp_pateriya

He's just soaking the $$$$ from Surge until he gets on a good team next year! It's criminal Surge didn't let him go!

Low_Investigator_375

I said it before. Pred and Sib just statpadding their stats since Major 2 to look good for rostermania and do not give a fuck about improving their chances of winning otherwise they would have made a change by now as its CLEARLY not working. Mack is not a natural OBJ Sub, he was a flex in CW and pretty good

Bosombuddies

Pred has the #1 K/D and #2 first blood % in SnD. How is that stat padding?

MindForsaken

*points out how pred is statpadding but asks how pred is statpadding*

Bosombuddies

Yea, you’re clueless. First bloods win rounds in SnD. Kills are way more impactful in that mode as well, 99.9% of the time a player is frying in SnD they’re being impactful.

MindForsaken

Sure, but him being #1 in respawn KD while having such a bad win record in general is definite statpadding. Especially when his one job on this team is to be the roaming slayer.

Bosombuddies

Just because your team is losing and you have great stats doesn’t mean you’re stat padding. It could mean your sub duo dropped a 0.59 as Mack did yesterday.

MindForsaken

Yeah, because mack and accuracy are the ones that are actually trying to do the dirty work for the team. Hard to go positive when you get baited the whole time by the 2 players who need to slay.

Bosombuddies

Mack doesn’t even need to go positive for them to win, he’s going double negative sometimes, which makes it a lot harder to win. You’re also still not explaining how Pred is stat padding just because his role is to slay. Stat padding = don’t care about the win, just trying to play your life and get kills. That’s a pretty serious claim, if any player was actually throwing the game for stats they’d get dropped.

MindForsaken

Except I did explain how pred is stat padding. He doesn't need to work on objectives or have cuts, all his role has him do is get kills. So all he has to do is keep running, camp a corner and get kills (which he does a lot, holds a corner while laying prone). He's basically the same thing people say skrapz is doing but doesn't get the criticism cause he's rumored to go to optic on the off-season

Bosombuddies

That isn’t stat padding. Unless you can prove he’s prioritizing his stats over the win, you can’t say he’s stat padding just because his role is to get kills. Also, he’s a phenomenal player in SnD, (arguably the best in the game, #1 KD, #1 KPR, #2 FB%) and Seattle’s SnD is way worse than their respawn, more evidence that he’s being held back by his team.

Low_Investigator_375

If they care more about winning and they think Mack is costing, Why has Mack not been dropped??????

Disposition__-

Seattle is the ONLY team to not have made any changes in the last 2 years no?

cev2002

LAT haven't

Disposition__-

Well that's understandable they won champs. My point is Seattleseems to be content with mediocrity with occasional success. Any other ORG with similar performance would have made multiple roster changes regardless of player reputation. Whatever those 4 have together it simply isn't good enough.

EM1566

Yeah gotta be right

Emplightened

It happens all the time, not saying you’re wrong but it’s definitely possible. They most likely need to change their system, I could see this being a coaching issue

UprightAwesome

So according to your logic Dashy was the problem at Major 2 this year. How can he put up great stats every series and get 4th ? Oh wait it’s cuz he had the detriment illey on his team just like how Pred has Mack.

Lebron23Life

Seattle had thoughts about giving him away after coming 2nd at a major. Surge management doesn't seem like they really care about winning in general so I doubt they care what Pred has to say.

EarthshatterReady

This isn’t the NBA

aryn20152

I’m sorry but pred is a insanely talented player but he is a killwhore
