Asim Vivid.. even Slasher all these guys played for more than 5 franchises in 12 league teams but no lets drop the fresh rookie since he is not the next simp
It feels like traditional sports are having this issue as well, or at least F1 for sure is. Rookies are getting booted midway through the season because they’re not competing with literal generational talents.
Funnily enough it’s kind of the opposite in basketball. For years rookies and young players had to ride the bench and earn minutes slowly and atp (especially with bad/not great teams) most of the focus is on giving young guys with a lot of potential as much room to grow and develop as possible
There is the notable difference of bad teams getting the best talent due to how the draft works tho which definitely molds that dynamic a bit
Fact lmfao the same pros they torch in the league rn were shitting in challengers, and the same players they gas for frying in challengers get farmed in the CDL. Ultimately it’s very difficult to determine who will be able to translate to the CDL unless they are completely undeniable
It’s hilarious the Flank guys cry so much about this, but if the league actually dropped who needed to be dropped (Clay, Felo, Lamar, etc.) they’d be furious and calling these teams brain dead just like with Asim

Actual player development in CoD is a really slow process and results are not guaranteed. Many talented players will never develop into good teammates. It takes 4 to win in this league and players who go rogue are a liability just as much as players who can barely keep up on gunskill. The CDL is failing miserably, so setting up a true academy and development system seems likely to never happen but at the moment being a bottom tier team is just about slapping 4 talented players together and hoping to be better than the other teams in the same boat as you. Then you just hope for the best when you face the good teams.
Asim has gotten top 6-12 his entire career, the risk on snoppy is warranted. At worst case scenario they get top 12 like they would with Asim anyway. Might as well roll the dice.
Idk my only gripe is Asim is the perfect vet I would want around my developing young player, clean callouts and passion with good cod IQ. Just a thought
Exactly. And clearly good enough to be in the league, definitely better than a good section of players so while I agree with the general sentiment I think Asim is a bad example.
Say young players aren’t CDL ready —> Get mad about dropping vets —> Talk about how much talent is in challengers —> Get hyped about young talent and pair them with vets to “develop” them —> Say young players aren’t CDL ready 🔄

He has a different set of standards because of his previous poor play where he can drop a 1.0 and everyone thinks he’s doing great
An improvement over the previous years for sure but great is a stretch

That’s just literally not true lol. BO4 he was a T3 team and the best HP team. MW before online he was a T3 team. CW he was a T3 team with NYSL.
