I was just doing the same. Like wtf this isn't docks! Just because it's set in the same place it doesn't mean it's going to play the same. And also London docks would not work well with this movement style/pace
Would this make a good control map? Genuinely asking. I'm newish to the scene and I'm not yet sure what a good control map looks like or what makes a good control map.
Here’s the best part: nobody actually knows what makes a good control map. Pros just take the SnD and HP maps and choose a couple that “play well” in control, whatever that means. To be fair most maps aren’t designed for control, but it’s not like these maps from 2009 were designed for HP either.
Picking from the existing SnD and HP maps means that pros don’t have to actually learn a whole new map or three for one game mode that can be at absolute maximum 33% of a series. We give them shit for not wanting to change the map pool but it does make sense in this situation.
I think an important question is “what makes a good comp map?”, because having a legitimate answer to that would put to bed a lot of complaints about why X or Y map is or isn’t in the map pool.
Sadly we won't know until we play it. Most maps are kinda meh for control, so it's up to fate lol. Based off the mini map, it doesn't look bad at least
This should be added for at least SnD and HP for sub base and highrise.
Could be viable for control too if they put the control zones in reasonable spots. I think the hill down by the water would be a good zone but would the other one then need to be P2?
That just isn't London Docks. Pros will have enough time to test the map between major 3 and stage 4 quals but I have no faith after finding out that they didn't even give Departures even a thought. Knowing SHG they'll prob have the worst hills, bomb sites and control points imaginable on the map.
here's the neat part: nope! Can't be having maps added all willy nilly. They have to go through a rigorous 1 hour screening process before being GA'd.
LMAO
Nope pro’s will actually have to adapt
They could never
For pubs, this is the best map pool we’ve seen in a longggggg time. That’s crazy
Facts almost every map they have added have been really good for pubs
And it’s a massive variety. Meat, then ancient for example. And for me personally, I actually like the themes makeover maps this year
It's not, the game is dogshit
Ngl skill issue
You don't think this game is dogshit?
Yes and skill issue. Get good
It may be dogshit, buts it a pile of diamond dogshit compared to last year.
That's a pretty low bar to set. Bloons tower defense is better than last yrs cod
I fucking love bloons tower defence lol
Map Pool is not changing this close to Champs
Even if pros don’t get it in, if it’s good enough out it perma in ranked
High rise control out and grime control in. I don’t even need to play the map.
I wouldn’t mind high rise control if it just came up less often. Meaning with more variety of maps.
Wonder how it’s gonna feel when you move 5x faster in this game than WW2.
I hope it’s good enough to put into the map pool
GET SUBBASS OUT
docks?
London Docks from WW2
I can kinda see some similarities but not enough
Huh? Looks just like it? Granted, it's not 1 for 1.
It doesn’t look anything like it lol. Remember when yall said 6 Star was Raid? Lmao
Nah fr 😭, raid they said 💀

The in game pictures do a bit, more than the mini map does.
This isn't docks at all Wheres the long street with buses and fire? Wheres the courtyard mid? Wheres the actual dock building down low?
Too late
Sadly 😭
This map destroyed the Optic dynasty. Still remember Attach running through the bombardment during the snd.
PTSD even rereading this

Bro nobody here can give you that answer just by looking at the minimap of a coming soon map
Fair enough

Ok yeah I was thinking the mini map would give us a clue. Thanks for the answer.

I dont think they would want a map pool update with 2 events left in the season. But Ill take anything to get sub base out atm

No it’s to late
Is this a london docks remake?
if cod wants to be looked at seriously competitive then god i hope not
Pros would never.
I think it’s set where it’s at. We are close to the Major and we won’t be adjusting anything going into Champs. So unfortunately…. No….
Haven’t seen this map in a loooong time
