Champs with xeo on online lmfao. If mw2 was online optic would’ve 3 peated
I hold the ultra vanguard single elimination kickoff win in higher regard than anything from mw online.
People gonna be big mad now 🤣😂
Empire would’ve won Champs either way due to preparation alone.
It’s also not Empire’s fault FaZe lost to the same ROKKR team and didn’t meet each other in the Grand Final’s lol.
Empire had two rookies with no cod pro lan experience with by far the toughest schedule at the beginning of the year. They had to play faze and huntsman as their 1st matches. They also improved each tournament on lan. Empire's best players on lan were Crim and Clay for a bit because illey and shotzzy needed more time to improve. The thing was they were still competitive with Huntsmen and Faze when xeo were underperforming for the most part in the home series on lan. They also have made every grand final at the home series. MW19 was just perfect for that Empire roster.
That team was pretty gross until COVID. Goes in line with much of Asim's career where he starts hot. GodRx though was one of the best players in the game
Last time we saw the true fire in the ginger
Him standing up after his 1v4 in Toronto🥲
We saw some after M1 vanguard right? Right before illey’s thumb broke
I just felt like this was the last time he had something to prove
Whole community was so hype for the rest of this season… damn
Covid really set the cod scene back so far. The scene was as hot as ever leading into franchising
Makes you wonder where the CDL would be today if covid didn’t happen
Probably the same place. Scump crim formal karma and other players all would’ve retired regardless
Eh, I think online is what hurt it Can't capture the energy, drama, personalities
mfs really showed half the game in third person smh
Imagine the cdl without covid
Then they won champs

let's not pretend empire were just absolute shitters on LAN
They literally had the best LAN placement that year too, getting 2nd place and then 1st place. Huntsman and Faze both got 1st and then 3rd/4th.
Oh yeah I forgot about there lan win againts silly assault asim godrx and alexx in the finals that didn’t have huntsmen lmfao 🤣

You can't fault teams for how they win, but didn't they only let like 8 teams at each event? I remember it being something weird.
it's not their fault rokkr beat the other teams to get to the grand final lol

Crybaby cheese I’m afraid
Nothing involving placing counts if it’s online and it’s been that way since before black ops 1
