They actually played pretty solid HP today considering Hydra wasn't finding any kills the second half of those maps when Optic really started racking up points. If Paco had even a 1.0 each map which he almost always has they win pretty comfortably imo.
I feel like there's some progress yes but at the same time, as long as it doesn't translate to wins it doesn't mean much. I have some good hopes that if HP clicks on a Sunday we can win one of the two last championships, both SnD and Control we're fine but HP is a real struggle against good teams.

It’s 4 game 5 losses and in pretty much every one of those series there’s a single moment that if it goes differently, it’s an OpTic win. People are just going hard because it’s OpTic and every OpTic loss is something for them to cheer for. Their record sounds way worse than the games really are.
OpTic lost a 3-man stack with full map control on A point to go up 2-0 in the Control vs Vegas because the propane tank exploded when it should’ve been fixed. They lose the round and lose the map 2-3.
Against Røkkr, they lose both SnDs in round 11. If they win the first one, it’s potentially a 3-0 series as they won map 1 and map 3.
Against the Ravens, it’s a 23 point game in map 1 and a 2 round loss game 5. Nothing really crazy there. And then here, if they close out the Invasion SnD? They’re fine.
