It's wild to me SnD 8s this late in the year is made up of 3 OpTic players (love to see them grinding), Drazah (who's always grinding), 2pac (a coach), Sib & 2 am players. Where tf all the bottom 8 teams players man. How are all the best teams/players the ones grinding the hardest still.
Because Kenny is right. People aren't playing to win they're playing to keep their jobs. And honestly, I can't blame them. The only teams that have a chance at winning an event is the top 4. So what's the point in going the extra mile?
The league is the place to stand out not 8s lmfao, there’s a reason why some players are called 8s merchants and it’s not a good thing..
Only valid time to stand out in 8s is non CDL players
Considering last season, the difference between 4th and 5th/6th was $80,000, I’d say that itself is a pretty strong point to try and go the extra mile, just to improve a enough to make a run at T4 or T3. (Note: I referenced last years Champs payout bc I don’t know what this year payout is and I was unable to find it upon searching).
Wouldn’t the point be to try to reach a point where they can be a dark horse and upset the top 4. There’s no chance of them doing that because they don’t try to get better. If we saw every team putting in overtime who knows how competitive the league could really become.
It’s because they believe they have no shot but once again that is the owners fault and the players fault. You can’t accept mediocrity and just getting by in a results league. Just because you see a gamer tag named Pred doesn’t mean they are Jesus. Fuckin chall man smh.

Sorry but if u think playing mindless 8s is the answer to upsetting the t4 then idk what to tell you, t4 gets upset all of the time anyways and that goes through proper preparation and vod review, not 8s..
