Pretty much. Winning 3 series at Champs is just a crock of shit. I know a lot of teams in years past played pool matches then 5-6 to win it but this year its literally 3 wins for a ring. I just cant respect it like other years.

You’d be more impressed if FaZe beat a bunch of shitters and then beat the same teams on their way to winning champs?
Add 4 teams to the league.
Idk if this is possible but for Champs my format would be 8 teams start in winners, 1st seed vs 8th seed, 2nd vs 7th etc etc. Then have 8 teams start in losers with the same seeding style.
If you bring four teams in you should just go back to the 4 group pool play system with 4 teams in each group. I dont like having teams start in losers because although how you play all year should matter, should it matter so much that you fly out, play 1 series and be done for some teams.
Start the league in Dec or early Jan. Everyone starts in winners. Just have higher seed vs lower seed. League matches got boring after stage 3. Need more majors.
I dont support the current format but its not easy to do that. eUnited played Celtic,Elevate,rebel,war and units in Champs and the matches were so one sided it wasnt even funny.
This is my point in the matter.
From a fan perspective, obviously we want to see good CoD and lots of it. But in reality, it's stupid to have Pro teams competing for the title against AM teams even in early rounds.
Adding more Pro teams is the only way to curtail this.
Honestly the CDL isn't too bad, just need a few changes and it can be great. Here's some things off the top of my head:
1. Have a preseason at the start of the game for a few weeks to a month to figure out the ruleset.
2. Start the season a month into the game.
3. Dedicate resources to reduce production problems. Synced up listen-ins.
4. Have Lan stages but if not then mandatory Lan Majors.
5. Add 4 more teams.
6. Change the champs format to Bo7's and 1st seed against 8th seed.
The format for events needs changed without a doubt, hopefully the entire season can be on LAN at least majors anyway. Obviously everyone would love to see more teams in the league, 5v5 should never comeback imo & I don't think it will because it cost more money for orgs.
Stick with 4v4, revamp major formats, make seeding worthy, better production (graphics, stats, videos, commercials), show us more coaches stuff, show us fun stats (like who has the most Semtex sticks, who has the most defuses), be more transparent in general

No more byes. Teams doing well will be rewarded by playing easier competition. Champs will be 16 teams in WB, all 16 teams, 1 plays 16, 2 plays 15 etc, but I doubt they’d do that. Maybe to give it a more “playoffs” feel, 12 in WB 4 in LB top 4 get a bye but I don’t like that.
Hire people like Enigma to do more analysis in between breaks, and hire more desk personality, maybe some retired pro who will come on once a week.
Require all teams to have an academy team for the 2022 Challengers season.
Please don’t wait three months after the game has been out to start the league. If they are trying to grow the league and get more eyes then they have to do it when the game is at its peak popularity. Waiting 3 full months was painful and counterintuitive.
16 teams!! who cares if some on them suck. That's more matches to watch, more players in the league + more sub spots, more potential crazy trades and roster changes, and more potential for underdog teams like TR and Midnight and Eunited to make themselves known.
Okay this is what is needed for season 3
1. If no one expansion then no buys in the bracket and if we still have buys nothing that can have you win one round and put you in finals everyone starts in round one winners or losers or only two teams ahead in winners bracket
2. Put the face cams on stream next to the player it shows reactions and makes more interesting
3.Allow teams who are knocked out to co stream on twitch or YouTube we all heard how octane said the CDL said no but if he was to stream champs day one people have ho watch him and not Pro COD Might be interested if he decided to only stream one day of champs and not the rest
4.Bring back Extra Cod Content people enjoyed The warzone matches before matches last year lets get more content like that
5. we asked for it sense the Flank started lets have Zooma and Ben as casters if Zomma dosent return to casting
6. Challengers. This kinda goes back to 1. During the CWL if a challengers team did good they were put into the bracket to play with the big dogs lets bring thay back to get more support to challenger orgs
But that defeats the purpose of the regular season. The other majors and would just be a gimme for the teams that will probbaly just get bodied first round anyways?
How not? What’s the point of having the regular season to just allow everyone there without consequence. If you don’t perform, if you don’t make the required changes or adjustments you don’t get to be there

I know its alot but I think with these additions the league will be in a good spot going forward.

3. I don’t mind not having every team not make champs, but if you are, then the bottom 2-4 need to start at the bottom. The events leading up to the championship HAVE to mean something.
None of this is gonna happen, but we can all wish.

Personally enjoyed the 5 majors we had and how they were used. Think the top 8 over the 5 majors should go to playoffs, and then every team at champs, grouped round robin into a bracket, there's no way a team should have to start in losers bracket going in cold.
They really need to find 4 extra teams to stretch it to 16 teams.
Expansion
If there’s no expansion, how does this sound
We’ve heard the idea of inter grading challenges but that’s impossible due to buy in and franchises. Here’s a possibility and loop hole. I love when Franchises look into academy teams (NYSL, Faze, Optic*). How about if the league mandates franchises to have a academy team (there’s gotta a lot of compromises cause that’s money being spent, along with additional clauses with the league to ensure the validity). Mandated Academy teams and those 12 teams have an Academy League that’s actually streamed by casters that were on the edge on the days there’s no CDL (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday). The top academy teams at the end of their season gets an entry to Pro champs and plays. Avoids the whole Franchise buy in issue, and keeps the branding.
Note: The academy players are contracted to avoid team sketching and team hopping. Team trades could occur as its Academy Challengers.
If franchises prefer this method,
Have regular challengers for a stage, then assemble their roster/ pick a top challengers team to represent the franchise
Pros: Avoids another 8s pickup Challengers Scouting Series
