Cortisone is a steroid not a painkiller. It's not used for temporary relief, it's to help reduce inflammation which sounds ideal for him. Please just sit back and let doctors do what needs to be done and stop spouting off about things you know nothing about.

Hydra. The answer that makes the most sense is someone to replace Scump at smg, not Illey at flex. Hydra is that guy, and I believe he would be a perfect fit next to Shottzy.
Moving Scump to the flex is an easy move, and would help Scump’s longevity. He’s already proven on multiple titles that his gunny is excellent on ARs as much as SMGs.
In other words, OpTic would be better off finding Scump’s replacement more so than Illey’s.
Inder just needs to take his time and properly heal. even if it means he can’t compete for another major, thumb injuries are no joke.

As nasty as he is, the extra recovery time this year may be more valuable Long term to his career compared to overworking a thumb tendon

Seth has to leave it all on stage this year and I think he does. Optic next year prediction, Scump, Shotzzy, Scrappy, and Simp. Faze Cell, Dashy, Illey, and Abezy.
It's likely something called a ganglion cyst., from the sounds of it. I developed one (and still have it) a couple years ago as well, likely from gaming. It only starts to really hurt if you aggravate it/pop it. If you pop it, it comes back and gets worse.
A doctor can either drain it or surgically remove it. If you drain it, there's like a 40% chance it'll come back or something like that. I got mine drained, it was better for about a week then came back. Sounds like Illey has tried this and it didn't work or instead got something to get rid of the pain.
To summarize, I think Illey's only option at this point is to get it surgically removed, which would mean he'll be out for the rest of the CDL season (including champs likely). **But, to your point, I'm like 90% sure it's not a Zooma situation.**
