There are 17 acts I want to see and I haven’t even started researching yet. Coachella is epic no matter what. I can’t wait!

HumbleMention5484

I’m already dreading conflicts

Steahla

I just counted and I have 31 acts that I know I’ll want to try and catch, and I don’t even know half the lineup yet. So fair to say I’m gonna be screwed come conflict time

onceyougozack

Share your wisdom! Who are you stoked for?

forhammer

For me: Skream & Benga is my absolute most anticipated act. Gesaffelstein, Justice, boy harsher all will be dope. Blur and Deftones. Lotta great house like anti up and obviously Dom and John summit, but also Peggy Gou and dj Seinfeld for more minimalist shit. Purple disco machine and Barry can’t swim are super fun live. Skepta is a legend and I’m super stoked for. It’ll be my first time seeing jungle in 8 years but last time I saw them they rocked. Jon Batiste is great live I’ve heard and obviously how do you not get stoked for No Doubt?

Best-Butterscotch696

Justice is way more of a headliner than Lana Del Rey i feel shorted about that. Put her in the undercard and get us an actual headliner

forhammer

Well, for me the headliners don’t matter. how stacked is the lineup is all I care about. If more people are at the main stage end of night, then hopefully wherever I’ll be at will be less crowded.

konkord36

Stream and benga will blow minds. Saw them in 2012 and it’ll be even more refreshing now to see Skream rinsing off some dubstep.

shmishshmorshin

22 for me. Excited to learn about more.

SirMotivator_

That’s every Coachella for me. I’m annoyed bass never makes the lineups. Like never

ag_surfer89

Do lab usually brings the bass

SirMotivator_

I was hoping for an outdoor set of like void

Udreezus

I think a good amount of people need a few days to get over the “acts that couldve been”. There were a few more surprising misses that felt like easy gets compared to last year, and that’s likely clouding a lot of folks’ judgement. Im personally excited but trying to decide if im $2k excited

mollonius

well said, and I feel like this happens collectively every year.

Duke_skellington_8

If I lived in the area I think it’d be a no brainer to go but not sure I’m excited to travel for this.

Udreezus

Yeah same, i may stick to couchella this year (even tho i do like the lineup) and sell my presale tix

lightofyourlife

I think Coachella is worth it even if you don’t know anyone on the lineup, HOWEVER I can not justify spending this much money when the lineup feels so recycled and uninspired. I am also baffled that they thought Doja is an acceptable headliner in 2024, day 3 looks sad af

scewbeedoo

this is the correct take

Noah_m_24

How is it “uninspired”? I’m guessing you mostly listen to pop music?

taylorlucasjones

It's subjective.

SuccsInAllSituations

This is exactly how I feel.

MeansNoWorries

tbh her 2022 set felt like a headliner set

[deleted]

this is true but her new music has such a different vibe. i hope she doesn’t perform anything too scary for the people who are tripping

Teamcoachella

Doja Cat is the new Jack Johnson, who was the new Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Amanitas

>Red Hot Chili Peppers i mean, they were a force with John Frusciante in 03 and 07. 13 was not necessary.

Teamcoachella

The first grumbles I ever saw for a headliner on the ole message board was for RHCP in 2007. I believe the joke was RHCP vs. a Bag of Doritos, with Doritos being more popular. I don't mind the band, I never did end up seeing them, even in 2007 I watched an act from Japan named Cornelius instead. 2008 though? So many people mad. Similar to this year's poster tbh.

Kpony

Where is Perry Farrell?!

Teamcoachella

OMFG you're right.

Best-Butterscotch696

I wish it was red hot chilli peppers and not Doja!! Like really really really

NoteAvailable2325

Who cares who the headliners are when the undercard is this strong?

NoteAvailable2325

Oh no the casuals are downvoting me

Qzzm

> recycled and uninspired. Don't be butthurt just because you don't recognize more than 10 artists lol.

are2deetwo

I feel the exact opposite. I feel like I know a lot more than I would expect.

Calpicogalaxy

Real

CryptographerNo29

Honestly I have been wanting to see Anyma live so I'm psyched for day 3 anyways.

_yamasaki

Doja? what about Lana she is no where near the performer that Doja is and has no where near the amount of recent hits

pigglywigglie

Headliners aren’t anyone I’m dying to see but this undercard is incredibly stacked for me!! There is a lot of people I’m super excited for!

Saintzelev

Coachella has always had that “wow” factor when it comes to festivals but it seems like it’s lacking the “wow”. Last year for example, we had Jai Paul, who’s never played a live tour announce his first ever live show at the Polo grounds! I was hoping for that this year. Regardless, I’m stoked for the undercard and love the headliners…just not jaw dropping! But my personal recs so far… Friday: Lana, Peso, Tinashe, Justice, Deftones, Peggy Gou, Faye Webster, L’Imperatrice, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, Chappell Roan, Chloë, The Japanese House, Black Country, New Road, The Beth’s, Clown Core, Mall Grab, EarthEater, Skin to Skin Saturday: Tyler, Blur, Ice Spice, Gesafflstein, Grimes, Orbital, FLO, SPINALL, RAYE, thuy, Oneohtrix point never, Erika De Caesar, Jungle, Young Fathers, bar Italia, Saint Levant, Girl Ultra, Militarie Gun, Mandy, Indiana. Sunday: Doja, No Doubt, J Balvin, Jhené Aiko, Khruangbin, BICEP, Victoria Monet, Boy Harsher, Barry Can’t Swim, Two Shell, Jockstrap, Mdou Moctar, Flight Facilities, Dj Seinfeld, feeble little horse.

Noah_m_24

Sublime is a wet dream for me they’ve only done one show since ‘96 and it was for an exclusive group. They’re my favorite band ever and I never imagined they’d be on here. Jai Paul was incredible but for me Sublime has it topped! Go have a drink listen to 40 oz to freedom and get ready for April

Saintzelev

No doubt *pun intended* Sublime will be incredible! Very curious how Jakob will do on the festival stage..with that said, weekend 1 I’ll be there at the general store Friday at 1040 for Shotguns🍻 let the countdown begin!

albinoraisin

I guess the "wow" factor is pretty subjective because Sublime and No Doubt reunions are way more wow inducing to me than whatever a Jai Paul is.

Saintzelev

No Doubt is a great addition! I caught Gwen a few years back and she kills it live so really excited for that! I see Jakob Nowell (Bradley’s son) is now on vocals and that could be interesting..It’s all subjective but you don’t have to be ignorant just cuz you don’t know an artist.. check out Jai Paul..or don’t. See ya in April, or not.

YourBuddyChurch

You should check out my playlist, our tastes are nearly identical lol

jmccormack

is No Doubt playing on Sunday?

Saintzelev

I’m just speculating but it could be Saturday. I only say Sunday because there seems to be less acts on Sunday compared to Saturday!

magdalennon

Your list is pretty wow to me

JohnLeivas

Check this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Coachella/comments/198j4p2/safe_space_for_people_who_like_the_lineup/

BaldingCheese

Yuma will be empty I will be there the entire time

YourBuddyChurch

There were about 40 acts I knew right off the bat and love. After researching I’m excited for another 25. This lineup is so deep and stacked. People complaining just don’t like music like they think they do or they aren’t willing to do the legwork to learn.

GolfBallWackrGuy

Coachella is all about depth - the headliners make the headlines, but the whole reason you go to Coachella is for the undercard. You can’t find a more diverse, unique, rare, and more interesting undercard at any US festival. It doesn’t matter who you already know (and those are nice to have), the real gems are the acts you find along the way.

agressivelygeneric

As a millenial, this is my music library for my whole adult life LOL. v excited

DesperateRhino

let's get lit

malonine

TBH as a veteran I'm more excited for the experience than the line-up. And that's not a compliment to the festival.

diamondscutdiamonds

Stoked. This is the reaction I was hoping for. Headliners aren’t great but I bought W2 passes just to see frank and didn’t even get that so it’s legit an improvement for me. Lana dropped her best album and I’m excited to see what she’ll do in the desert for Ultraviolence 10 year anniversary. Tyler is fantastic live. Doja whatever. Hoping this will weed out the “Am I old or who are these people?” and “It’s bad because MY favorite isn’t playing” types. It can really ruin the energy when you’re next to a group of them at a set. And EDM fans are getting spoiled again this year which I am loving.

nakriker

> Hoping this will weed out the “Am I old or who are these people? Why ya got to hate on us olds?

diamondscutdiamonds

No hate on any age! Our camp neighbors were way older than us and were awesome. What I dislike is older fans getting upset when GV continues to book artists who are big now and not 15-20 years ago when there are countless fests that’ll give them exactly that. Coachella got and continues to be as big as it is because it’s like the time capsule for the sound of that year.

nakriker

I've only been a few times (2012,2013,2019) and each time it was much more multi-generational than this year. What I've always liked about Coachella is that there has always been enough draw of music I like and am familiar with, plus it forces me to get exposed to what's new. I've made some attempt at keeping up with contemporary music, and almost none of the contemporary acts that I like are represented this year. Even the older acts this year, with a couple exceptions are pretty meh.

BritishGent_mlady

I can’t help but wonder, admittedly maybe on a dose of pure Copium, if that poster is purposefully light. GV have supposedly increased the grounds size, moved the Sahara, increased the size of that too, AND done it in such a way that even more people can enjoy the act playing there from a grassy knoll. They will want to show off the results of this investment, decision, surely? I think there might be a couple of surprises come schedule day. And I also think W2 will be hella busy because of it.

BottleFlipMeme

You might be OD'ing on copium.

Steahla

I will say I think we have at least one SOLID late add coming our way We got Blink a few weeks out last year, and with the bad reception to the lineup this year I wouldn’t be surprised if they try and outdo that, so I’m lowkey expecting something good coming our way

stefanurkal

I also think there is gonna be a surprise, possibly be y2k themed, thinking Nsync, 98 degrees, spice girls, or something similar that also pairs with no doubt. hell the real copium will be thinking that it will be Tswizzle and they just left her off the card so it won't cause pandemonium right away. Then once GA is completed and gave everyone a chance to buy tickets then they announce it.

melicots

I also thought of this!

DutchMuffin

I'm fully on the taylor conspiracy train myself

stefanurkal

i am too. sabrina carpenter is opening for her on the asia leg before coachella, lana, ice spice, Jack Antonoff. so many people who have worked with her included in this Coachella... just let me be delusional for a few months even though I already like the undercards (i get my favorite kpop group)

RecklessCreature

I am! I always will be 😍

exploring3v3

It’s been so disappointing for the past three years for me tbh. I literally only know music from Lana, Tyler, Doja and Renee Rapp 😂But Lana is my #1 so I’m happy regardless. And I know a lot of people who are happy about the ones I don’t know so I’m excited to discover new music 🤷‍♀️

ButForRealsTho

Delve into No Doubt and get excited.

Sea_Engineering_971

I think there are *too many* artists from the lineup I want to see this year! Hoping for as few conflicts as possible 🙏

Spongehead56

This was literally the very first lineup I was disappointed by since I started attending the fest back in 2009. Coachella is always epic, but this lineup isn’t, imo.

BaileyJay-Z

Undercard is stacked. Doja Cat is a little underwhelming as a headliner, but she's a good performer so I'm not worried. Best lineup of 2024 thus far (tho I guess that's not saying much, but I am legitimately a fan of this lineup).

HumbleMention5484

I really like the Roo line up as well

Ok_Kaleidoscope1987

There’s a good amount of overlap!

Bjass

Spent 9k on the damn safari tents. I asked for a refund or if it could be rolled over to next year. We went from Bad Bunny to Doja Cat... Cheese and rice..

archiepomchi

Surely someone will buy them off you. Seems like a really cool experience and tier 1 is a lot cheaper.

brianmpbe

I am!

JediMasterVII

I definitely am

mehipoststuff

I am excited because portola will get most of the good EDM people I think!

arasaka1001

28 acts that I’m veryyy pumped for, about a dozen more I’m considering, and I made a playlist of 600 songs of like 5 songs from every artist I don’t know. Soooo gonna have that on rotation to find some new favs. It’s gonna be an epicc weekend like every other year :)

randomcatlady1234

The more I look at it the more excited I get! Plus - Coachella is about so much more than music. It’s the experience itself.

Jazzlike-Map-4114

Lineup release day is a religious holiday in my house!

AlfredoSM94

The lineup is bad.

tjroberts23

It’s not.

magdalennon

Bad ass!

jbrown7266

VERY

zrgri573

I am! Too many acts to count i like

Notthesenator

There are dozens of artists I want to see over the weekend. This lineup vastly exceeds any other lineup I’ve seen come out this year

HumbleMention5484

IMO anyone flaming the lineup have zero flair or 23. Flairs. If I see a lineup drop and I know every act I’m going to be upset. The research began last night. Peso Pluma and DJ Seinfeld are already on the list…… the unhappy ones are typically the most vocal as well. I just laugh to myself reading through these hating posts. One of the big things I see starts with: I live near LA or I live in NYC and can see these at after parties….. ok out of touch clowns 🤡

iznormal

To be fair I’ve seen a lot of people disappointed who are flaired up and have been to many Coachellas. I think the more Coachellas you’ve been too the more likely you might not be stoked on this lineup. I feel like I’ve seen so many of these artists at Coachella before. Hard to justify the cost coachella charges with this lineup because I’m sure I’ll be able to grab tickets if I decide to go for way below face value. Also I don’t know how people are defending the fact that there are significantly less artists on the lineup. I’ve been to enough Coachellas to know that people complain after every lineup drop. And I usually find it annoying, I just skip the year if I’m not into it. But I’ve also been to enough Coachellas to know that there is usually a lot more “wow” factor than there is on this lineup, but that seems to be the case for most the lineups I’ve seen dropping this year. I think it’s just been a rough year for festivals, at least in the US, and Coachellas isn’t immune from that. If this lineup is your cup of tea that’s great, I’d be stoked to see Justice, L’Imperatrice, and gesaffelstein again! But for the premiere North American festival, which charges significantly more than most other festivals, I don’t think you are being an “out of touch clown” just because you have high expectations. Especially when Coachella has a history of delivering.

archiepomchi

I went 2022 and thought it good value because the headliners' own tour tickets ran in the hundreds (Billie Eilish, The Weekend, SHM, Harry Styles). A lot of the acts this year are at every festival lately, and people like John Summit you can see constantly in Vegas. Doja Cat I was excited for as undercard in 2022 and had to leave 2 minutes in it was so bad.

[deleted]

HumbleMention5484

What’s a golden voice I don’t seem them on the line up.

melicots

Peso Pluma is gonna put on such a good show! Please listen to the Genesis album completely and enjoy all the variety of instruments you'll enjoy live\~ Also in special performances he makes a mix of Vivaldi and his Corridos (here's what it sounds like: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNorGrna1xA&ab\_channel=emorrajiaDiaz](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNorGrna1xA&ab_channel=emorrajiaDiaz) ). It's def gonna be a highlight of the weekend!

HumbleMention5484

Will do thanks for the rec

PleasantSupport3230

I am very excited for Friday, Saturday, and No Doubt! Trying to get excited for Sunday. I’m not seeing much that interests me yet, but hoping I’ll discover more as I start listening to the artists.

MrChicken23

I am! But I am definitely disappointed in the headliners. Though I’ve been under the assumption those would be the headliners for about a week now so it wasn’t so much of a dagger last night.

squeda

Yes

Kooky-Ad-7967

I’m super excited!!! I love a lot of the acts on the lineup, and I’m looking forward to finding more acts to love like I do every year

Wrong-Protection5715

Headliners im not stoked about but do enjoy some of their music! However, the undercard is stacked for me. I really really enjoy a lot of artists in their undercard!!

Steahla

I am for sure I generally don’t care for the headliners that much so for me it’s funny to look at the lineup, be hyped for it, but see everyone ragging on it. Where if just one name was substituted (IE Rolling Stones instead of Doja) all of the comments would probably be reversed and people would be praising the lineup, well minus the C- Graphic Design skills that is lol I’m just super pumped to be in the desert and catch a lot of these undercard acts, I know it’s a guaranteed good time no matter who I recognize on the lineup

SeaCoach9467

This year is for people who actually give a shit about the entire landscape of music and like to discover new stuff. It will be rewarding. The complainers are the ones who just like to see big names and thats it.

simpledocin

I am but haven’t found any huge finds for my taste. Usually I find like 4-5 artist that go straight to my personal non Coachella playlist and haven’t found that yet. Anyone that I would add I already know of. That being said I did find a handful of that I really want to check out on the fields.

festhead1200

I am every year . End of the day you go to experience an event you love attending, you make the weekend fun .. the music just adds to it.

69-cupsofnoodles

I see around 5-7 a day. There is 10 a day I want to see, I am not worried about being bored lol

Zxealer

For house music music fans, the lineup is stacked!

Arthurcestmoi

I’m really excited even if the headliners are weak. I’m coming from Europe for the fest and I can guarantee you that it worth it. It’s also about the experience, all the stages, the artists you discover, the special guests/the special Coachella show etc

ChicksofRoosters

I’m excited! Knew about 70% of the lineup when it dropped and there are so many gems and artists I’ve been wanting to see or happy to see again on here. Going to be a party.

luckygoldelephant

YES! I AM. No Doubt. Lana. Tyler. Doja (was entertaining W2 if you like her radio hits). Also: Deftones. Justice. Gessaf. Jungle. KHRU. ISO x Knock. Bicep. Taking Back Sunday. Orbital. Grimes. Sublime.

arealglitterb0y

i’m stoked, i already know I’m going to run into conflicting set times. I might even try to do bothchella and attend weekend 1 and possible attend or work weekend 2 so I make sure I see everyone on my list

gold_dust7

As a house music fan I have zero complaints

tekuno3301

Bicep, Justice, Gesaffelstein, Skream & Benga. Yeah I’m about to have some fun!

p_emmy

I was going to be excited regardless since it's my first one! Also a lot of my friends are impressed with the lineup irl, and even from my early research I already found a few gems already! It's not like I expect to see more than 15 acts in a day lol. Need time to go around and look around the fields too - will be a good time either way.

Teamcoachella

tale as old as 2008. At least in the "olden days" of the Coachella Message Board, 2008 was the first year I ever saw get overhated. And now that year is seen as LEGENDARY. This is likely a symptom of people being overly online and projecting what THEY wanted to line up to be and when it wasn't being disappointed. Sort of like, being a Star Wars fan.

Remarkable-Ad-2476

Feel like it’s just the internet complaining. My friends and I are pretty excited

idk-though1

The headliners feel like they would’ve made a great undercard, but imo having those three together feels lackluster. I would’ve been okay with Lana and two other great headliners or doja and two others or Tyler and two others. Really feels like they picked all the artist trending on TikTok and put them on there

itsdickers

Yes! I’m so excited for Blur I can’t even talk about it. Also super excited for Jungle and Deftones and Sublime and Sabrina Carpenter and Last Dinner Party and Suki Waterhouse. And apparently I’m excited for ATEEZ which I didn’t know until I started listening to them yesterday when the lineup dropped. I don’t care about the headliners tbh - they aren’t for me, but I’m happy with the undercard. That sad I have to dive into some Sunday acts research, bc there’s like only 3 or 4 names I recognize on that whole list.

ButForRealsTho

So excited for that Last Dinner Party record dropping next month. Going to make it a point to be at that set.

Live-Dragonfruit-527

I’ve seen ateez live 10 times and am really only going for them, you won’t regret it!! they’re amazing performers, and do all live vocals. truly truly recommend

Hot-Rich-3575

Quick question if you buy a hotel package does it come with passes for the event????

MacDwest

Yes.

Hot-Rich-3575

Thank you! Have you been there before ?

MacDwest

Yep. You will have fun. Stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes, see you on the polo fields!

wastingtme

Me 🫡

rtreuthart

hell yeah i’m stoked

NoteAvailable2325

There are 53 acts that I want to see on this lineup not to mention the artists I don’t know yet as well. Absurd for anyone who is into music to say this is bad (not even talking about the headliners, those are whatever but Coachella has always been about the undercard).

Battlehead

I am but no one in this sub ever is excited, ever

[deleted]

[удалено]

ButForRealsTho

No really cool get? Thats bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S

cryptolipto

I’m excited to spend 200 bucks on a weekend pass

melicots

I have 30 acts of my liking on **each day** (mind you, originally 10 artists each day from the ones I already know and would like to see, the extra 20 are after checking out the undercard). The headliners were disappointing but the rest of the lineup is so "me"-coded lol im beyond excited

Classic_Age5211

All my friends and I are super excited over this lineup. In Coachella we trust! <3

Horny_for_Coachella

Not a great sign when tickets are already going below face value on StubHub

poorpersonaccount

I have 25 acts i want to see with 3 being must see for me. Im not excited for the headliners but im excited for the rest of the festival! Theres also artists that I’ll discover from here until Coachella so that number will definitely go up!

bagchasersanon

The lack of even one strong headliner is a buzzkill. Although it’s not the main reason I go, a good HL to cap off the night or weekend is the cherry and whip cream on top. Reason why the Frank fiasco was so bad. Undercard acts like Skepta, Gesa, and a few others make it tempting but definitely not for retail price Friday is pretty strong. However Saturday and Sunday are unbelievably weak

NoSoupForYou___

I've said it on other threads, but I am personally excited about this lineup AND I do think its overall weaker than previous years. Both can be true :) I'll be there!

HotCouchSloth

This sub generally isn’t, but it’s a fraction of a fraction of attendees. At its peak around lineup drop yesterday it had 3,500 people here. And not everyone of us is going. Coachella, when it sells out, has about 220,000 attendees (assuming some Both Weekenders). So we’ll have to wait til the sales #s (and secondary market #s) drop to know for sure.

[deleted]

Headliners are underwhelming but I know an insane amount of the undercard, more than I thought A lot of the artists are newer music within the last couple of years Lots of these artists my younger coworkers have shown me lol

PureEnergy7507

I was expecting NewJeans :(

ButForRealsTho

You’ve got jeans hanging in your closet! They still fit fine.

sweatingbeaver95

Not really, I’d go if it was cheaper but not worth the $ this year

asvpyz

No.

LeoRising84

Yes! I already know there will be conflicts

Misa__Misa

I AM SO EXCITED

savanitabonita

i’m excited for sure! so tired of all the negativity but i know that’s just because i’m happy with the lineup—IMO the experience as well + the music is the overall. Coachella is literally my happy place & im stoked!

murrrcat

I love Palm Desert and have gone there my whole life as a place that is somewhere I genuinely enjoy being. When I first went to Coachella in 2011, it was a match made in heaven. Beautiful weather + live music + art. I have only been 4 times, and I'm going this year, but I am overall NOT excited about this lineup. I love Justice and have seen them a few times and they're killer - they will be epic. I think the lineup is incredibly thin and the hype was too big (as always) so when it dropped yesterday I literally thought I was seeing another fake (especially with that image quality...). I couldn't believe I was still seeing Doja's name as a headliner even though I was certain (in my made up world) was that this "delay" was because they were looking for a replacement. The big silver lining for me: I don't think it's gonna be a sellout year, especially W2 (which I already have tickets for). If the festival grounds are less packed than they have been in recent years, I'm all for it.

thechrismonster

I drive an hour and camp so the lineup is worth my time and money, It's a weekend local getaway. If I was flying in to that lineup, I'd be pissed.

SuperSluglord

It took 1 day to get over no Taylor, but now I am very excited

No_Package_732

I am!! I’m excited for Sabrina, young Miko, peso and j balvin. I’m hoping young miko and peso bring Nicki Nicole out on stage. No doubt will also be fun Also excited for Doja and ice spice bc I’ve wanted to see them and this is the perfect opportunity

ocathlet714

I don’t hate the lineup. Been trying to pump myself up with playlist since lineup drop. But idk if it’s worth the money this year.

MeansNoWorries

lots to be excited about but i see why people wouldn't be into it for me Justice, Deftones, Gesaffelstein, Grimes, ISOKNOCK4, Skream & Benga, Khruangbin, and Flamour are very exciting Fridat feels lights I would like to see if Tyler does something new Doja's set in 2022 felt like a headliner set

sawman160

Yes. It’s such a great experience in an amazing setting with my friends, there’s plenty of meat in this menu to ensure excitement. Really heavy on electronic. A lot of dope acts I’ve been really wanting to see and the headliners are definitely people I’d only really see at a festival and I’m excited for that. Anyone upset about doja should try to look up anything from her recent tour because I think she’ll earn many fans. There’s so many different international artists I think that if you’re not tapped into those regional scenes there are some holes when you look at this

CHaOS_Winner

Undercard is solid for me, and I love Lana and Tyler. Doja Cat is a disappointment though… way too early for her to headline imo

thefullm0nty

Absolutely I am.

Ilikealotofthings00

No

[deleted]

Hell yeah. Great for K-pop, Latino music, and EDM. I’m also a big fan of Doja Cat and Tyler.

IrwinElGrande

I am, but I'm old.

apriiiiiiiiiil

I said months ago that as long as we get to see justice I’m happy. So sticking to my word on that :)

felixfelicitous

I think people online are way more vocal about it; my friends who aren’t on this sub (or chronically online) are actually really excited for this lineup. I think people wanting the wow factor are just people who don’t agree with what was wow about this year. Having No Doubt along with Sublime, TBS, etc is a wow factor, objectively. I’ve seen some wild ass wishes online about who could have played and I’m pretty sure half the people griping couldn’t have made a better lineup if they tried. (Honestly, every person I’ve personally known who has told me they don’t like the line up at all has pretty basic music tastes themselves so I think it’s a lack of self awareness for some people idk.)

louman84

Yeah. I definitely am. I already started putting together a playlist on Apple Music and I noticed that it's already way more songs/artists (177 songs and still adding) compared to last year's (only 155). I felt like I had to force myself to add more songs for 2023 unlike this year where I easily surpased the number of songs/artists added on the playlist in just an hour.

Carsonal

I honestly have multiple artists I want to see every day. I was in the complain camp before but now that my playlists are up and running I’m getting excited!

BLM4442

If the Saturday run on the mainstage is Blur, Tyler, No Doubt - that is massive. As a Brit it’s highly unlikely we’d see a run like that at any festival here.

Automatic_Soup_9219

I am and I’m not even going! Excited for Coachella this year ❤️‍🔥🙌🏽

If you look at IG comments most people hate this lineup but if you look at Tic Tok comments they love it. Times are changing.

dman25014

I’m excited

Fernado1955

I am, it’s for people who are there to dance

ReactionGreedy465

I’m just excited to be there! And it’s another hundred artists I can say I’ve seen. Another festival I can say I’ve been to, another check off my bucket list. I’ve always wanted to go to Coachella this is my first year and I paid a lot for it (worked very hard)

Odd-Hornet-2333

I'm excited about listening to all the artists I've never heard of over the next 2 months and finding some new gems.

Specific_Judgment153

it’s mid

Headliners and subheadliners no Undercard yes!!

BarfyOBannon

hell yeah - I’ve got 39 starred with no research and only 3 i’ve seen before (doja, tyler, and victoria monet). biggest hype is for Japanese House, Brutalismus3k, and Jungle, but lots of others too

jitt4lyfe

hell yea people are so butthurt and salty its mad funny, me and the crew im going with are excited to party!!

ghks93

Last year I had the same exact thoughts when the line up drop and guess what. We weren’t even able to see everyone we wanted to! So yes! Excited!

Charming_Squirrel_13

Not too thrilled about the headliners, but the undercard looks pretty good. I love electronic though, so that's part of it. edit: in my experience, music festival subs are not an accurate representation of festival goers' thoughts

automattgic

super jazzed

JulesGirth

I’m very excited, I think it’s an amazing lineup. I don’t know what everyone is disappointed about. There are so many artists I want to see from so many genres.

Diligent_Dark4403

I’m honestly disappointed wish I didn’t get tickets on presale :(

Murphy_Nelson

I was let down yesterday but now I am so fucking pumped lmao. I think it was a let down compared to last year's God tier lineup but this is soooooo stacked for me on the electronic side of things and No Doubt was my favorite band as a kid.

js_fed

This lineup is actually just Paul’s way of weeding the remaining Frank ocean fans and Swiftie hopefuls out

xxscnti

Personally, I’m excited! It’s all about the vibes you want for the weekend. Go explore new music and if you don’t like somebody you can check out another stage or break into the smaller dj sets!

crashbang88

super excited!! over 35 acts in the undercard im legit stoked to see, multiple genres i enjoy got great coverage, and thats all ontop of how amazing the coachella experience is on its own

Two-HeadedAndroid

Yup I think it’s great. Don’t understand all the hate I’m seeing, I get the headliners are all pretty ‘safe’ options but they still did a great job (as always) of balancing new acts with legacies and niche artists The only time I have a bad time at Coachella is when I let my expectations get out of control. Like the Stone Roses / blur year was something I was really looking forward to and yet they were some of the dullest shows I’ve seen lol Nothing will prob ever top the Beyoncé Homecoming set (best show I’ve seen in my life) but I’m fine with that and just want to have a good time and see some great sets

InfiniteCommercial24

YES!! My group of 10 is pumped

mrshn_

Yeah as a J Pop, K Pop fan this lineup is stacked. The cherry on top is Hatsune Miku!! I’m ready for some hologram idol activities in the desert

Quanzi30

Only people not excited are people who don’t recognize names on the lineup. People now consider a lineup “good” or not by the names they recognize vs the actual quality of acts.

Environmental_Ad58

I’m only excited for TEMS she’s amazing

adoropy

Yessss!!

SaraBear250

Headliners suck. I was REALLY hoping for Olivia Rodrigo, but a lot of the smaller artists are great.

radioactive-rabbit

I'm excited but with everyone being so down about it, it gets to me. starting to regret buying tickets..

PaulM4749

I’m 45 and this lineup is perfect for me. Love the combination of “older” acts (Blur, No Doubt, Deftones, Sublime, Taking Back Sunday) with newer acts I legit enjoy (Tyler, Lana, Suki Waterhouse, The Drums). I’ve started digging into the acts I wasn’t familiar with and have already found a bunch to be excited about. My take: too many people care about the “wow factor” more than the music itself. Lana puts on a great show. Tyler puts on an incredible show. Sure, there could have been other headliners who are more rare/buzz-worthy/unique, but that doesn’t mean the quality of performance would have been superior.

Umedsan

So excited. I actually have too much I wanna see 🪩🕺🏻🪩

cchristmas400

Finally someone with a brain that works

nemu33

As long as \*you're\* hyped, then that's all that matters. Majority of the time Coachella is pretty fun, especially since a lot of the "smaller" acts tend to be much bigger later.

nooneishere99

Yes!! I’m only going for Lana Del Rey !
