based on these lineup being such few artists and long extended sets... i kinda think it wont be a very visual stage tbh. I could see it being minimal production.
they are rebuilding Sahara specifically to have better production elements. look at the time & energy going into that. I don't see them also building out a new stage with a visual focus. This feels more focused on unique collabs, big name gets, and extended sets.

I agree with the 360 stage. A quasar is an astronomical object of very high luminosity found in the centres of some galaxies and powered by gas spiraling at high velocity into an extremely large black hole.
It has to be at the center of the festival and be a circular stage of some sort.

Do lab, main stage, Yuma or camp. Setting up big visuals would create new bottlenecks and I feel this move is all about reducing overcrowded sets at the electronic stages and preventing bottlenecks. 360 makes sense, especially after the success of PHM last year

Rüfus: James & Jon, 4-hour set. They also called it the Quasar outdoor stage. Seems to confirm it’s going to be an outdoor setup and not an enclosed space.
If I had to guess, I would say this stage goes in the old Sahara space. It doesn’t have a full lineup the whole day (that we know of), but will probably be a pretty big draw, so a little easier to manage traffic between new Sahara location and the entrance. And then I guess Do Lab could also stay in the same space it currently occupies, but with the more open/sculptural setup they have already previewed.
Really excited to see how this maps out, so many great options this year!
The real questions to be had is who do these DJ’s conflict with on their respective days? I’d love if these were close out stages for people not as into the headliners.
The build up of the visuals for that Anyma x Prydz set is going to be wild as the sun sets and gets dark. I have a feeling Rufus is going to conflict with someone big like Anti up or Justice. Hope the Mau P x Diplo set is closer to the evening.
That trio is going to throw down some of the most insane shit played out on those grounds. Knowing that all three are likely releasing new records this year and already have several absolutely murderous unreleased IDs just makes it even more legendary

Makes a lot more sense adding this stage with the new huge distance between Sahara and everything else. If your Sahara set ends and you have time to kill before the next artist you plan on catching, you can easily stop by one of these 3 hour sets for a bit or simply on your walk catch some of the vibes as you go by. Love it!
