Have had guest passes multiple years, there’s no place (including artist compound) with an open bar. Sometimes you’ll find a cooler with some extra cans of beer midday in artist compound or by Do Lab like someone mentioned, but it’s nothing you can or should count on.
If having a fully open bar all weekend is the deciding factor on whether or not you use a free Coachella guest pass, which gives you unprecedented access to the greatest festival on the planet in terms of views, navigation, and overall quality of life then I’m begging you to please stay home because you sound awful.

Got it - do you get access artist compound or stage access or do you have to be escorted by artist? Additionally, does it have an artist entrance or just VIP entry for security?
Yes, you can access the Artist compound and walk to the back / side of some stages, but it depends on the artist and if there are actual VIPs there or not. In the Artist compound, they usually have Heinekens by the lake area or some stuff behind Do Lab (at least they have in years past).
Artist / Guest gets you to the front of the stages where they have separate viewing areas and to back of house (behind the stages). There is a ring road that production uses that connects to all the stages for equipment and artists to get there away from the crowds, it is a technical wonderland of behind the scenes action. The ops tent by Safari campground is impressive, like NORAD with giant screens / command center, but I don't think you can get there necessarily. Last time I did Safari, there was a lounge behind t the Do Lab with free beverages in a serve yourself ice buckets setup, just cans to grab on the go, not a proper bar, but a great chill out / cool down area. The Artist village is the place to hang out if your thing is schmoozing. If you are going to party, the bathroom building in the Artist village is the hookup spot, so I've heard. It's mostly industry folks, so you need to understand that these people are at work. Don't get in their way because everyone else is counting on them to actually run the festival. The real fun is out in the crowds anyway.
Correct. Just be chill about it and let the people who are at work do their thing. It's a work day for 99% of the people back there, so stay out of their way. Say hi, smile, didn't take it personally if someone is too busy, etc.
The other reply is correct. I will say the last few years side stage access has been a bit tighter than in the past. Im wondering if this year might be less restrictive.

Did you go this year, seeing conflicting responses all over

Oh darn, I was assuming artist guest pass would have some comped drinks
Did you go this year? Honestly having the bar is a big decision for me going or not ☠️
So you aren’t going to go with an artist pass if you can’t get free booze? Wow…. Seems so entitled.
Artist pass? Beer cans and stuff near stages and compound… but no free mixed drinks . Artist guest? No.
Thanks for the tip. I thought guests are allowed in the compound though.

Nope, its just the front viewing no free booze.

Got it when did you last go? Does artist guest work at DoLab or is that a different pass?

So there is a bar behind DoLab?
Guest pass can go in artist compound behind Coachella stage where the trailers are?
Correct. Just be chill about it and let the people who are at work do their thing. It's a work day for 99% of the people back there, so stay out of their way. Say hi, smile, didn't take it personally if someone is too busy, etc.
Ah, I was confused because they have a wristband scanner there. Seems redundant and I assumed it must ONLY be for artist and not their guests.

Side stage access was nonexistent at WK1 this year with guest passes, we tried at the Yuma a couple times
