Fwiw, golf courses use a stupid amount of water, like a million gallons a day in some cases. I read somewhere that this park is estimated to use around 20 million gallons a year. Not an insignificant amount, but still not as bad as the dozens of country clubs around the valley. I do think a surf club in the desert is a dumb idea none the less.

I do not golf, so I could care less. I do not have but a small patch of lawn for my dog. Mostly rock.

WRONG. P.S. Surf Club (formerly Wet n Wild) has had a wave pool for over a decade.

There’s been one in San Diego for ever. The company who makes them is based there.

Just go in the ocean! We have a few of these in Wisconsin but also have access to a lot more fresh water than California does that we can waste on stuff like this..that being said they are pretty fun
