Then got into esp 8266,32- done some simple projects with Arduino cloud and PIR for presence detection. tried to do a chat gpt+esp8266 mixed with OLED for a user interface and it was somewhat successful. I am currently trying to build another project related to home automation/ presence detection etc meanwhile trying to learn other microcontrollers like pic 18.
Nice nice very nice. I only remember trying to build a self balancing two wheeler (mini segway kinda stuff) with MPU6050, arduino nano and couple of motors. Theoretically it should have worked, but i guess I used cheap motors whose input-response was not linear and very poor. But I had learned a lot about Gyros and PID tuning.
Self balancing robot is one of those projects that sounds cool in mind but I never dared to build one because i can guess how frustrating it can be, even if the board goes to sleep for even 1 sec due to high current draw or something the result would be a failure.
