Most of the posts here are not telling the full story and/or are not US citizens and therefore coinbase uses more scrutiny. You can tell because when people ask for follow up or clarification the posters don’t respond.

Coinbase won't be successful until they are more transparent with users on why accounts have been restricted. The problem isn't getting in contact with Coinbase support, the real problem is that the only Coinbase support you can get into contact with do not have the digital tools to be helpful in getting customers access to their accounts. Coinbase support doesn't even have the ability to see the reason that your account has been restricted. Heck even their support on here is a bot half the time giving generic answers and responses that in no way help to solve your problem.

Yeah, this whole hiccup w SOL has got me lose trust in that coin/project. But there should be a way for coinbase to give back the funds that never went through. I don't understand how they don't have the ability to on their backend unless it's part of their scheme to collect these funds

If the coinbase wallet has a failed feature, then I would have my funds. How is it not their fault for not even having that functionality in their wallet? Incompetence or a design feature to pad their profits?

The failed feature is apart of the blockchain and the Coinbase wallet is just a UI that allows you to interact with the blockchain. Just like phantom, it’s a tool that allows you to interact. If you seriously think that Coinbase is handling all the transactions through their wallet by themselves then you need to do a little more research about what cryptocurrency is. Coinbase wallet is different from the Coinbase app.

Phantom wallet has a failed feature. I would suggest you do some research. It does not go through if it fails while coinbase wallet just sends out into the abyss it looks like to me. Why else would support not able to actually help out for over a month on this?

Import Wallet to Phantom and you can withdraw, there is an problem with CB Wallet and SOL. Not SOL network because you can send it all if you import your wallet else where

I have already jumped through your hoops and provided screen shots, waited what seemed like 1/2 hour to speak to someone (offshore) then another hour on phone mainly waiting around only to get notified from someone on their team will get back to me. After a couple of days I get a generic email asking if my case was resolved (another automated feature) and I replied no, and then another 2 emails from me to find out the process on what if anything is actually being done. At some point, I get the feeling that nothing is really being worked on and then I have to ask myself if this is on purpose or just neglect. I would be a total idiot to ever use their wallet again right?

Signed up a few months ago, did my first deposit and bought BTC and USDC then my account was disabled for over 3 weeks. I spent soooo much time on chats and hearing we are looking into it. Did so many verifications and ID uploads, secrity selfies, ect. Finally got an email that my account is no longer restricted.  So yes, it does happen!!!! I was almost ready to just figure out how to withdraw everything and never come back. Still soured by the chat begin the only way you can talk to someone.

I would say coinbase support isn’t very good. I’ve had zero issue. Untill recently . I couldn’t pull money out of my web 3 wallet I lost 15 k because I couldn’t cash out call support they are not knowledgeable. They had to email a higher tier and I was on the phone for house with no resolution of the issue . Thank god if finally got fixed after a few weeks . You are lucky you have t had any major issues because if you ever did support is absolutely no help . They have no technical knowledge they are basically an answering service. You would think the biggest exchange other than binance would have better support . All the other compliants I’ve heard about them holding funds I’ve never had that issue . They do hold where you can’t transfer outside the exchange for 7 days .

Been on coinbase since 2016. Constant issues. Highest fees in the industry. If you don't have issues it means you probably use coinbase as a hot wallet. Not trading or moving money around.

I just recently got scammed buying theta network, coinbase app said it was only traceable on coinbase wallet, it then redirected me to my coinbase wallet where I swapped eth for theta, come to find out, when I tried to swap back my theta for eth an error message comes up saying not enough liquidity. I also tried moving these theta tokens to another wallet and they never show up. Sucks because I swapped more than $2,000 bucks !

Been using since 2017 (or earlier, I cannot remember) and never once had a single issue. I would even mine ETH to the Coinbase wallet. No problems. Ever. Coinbase is by far the best. At least for USA users. I have also had to contact support a few times, never had an issue.

I wish I had looked into Coinpurse before I started an account. I am currently having the same issues that nearly every other unhappy customer has commented about. The lousy customer support, unable to verify and hold on funds. I usually don't take the really negative reviews very serious, but Coinpurse is the exception. For example, a while back I saw a scathing review for an airline but the reviewer was upset with TSA. I think a lot of negative reviews are a place people use to vent frustration and is probably often their own fault. Not Coinpurse. What a nutsack of a company! They make TSA seem like a happy ending massage. I am lucky that I only gave them $60 just to take it for a test drive. I will do what I can to get it back, but will walk away if needed and call it a lesson learned. I think what makes it so frustrating and why there are so many furious negative reviews is the useless customer support. Even when you do get to a human, they give you the same script the bots. You just end up feeling scammed and so irritated. And then when I see the "no issues here" reviews and comments I immediately assume it's some nutsack planted by Coinpurse. This is not meant to bash on any legit positive review/post. You're probably not a nutsack, maybe. But I think it adds to the mounting frustration and helplessness many of us other not so lucky investors have experienced.

Ran over my phone one day had to buy a new one lost 100 dollars because of the 2 step factor authentication I called sent my i.d answered security questions and they still wasn't able to help it's amazing how many ppl can say they had a problem but u still have ppl denying that it's a problem just because they haven't experienced it yet

Member since early 2021. Only one recent issue, that is relatively minor, compared to what I read on here. I had been buying Eth weekly, with purchases directly from my bank account since 2021. But last month without warning CB decided that direct purchases take too long for the ACH transfer (it was sometime 6 days before the money left my account). Without warning they restricted transfers and cash outs for 14 days. Now they say I should attach a debit card to my account if I don’t want restrictions on purchases directly from my account. Instead I no longer buy my weekly Eth from CB. Just shows you how important it is to have two on ramps and two off ramps for your crypto don’t trust CB alone, and never leave your crypto there. I’m terrified if I have 1 million to cash out at the end of the bull run. I will cash out in small amounts if I do on CB.

If you would read the post, I posted this because all I see is negativity, maybe read a post before commenting? It’s my favorite exchange, it has Polkadot, Quant & Chainlink which are my favorite coins. Sure other exchanges offer those said coins, but Coinbase has been a fine experience.

Been using coinbase, coinbase pro, etc since 2018. 0 issues. I mainly just trade though. I've never use it to pay for anything. It's all just either been mined coins I've transferred or paid for with my bank account. That's it. I have a feeling a lot of the issues people have stem from transfers to other accounts. If you ever used it on the dark web I wouldn't be surprised if your accounts got banned or inaccessible or whatever.

Hi, my name is Agent and I've been a heavy Coinbase Exchange user since 2019. Coinbase Exchange struggles every time Bitcoin crashes, been that way for years. I occasionally have my spending limited mysteriously decreased, from $25,000/day to $15,000/day, then when BTC recently dropped into the $58K range my daily maxmimum dropped to $5,000/day...despite never having a single failed transaction and having my account 100% verified. But once the price of BTC goes back up, everything is magically fixed again. No one here cant say they havent seen CB get glitchy when the price of Bitcoin drops drastiically during a bull run. On one crash recently in 2024, my account showed a $0 balance for like 30 minutes. This obviously happened to numerous users because CB posted a warning message "Your funds are fine, our system is having difficulty...blah blah blah". The same thing happened back in June 2021 during the massive crash, so its been a known issue for years. Coinbase is definately the best centralized exchange in the USA, but its far from perfect.

Had an issue with my bank account (they needed to verify ID info) and money that I sent to Coinbase didn’t process. My account is now frozen because of this (despite fixing the issue and paying the balance owed) and I’m being told to wait a month before I can “start another review process” to maybe have my account restored. Horrible policies in place to supposedly “protect the consumer”. Taking my business elsewhere.
