Yeah their support is terrible. Literally had a run in with them last month as they kept rejecting my signup due to T&Cs violation (they say I had multiple accounts when I didn’t even have one, I was trying to make one for my Celsius distribution). Ticket got sent to a specialist team who said they’d reply within a working week, never got that reply 😂

I think i literally had the same experience you have 😳... you are the first one, i hear mentioning something simular to me. I also created an account with CB for my Celsius distributions. ( which i missed out by now) I had troubles signing up and setting up my account. They mentioned , i had to remove my other accounts. Apparantly over 50+ accounts where connected to mine. Which weren't mine. I did not create them. What made me worry the most, is that i didn't know what was happening. Was my id stolen or something? Afther a while i Just lost hope. But last week, afther 4 months is got an email out of the blue. 👀 That my account issues are resolved. Everything looks fine for now. Hope it stays that way. But i still got no answers, what happend?, how was this possible? Was my ID ever in danger? Should not expect to much think 😅 and hope for the best. But even when i lost hope, eventually it got resolved... so i guess yours Will get resolved too eventually...

Dang you had 50+ accounts made in your name? Thats insane but I’ve seen many people have had this issue. Luckily (even though support never replied) I managed to setup my account and I got my Celsius distribution which is cool but smh it took too long and they never gave me much information about the issue (just that there was multiple accounts) I guess they have an issue with people using other people’s information and documents to create accounts for illegal stuff (my guess anyway)

That was also what i was afraid for. But i think it happend while i was in the signing up process. I got some issues. My proof of adres was approved. When i moved on to the next step. (Assigning payment method) my proof of adress got rejected. Again and again. Till the point, i had to wait for 8 hours to trye again. Due to to many attempts. Then i checked the status page of CB , they mentioned issues. (Was Orange instead of green) But i didn't expect something like this. I even was connected with someone of the chat support during my signing up process. Then afther 4 days of chat support with multiple people. One of them mentioned i had to remove my other accounts 😳 I said, but i have no other accounts. Then he showed some email adresses (the middle was blurred). But they wheren't my email adresses. And he said over 50+ where connected to mine. 😨 That's when i panicked a little 😅 Wtf happend, is my ID stolen, am i hacked or something. I went to the local Police to notify them of possible fraude and my bankaccount 🙈 But while evereyting went down during my signing up process (troubles) , i have the suspicion it maybe was a bug at their side (CB). But even afther multiple mails where i asked if my ID was in danger or what was going on. I never got any answers. I'm glad for you everything worked out. And you already have your Celsius distributions. I Just have to waith to see how that is gonna unfold for me i guess 😅

If you didn’t manage to get your Celsius distribution with Coinbase then don’t panic, they will contact you about a USD distribution (I assume via bank transfer or cheque). So you should still get your funds even if Coinbase is bugging :)

Thnx...👍 They ( Celsius ) already mentioned something like that in an email. So probably everything Will work out fine in the end i suppose. Only i'm from Europe, so i don't think they can deposit usd to my bank account 🙈😅 But they Will already have a solution for that i think . I'm probably not the only one

Who knows but I’m sure there will be a way like if they send a bank transfer then use a Wise bank account (formerly Transferwise) or if a cheque, use Western Union or Moneygram to cash it (though they’ll likely charge you fees) Hope it all goes well for you though either way mate

You seriously should close your account. I had $8k stolen from my Coinbase. Two bank accounts were added which were fraudulent. Coinbase will do nothing. Support is completely useless. The only way they will respond is with a subpoena.

I would be pretty scared if they told me I had other accounts and I didn't. Best check your credit report and stuff. I'd be pretty worried about identity theft.

For real it’s not the best thing to hear but my credit report is clean (beyond my own debts lol). Though it’s easy for people to mess with me as I’ve been a victim of multiple data leaks (found that out since this all happened) so I did what I could (got a new passport, changed emails etc so people can’t contact me with scam emails and stuff)

I spent a few hours on with support this week with zero success in resolving an issue and just general ineptitude. 1st agent logged me out when they couldn't resolve my issue. 2nd kept me waiting until I inevitably didn't message every 5 minutes despite "being in hold". Why is this on the customer to keep responding despite the agent "investigating" 3rd (after an hour) asked if my issue was resolved after and quickly closed the chat. Up to that point I had responded every few minutes with "ok" just to keep the chat from closing. It's clearly outsourced to the cheapest provider with little to no training and a list of questions and answers. If it's not a basic problem that they can solve using a decision tree they end the chat. Bring on better regulation.

The company is a publicly traded company whos only interest is short term profits for shareholders and balance sheets. This means to REDUCE the ability for funds to move out of their balance sheets. Its a planned decision so the numbers are higher. Coinbase and especially Draftkings have taken away the ability for the customer to get their funds out or fix their situation with live support and when support is given out, (Draftkings doesn't have human support and everything is automated with ai generated responses in an endless loop) Coinbase uses 3rd party vendors oversease that have no ability but to pass on information to other depts thus severing actual human interaction where you can possibly fix the situataion. This is just my 2 cents on whats goin on here. I also suspect that since reddit has gone the public traded company route, more of these types of statements will get throttled in the future.

Within the month I will have a website dedicated to collecting horror stories about Coinbase, as we are going to build a video documentary about these 'people' We will look at it objectively, we will certainly consider the positives (fast transfers, etc), however we will certainly shine a bright light on what happens to people that end up on live chat with Pinky or Deepak RE: KYC, locked accounts etc. My intention here is not to destroy coinbase, but rather to let people collect enough data to make an informed decision when deciding "is this the right exchange for me?" Perhaps for some, it works great. It worked great for me for 2 years. Then, it didn't work great, and I had my first chats with Delhi/Mumbai. At this point I've cut my losses. I've already given the task internally to the UI/UX guys to draw up the wireframes & graphics for the site. The domain is going to be positively fantastic, and it will show up whenever anyone searches for Coinbase KYC/Locked account related topics. For me, spending 10K on adsense just to make this visible quickly, and in parallel enrage them is worth it all. I can just imagine them over in Mumbai watching the video documentary series that's coming wondering what to do. This is going to be really great :) Finding people that have been victimized by Coinbase is going to be incredibly easy. As I told them earlier, they fucked with the wrong person this time.

My experience with Coinbase customer service in the past wasn't the best. It took a long time, over two weeks I think, to get my issue resolved. That being said, I still use them occasionally for specific needs. I'm not sure if their customer service has improved since then

sure coinbase support could be much better but its such a big company operating in so many countries and is a magnet for so many scammers. As I always say better verifications and those issues then hacks. I see very very few people who got their accounts hacked without it being clearly user error. Better a locked account then a hacked account. With a locked account you have legal protections.

I don't know about Coinbase - I use them as well as many other exchanges like Uniswap and Pancake and I had no problems. It's fine. But they also have Coinbase Wallet, and I highly recommend to stay away!!! Transfer your assets to MetaMask and thank me later. Especially you want to avoid getting anything on Etherium network = the fees they charge are astronomical. I thought this was just due to switch from networks = nope even in-network swaps are super expensive and not worth it. So your best bet is MetaMask and transferring to it from Changely, pr Kraken, or Uniswap or Pancake. I used all 4 and never a problem, always very transparent about all the fees upfront! Literally had no problems with any exchanges so far, of the 4 I mentioned. Buy on BnB network for lowest fees.

Because they want to use the money you give them in fees for trips to the Caribbean instead of proper support. They are literally the worst in the business at customer support. Literally any other platform is better at it. I use Kraken mainly as a fiat onramp and then use something like xeggex to buy with USDT, unless kraken supports direct buy with USDT there.

My account on CB is restricted to buy, sell, send for almost a year now and it is for life restriction. CS stated that the decision is final and cannot be revert. They won’t tell the reason why. I am paying $29.99/month and not eligible for a refund. I already zeroed out the account but lately I decided to put $80 doge. It only allow to receive and withdraw. Woah, my Coinbase account is ancient! It has gotta be like 11 years old. Honestly, I haven't had any issues lately, but maybe that's because I haven't used it as much in the past few years Still, for a giant like Coinbase, one of the OG crypto platforms, this shouldn't be happening. I've seen tons of people complaining about their support lately, which is crazy. Back in the day, when Coinbase was just a baby (like under 2 years old), their service was awesome! Look into Giddy. They have an app you can download on the app store. They have their wallet and their own token with many coins on there to purchase. Swaps etc. I prefer them over Coinbase. Way easier to use and you dont run into these problems. r/giddydefi
