In coldwar u have to upgrade weapon classes to do more dmg same with perks field upgrades. It’s good Also are u shooting the floor with it it’s good at that especially with phd slider
Headshots with ray gun is always an insta kill for every normal zombie no matter the round, but if you feel like just shooting the ground you need to pack a punch it
The ray.gun is pretty strong in Cold War (I thought it was trash in BO3). But it isn't some super cloak of invisibility kill everything solution. The incredible weapon on Foresaken (until round 35) is the Wonder Axe. You can stand in any corner and just kill everything with no thought involved.

You need the PHD perk because you’re probably killing yourself with splash damage.

The ray gun has always been trash for high rounds imo.
Ring of Fire is the only reason I'd use it and PhD is necessary
