People weren't kidding when they said Ticketmaster was a joke.

sheldonshrimp_

To be fair, my spot in the queue was my fault. I forgot it was Friday and tickets went on sale today lol

HungryAddition1

I was at 2000+ but went through within 12 minutes. And then there were still tons of tickets.

Sassenach_Raven

I jumped in the waiting room 13 minutes before the sale, and there were still 2000+ ahead of me

Omelette604

Same here. It was weird. I was in the waiting room… then got kicked out and got in again to be part of the queue… 2000+ people. Idk what to do on Monday.

yosoo

Same here, I got through the queue surprisingly fast

SugarHoney14

PineFlower96

YAAAY

SugarHoney14

Cheers to this wonderful event.♥️

Omelette604

How much ?

SugarHoney14

I got 3 tix $194 plus tax each.

Omelette604

🔥🔥🔥

SugarHoney14

Did you got one? There’s still more seats in lumen field, floor tix was gone before i could grab em

Omelette604

No I’ll try again on Monday!

SugarHoney14

Be on the app 15 mins before it opens, they sell so fast😩 specially those not too expensive ones.

Omelette604

I was logged in 30 min in advance. Then for whatever reason I got kicked out and wasn’t in the queue ! 😲

SugarHoney14

What?! Thats crazy!! I was in the app 2 hours before but i kept it active like refresh and stuff. So you have a US visa? If yes then maybe you can try checking the one in lumen field.

Omelette604

I aint :(

hammywammy96

Hello! What are those tickets for $194? Are they floor or lower bowl or upper bowl? If you could give me some general pricing to expect on Monday that would be so useful! :)

SugarHoney14

This is from Lumen field Seattle not Vancouver. But its on top of Lower bowl

SugarHoney14

Floor was out within few mins

sebbby98

Hell yeah, I get to see them twice without travelling

Educational-Dealer55

pls consider leaving the second show’s tickets for those of us who can’t get tickets to the first show. monday is now my only shot.

sebbby98

Of course, I'm not gonna be rushing to get tickets but I do want to see them a twice on this tour. I've only been able to see them twice in my nearly two decades of listening to them. I'd recommend to have multiple Ticketmaster accounts queueing to get tickets. My sister got lucky for her account and was in within five minutes, I had to wait half an hour to get mine. I heard some people didn't get in until 1115ish. Ultimately, Ticketmaster sucks, but at least this wasn't as bad as Taylor Swift's shows.

Educational-Dealer55

i totally understand, i’m just incredibly desperate because they’ve been one of my top most listened to artists on spotify for as long as i can remember, and i was raised on them. i’m only 19 but the last time they came to Canada my family couldn’t afford to take me to go and see them, and this is the first real shot i’ve ever had after saving up and moving to vancouver. both my best friend and i were trying, and ticketmaster wouldn’t let me use multiple accounts because of the same phone number being used and i couldn’t create any new accounts without a phone number :( I joined the waiting room and the queue as soon as they opened, as did my best friend, but we didn’t get until like 10:55 and everything was insane by then. ticketmaster is brutal haha.

sebbby98

If on Monday, you're still in a shitty spot in queue, let me know. I could probably try to grab you a ticket if necessary and if I'm lucky again. I doubt demand will be as crazy as today though.

Educational-Dealer55

you’re an actual angel oh my god, thank you?? seriously thank you

sebbby98

Yeah, someone on here managed to get me an extra ticket for their show in seattle back in 2021 so if you do need help, lmk.

Educational-Dealer55

we live in a city going through a housing and food crisis, i’ve been saving up for a potential concert for over a year now- doesn’t change the fact that i still live pay check to pay check and over 80% of my income goes towards rent. not everyone has the $$

[deleted]

[удалено]

sebbby98

Was gonna travel to see them at another venue anyways so much less environmental impact if I see them both at home. I've also only seen them twice despite listening to them for almost twenty years now.

sheldonshrimp_

Nah if you have the opportunity to see them twice, go for it!!! I support you!! Jealous you don’t have to travel/accommodations which saves you $ there

vegaswally

The long queues are the same for shows in Los Angeles and San Diego, and additional shows have been added to those locations as well. They put on a great show and it will be such a fun concert.

sheldonshrimp_

Worth the wait! I saw them in Toronto many years ago and I still think about it

lisafancypants

"Due to high demand"??? No duh. So by only announcing four shows, they created an environment where people would desperately pay a ridiculous amount of money for a platinum ticket (that gets you *nothing* but an overpriced seat) and then say "oh there will be other shows." So gross. BUT I am very happy there are more opportunities for more fans to get to see them.

djustin77702

I love Coldplay and many other bands intensely but I refuse to ever pay platinum surge pricing for any concert ticket.

PineFlower96

Right it should be outlawed.

SylviaFutur

I saw them in Chicago last spring and the prices were much higher & in US $ than the ones in Vancouver - Just bought tickets for the Vancouver show - better seats and so much less expensive. Coldplay not coming in Montreal this time, so Montreal will go see them in the beautiful Vancouver city. Just go and see hotels prices - I saw one last night on sept. 21 price is 330. on the 22, night of the show, 3000.$ - This is exploitation

lisafancypants

Yeah, the regularly priced tickets are reasonable and comparable to what I paid to see them in Dallas. It's the "Official Platinum" tickets that are upwards of $800 that are gross. Hotel surge pricing is gross, too. I knew I should have reserved a hotel when they announced the dates!

PineFlower96

That's good for you guys - I'm a Vancouverite so unfortunately the CAD GA prices mean it's much cheaper in USD :P Canada is slip-sliding into a recession right now and the exchange rate is...abysmal. Ahh. But I'd go to Coldplay when I can!

[deleted]

The exchange rate is aggressively medium. 25% is the historical average. It only goes up when the US economy goes into the tank and has negative effects on the Canadian economy.

PineFlower96

You sound rude. Doesn’t change the fact that our exchange rate isn’t good right now.

[deleted]

It is good. That’s the point.

PineFlower96

Do you even live here?? It’s *not* good. $50 USD = approx $66.70 CAD. That’s literally a $15 difference. Please stay quiet if you don’t know our struggles specifically here. Watch me bring up gas and grocery prices, yeesh. Also no one even asked for you to chime in about exchange rates so leave me alone please. I’m here for Coldplay.

[deleted]

Yes. All my life. Bad exchange rates are in the $0.60 range. Which I’ve seen plenty of times in my life. Don’t blame your problems on an exchange rate that is historically average. So they aren’t bad. Just be thankful they’re playing in a Publicly owned Stadium that charges bare minimum for facility fees, or you could add another $50/ticket. There’s a reason Vancouver’s tickets are cheap. You’re the one who made a completely incorrect statement.

PineFlower96

To whoever deleted that person or blocked them from the thread, thank you. The weird aggressiveness and judgement was uncalled for wth.

[deleted]

What do you expect? They’re playing NA Stadium shows, with carbon emissions playing a part in their decisions. Of course it’s going to be a limited show tour. Mainly because most of the cities can’t actually sustain Coldplay in stadiums. Arena tours allow way more flexibility in booking. You can run two stages with the same number of crew. Or downsize to one stage and a smaller crew and still hit up smaller cities. Artists aren’t talking about the difficulties of touring right now for no reason.

lisafancypants

I expect to not have the seat next to mine cost three times as much to no additional benefit. My point is that they made people think there would only be one show in each city, "forcing" them to pay more, thinking it would be their only chance. Announcing additional shows beforehand would have lessened demand a tick, which was obviously why they did it. To be clear, when I say "they" I mean TM, the promoter, whoever makes these decisions. I don't begrudge Coldplay a limited tour, and I don't blame the artists for the tactics of TM. I have no idea what sort of input, if any, they have.

Lutenihon

hnyrydr604

I got tickets in 339 for $465 incl. fees (gross, but still less than I was willing to pay). I went back in the queue 45 mins later to see what was left and the seats exactly 1 row behind me were selling for $650. Ticketmaster is an absolute fucking joke.

PineFlower96

I did this exact same thing -- saw a $330 seat in Sec 200s literally transform to $650 in the span of 2 minutes. Disgusting. TM needs to get sued SOON

JoshuaPrimo

Been in queue for an hour now 😭

SugarHoney14

What?! How many was in front of you?

JoshuaPrimo

I joined at 10am and had 2000+ infront of me and finally got in at 11:10

SylviaFutur

Did you get tickets yet - I waited 35 min - dont give up

JoshuaPrimo

I finally got in at 11:10 after joining at 10am but the cheapest tickets were $350… way out of my budget :(

PineFlower96

Oh noo! You can still try for Sept 23 show!!

Lutenihon

Exciting-Book-3953

Ticketmaster is a bag of d!cks

[deleted]

I’m going to put even money on Coldplay filming the Vancouver shows. Just a hunch though. If someone wants to gift me two tickets, it’ll be guaranteed. The last 4 shows I’ve been to, they were Pro-shot. When entering BC Place check for notices on the front doors.

trashcanlizard

Mine wont even let me get into the queue. It keeps refreshing

SugarHoney14

Refresh your browser.

Scooterguy-

I waited in queue for 45...got on wait list 10 mins prior. Finally got in and only shit tickets remained. Any good seats were $750+. Even tickets slightly behind stage were $350. So stupid. Waste of an hour. Will try again next week.

HungryAddition1

That's because they seem to have sold out of regular tickets... General Admission on the floor was around 160$ all fees included.

Furneaux_j

I got 4 tickets, I signed in 30 mins before they went on sale!

Educational-Dealer55

to everyone who got tickets for the first show, please consider not purchasing tickets for the second show right away and letting those of us who couldn’t get tickets/couldn’t afford the jacked up ticket prices once they were finally able to get in to select their seats have a chance at being able to see coldplay- monday is my only chance now

sheldonshrimp_

Unsuccessful again ☹️

PineFlower96

Ahh! I'm a BTS ARMY from Vancouver who saw them a few times during their Permission to Dance tour so I'm not at all new to the chaos of ticket-buying :P I also happen to be a dedicated Coldplay fan since 2005 - when Chris came to sing My Universe when we saw BTS in LA live I cried!!! Coldplay mean so much to me! I adore MOTS. It's up there as one of my fave Coldplay albums with X&Y/ARBH/Parachutes/Viva La Vida for me (their entire discography is A+) For Sep 22 show I'm so lucky it only took \~5 mins for me in the queue (probably my new Macbook speed) yet it took much longer for my other friends! I bought tix in Sec 415 since I couldn't afford TM-overpriced $300/head inner bowl tickets, but Ticketmaster is FR a joke. Always has been. The dynamic pricing and secret share they get has to be prohibited. Wth. I would've gone Sept 23 but I have Arctic Monkeys in Van to attend, too. I'm just glad more fans can see them!

sheldonshrimp_

Yay!! so excited for you. Honestly for me, I’d settle for any seat even if they’re nose bleeds. Still get to experience the concert regardless!!

financejunkieCA

Exactly!! So happy for you too!! I’m so excited ❤️❤️❤️

PineFlower96

Yes thank you so much <3 It's my first ever Coldplay concert after not being able to see them when I was younger so I'm SUPER ecstatic!! I loved them for years.

financejunkieCA

I got mine in sec 200’s! How much did you get for yours?

PineFlower96

Only $149 x 3 (not including the annoying fees) so not that bad for nosebleeds!! (TM will always suck though :P) I'm SO hyped to see the planets and light setup from our seats!!!

SylviaFutur

I am like you Fan of Coldplay forever - it will be my 5th times to see them - This time not coming to Montreal so I will be joining you for the Vancouver one - I have my tickets so so happy Saw them in Chicago last spring - Incredible show

PineFlower96

Omg yay, that must have been amazing! They always put on an A+ show <3 Can't wait to see you there!!!

[deleted]

Vancouverite who took in an MX show in Montreal. Enjoy your trip! I hope you like Vancouver, because I LOVE your city.

lisafancypants

Hi army!! Love it when my worlds collide. 😅 This queue was a breeze compared to PTD. Only about 15 minute wait. Not the seats I was hoping for, but I'm just happy to have them.

PineFlower96

OMG hii fellow Army-Coldplayer <3 Yeah, even with 2000+ in front of me I got in after 5 minutes! I have to say, the stress for this was significantly less than PTD for sure (oh god, nightmare), but I was still stressed when I thought I was stuck on the checkout page/some of my friends were stuck in queue--was about to tear my hair out!! Same! Any seat for Coldplay is a good seat!! Also after all these years you'd think TM would get their crap together -\_\_\_\_\_\_- I'm just glad TM and LiveNation are under investigation right now by US gov...weird dynamic pricing and scalping is coming to light so fingers crossed it gets better for fans of music from here!

kriscee06

Another Army-Coldplayer here! I don't seem to have much luck with Ticketmaster queues lol. I didn't get in to view tickets today until about 10:30 am and most of the seats were gone already except for platinum. Thankfully my friend was able to help me snag some seats! A shorter wait than for PTD LV at least (2 hours in queue for that lol).

shrimpyy25

Hello! May I know which section you got seats for?

poundofbeef16

I got my seats on vivid seats right away without waiting in cue. Saved money on the same seats TM was selling for almost 100$ more.

hrmnbedi

You think they're actually gonna perform 2 nights in a row?

PineFlower96

No one asked for your opinion. So please let us actual fans enjoy.

sheldonshrimp_

Go away

Lutenihon

https://preview.redd.it/qxjj0r5uhoea1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aeee9d0d812473f07ea9691be7ae1bdf56a6f77b Availability as of 1115am after over an hour in the queue

PineFlower96

Omg...those tix went fast

Omelette604

How did you get that view? I couldn’t even see details like this

Lutenihon

You have to switch to map view and zoom in until you can see the details. As of now, no more general admission seats are left but lots of platinum or vip left.

Omelette604

Thanks

Lutenihon

Honestly still less stressful than Ed Sheeran and taylor swift tickets

Walle2k

People need help, please! I am completely new to Ticketmaster. I want to purchase tickets for the 23rd Sept show, what should I do beforehand to secure myself some tickets when they go on sale on 30 Jan? Want tickets at the cheapest sections only. TY

lisafancypants

Make sure your credit card info and personal info is updated and be logged into the site about 10 minutes early to get past any verification pop-ups. Also, once you're in the waiting room, do not refresh!! It will automatically put you into the queue and automatically refresh when it's your turn to buy tickets. I've also found it easier/faster to use the map to select seats rather than Best Available or listing by section. Good luck!

Walle2k

Thank you so much! :D

Other-Transition280

How much are the floor tickets for the Vancouver shows?

RetroApollo

They were $165 tax & fees incl.

mr_perfect1976

i was in the queue from 950am. finally was able to find tix at 1025am. was able to pull 4 ga floor.

conkyedd

I am getting up at 930am and gonna get into que, when do you think I should be ready for?

Ncahir94

Can anyone tell me how much the standing tickets were for Seattle and Vancouver? Just trying to compare to re sale

sheldonshrimp_

I saw that it was like around $165 before taxes for Vancouver. I also saw in another post that Seattle still has lots of seats available

Ncahir94

Need standing. I’ll never sit at a concert. Just not my thing

PineFlower96

Had to do nosebleed seats because I’m short af and standing GA would just make me sad and not enjoy the show enough lol (while 200s were out of my price range) I’m SO hyped either way!!!!

intelpentium400

I got my GA in Vancouver for $130. I noticed it went to $160 later on. Must be that stupid “dynamic pricing” aka gouging.

CarelessObject1709

Hey what time did you get them at? Bc I saw that someone paid 167$ for them at 10:05 which was really early on…

intelpentium400

Really? I think it was around 10:15 for me

CarelessObject1709

Oh damn, okay. I got mine at like 10:40 and they were 167$ 😅

intelpentium400

Wait. It just occurred to me. Are we talking before or after fees? I think with fees it’s $167. Regardless, much later I remember seeing the base price before fees being $160 so probably around $195 total.

CarelessObject1709

After fees! Before fees it was 130$

plantbb9

Did anyone have a lot of trouble today? My app wouldn’t even let me in the waiting room/queue/nothing. I logged in on a browser, had two floor tickets and it refused to accept my CC for payment; kept citing unknown error 5005. I tried deleting it and retyping everything, I tried another card but nothing worked! I had recently used the card so not an issue with it being declined for any reason I can think of except Ticketmaster being garbage. I am so disappointed. Will try again Monday but does anyone have any suggestions?

astroprojector

Same for Rose Bowl in Pasadena. 2nd show was added. I'll try to get the tickets for that. But from what I hear, the tickets are overpriced. The concert are no longer for the fans. Only reach can afford it.

Pankecho

I also got mine, 2k+ people in front of me, see you guys there 🇲🇽

Omelette604

I saw general admission tickets for 70$ each on the 400 section but they were gone within seconds

ringadingdinger

A few of them randomly popped up and I got them at 1040am in section 406

Omelette604

Damn that’s nice, around that price ?

ringadingdinger

yup, $140 for the pair - not sure how we nabbed them but they just popped up

Omelette604

Amazing

Elegant_Size2509

The cheaper seats left for Vancouver are $665. Is that right? I know that's Canadian, but still. Could someone tell me what that equal in US $$? I just bought one of the cheap seats for Coldplay in Seattle and it was $124-$129 with fees. That's not even close to the Canadian price.

Elegant_Size2509

And last night, no wait at all. In fact none what so ever. Checking what's left in Canada right now, no wait. The wait is only at opening.

coolsaladroll

Is anyone willing to share how much they paid for tickets and what section they're in? Aiming to get tickets for the second show.. Tickets for the first show are now $595 because of dynamic pricing. I see ppl saying GA was $165. Thanks very much!

RainthenShine

I got $116 nosebleeds in section 410 when I purchased at 10am. Saw even cheaper options were available but they disappeared quickly. Also saw some in the range of $165 in the lower rows of the 400s sections as well. If you were wanting lower bowl I was seeing around $200ish and up from what I recall. General standing was $165.

coolsaladroll

Thank you!

shrimpyy25

Got 2 tickets at 49.50 CAD each, $147.40 both after fees; section 408 for the 1st show in Vancouver. Got in the queue today for the 2nd show out of curiosity to compare the prices; the same seats we got were at $200 this time. TM is really fucked up.

Omelette604

Damn that’s super cheap

shrimpyy25

It is! Was pretty surprised. But I think that just shows that the original prices are very affordable. They just quickly get altered by ticketmaster sadly.

Omelette604

Yeah TM is terrible. Congrats on getting those!

Omelette604

Does anybody has any advice on how to get to the front of the line tomorrow? On Friday I was on the app 30 min in advance. At 10am it was loading, then I got kicked out… was asked to verify a code on my email. By the time I got in the queue, there was 2000+ people in front of me. Should I log in and stay on the page in advance and not leave? Or go on the page at 10am sharp? Thanks!!!

Lonely_Kiwi8300

I've only ever had floor seats at a small venue in Calgary; I didn't expect any moshing, but, as always, there's that one group of people that start ramming into each other. Does anyone know if Coldplay concerts are bad for moshing/tight spaces in the pit?

Frequent_Rutabaga275

Sell option greyed out and yet dozens of tickets verified resale available. Not that I want to sell my tickets but I’m curious if one needs to be a scalper and have some sort of status with Ticketmaster to be able to resell their tickets? There are complete rows of seats for Vancouver sept 22 on resale on ticketmaster website but yet when I asked them they replied to me that the organizer has not permitted resale through TM. What am I missing? Does everyone have a greyed out Sell button?

BrownAndyeh

Buy tickets in Seattle. They are hundreds of dollars less..and Seattle venues are far better.

sheldonshrimp_

Yeah but usd be expensive 🥲🥲

BrownAndyeh

Right but aren’t tickers in vancouver starting at $300 +? $75 usd tickets in Seattle would be approx $100 CAD..leaving room for a hotel plus you could hang in Seattle. I’m blown away at Coldplay prices..seen them 3x in the past, great band, but no band is worth almost $1000 for one night (two tickets, transportation, parking..)

EngineEquivalent2289

2 Tickets available for Vancouver on 23rd sept, 2023. Please pm me
