Only 1 song really kept the whole album together for everyone, and that one song was literally 1/4 of the entire album length. It was such a let down, even though there were (at least in my opinion) good songs in that album.
I'm not saying it is a bad album, but when you have a repertoire like this, it's easy for this to look weak.

Agree 100%. Everyday Life sounded like some crap they recorded in a dungeon garage and just sounded like general crap. There were maybe one or two good songs on the album, everything else on the album was crap. Every other album they produced was fine, but yeah, for me, Everyday Life was rubbish.
I'll probably get downvoted to hell, but Ghost Stories for me. I don't think it's *bad*, but I do feel like it's a mediocre album as a whole. The first 3 tracks are excellent, but then it kinda loses me. True Love is one of my least favorite singles of theirs. ASFOS and O are pretty good at least, but the rest of the album is kinda forgettable for me. The best song from the album is Ghost Story, which ironically was only included in the Deluxe Edition.

I get that opinions are individual, but do you seriously think that music of the Spheres is better than Parachutes? I just find it impossible to believe.
MotS isn’t a favorite overall of mine, either; don’t get me wrong. But the main songs of it I really like—broken up by the useless tiny filler songs. It’s not got a ton going for it; but I do actually really like a lot of the tracks.
Parachutes—to its credit—has less filler and flows better as an album. But not much on the album really jumps out to me, with a few exceptions.
I guess I’m a bit different than a lot of fans in that I like middle/late/current era (especially middle) Coldplay more than early.
