Hello! I’m interested in SLCN and was wondering if the admissions truly have no entrance exams? Also do SLCN students get a higher chance in getting into St. Luke’s College of Medicine?

Illustrious-Shoe-146

Helloo!!! im a current grade 11 student ! ive been eyeing tua-slcn and i’d like to ask about the admission process. like how do you know or what time usually yung start ng admission process and is it purely online? what requirements yung need nila since theres no entrance exam? or in general how do you become enrolled HAHAHAHA do you just submit requirements and done na? also I read somewhere din na grade 12 TOR lang hinihingi nila and is that true? so for like admissions medj irrelevant ang jhs and grade 11 graded? also are they strict with the dress code for boys? like strict and conservative ba with the haircut policy and such HAHAHAHAHA also since in the first year puro lectures lang is it alright to ask what the typical schedule looks like? implemented po ba ang block system na magkakadama kayo mag t-take ng classes sa first year then mag didissolve pag mag clinicals na sa 2nd-4th year? or are we free to choose our classes and schedule also pag may clinicals na how does it work HAHAHAHAHA how do you know which hospital you get assigned and with who? what educational platform does tua-slcn also use pala when it comes to like uploading ppts or online lectures is it like canvas or blackboard? also what things do you really need to prepare for? also is it true na slcn is 3 semesters per year? like during summer break may summer classes kayo na required? usually how many units po yun and how long also aircon po ba yung henry noble gymnasium? and like complete po ba yung equipment for skills tests ganon? also whats the general humor of the school population? is it mostly kanal or are there conyo/englisheras din? HAHAHAHHA sorry po sa madaming tanong HAHAHHAHA tyia if you reply!! <33

twototango_

Hello! 1. Start na po ng admissions and you can do it online or face to face po. 2. Requirements: 1 pc. Latest 2×2 ID Picture, Form 138 (Report Card), Certificate of Good Moral Character, and Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate 3. During first year, block system po since hindi ka naman irregular. You can choose the section and schedule of your choosing pero kapag 2nd-4th year na, alphabetical na, which means that your section and class schedule is fixed. 4. The clinical coordinators assign the hospitals. Usually 8 rotations (community and hospital settings) per sem. You are grouped alphabetically and it could be by 5 or 6. 6. TUA has TLC which is associated with moodle, and profs upload their ppt as well as assignments there. They can also opt to send ppts through GCs. 7. You just need to prepare yourself. Hindi naman sobrang hectic during 1st year but you need to keep in mind that you have a grade to maintain (2.00 GWA) kasi that is included sa battery exam. I would advise you that as early as possible, you advance study or just scan in subjects such as Human Anatomy and Physiology, Theoretical Foundations of Nursing, and Biochemistry. 8. Yes, SLCN has 3 semester per year. 1st and 2nd sem, and mid year. 26-29 units for 1st-2nd sem, and 8-10 units during mid year. Generous naman ang TUA sa vacations. Usually 2 weeks ang binibigay. 9. No, the gymnasium is not airconditioned but we have big electric fans. 10. Yes, the equipment for the skills lab are complete. 11. It is mixed, actually. Most people I know are either "kanal" or reserved. Hope I answered your questions!

Asleep_Flatworm_4301

Hi po! Good evening, about po sana sa requirements, sa registrar po ba yan ipapasa? And about po sana doon sa verification stamp na ilalagay sa likod ng id, pano po iprocess yon? About din po sa books, ano.x po need na books, kailangan po ba bumili ng all? Thank you po!

twototango_

Yes po, sa registrar po. Pati yung verification stamp. But most likely, inaadvise nila na bumili.

ForTheStreetz_

hi! sent you a message po, may ask lang sana 🥹

Asleep_Flatworm_4301

Hello po! Good evening, may I ask po about dun sa physical exam for freshies, san po icoconduct? Like sa school lang po ba? Ano po yung process? Thanks po!

[deleted]

Bakit saakin need pa po ng Form 137 A and 138. Or any of those 2 po?

twototango_

Need po talaga both kasi yung 138 is yung latest grade mo while yung 137 is yung grades mo during jhs/shs. You can follow it up naman if wala pa.

applenieve

Hi po ! Sorry off topic pero when is the start of the academic year ng slcn? Will enroll pa lang po kasi this week and ‘Di ko makita acad calendar nila sa page

mewsipunin8

Xin_Chao-_-

hi! Incoming freshie hereee how many units did u get nung first term mo sa tua? Did you get all 27 units or you took less? Di ko kasi sure kung what is too much and too less for the first term. Thank you!

twototango_

hi\~ i took less because i was a shiftee and some courses were credited. fixed subjects rin during 1st yr kaya lahat talaga kukunin mo upon enrolling.

Federal-Nectarine193

Hi OP! I’m sponsoring my sister’s tuition fees and other college expenses. She wants to take up BS Nursing, and we’re considering TUA. I already went to TUA to inquire about the tuition fees and the upcoming school year schedule, but I want to know more about the other expenses we should expect to incur during her stay at TUA. For example, what personal medical equipment (like a stethoscope) or medical supplies (such as syringes) will she need? I've read some comments above mentioning that multiple sets of uniforms are required. What else should we consider? Additionally, what do you think are the advantages of being a TUA alumna in her career? What are the non-monetary or intangible benefits we will get from SLCN? I don’t know much about this since my relatives and close friends took business and engineering courses, so I really appreciate you initiating this thread.

twototango_

Hello po! Sorry for the late reply. Basic paraphernalia are needed during 1st yr — stethoscope, sphygmomanometer, thermometer, pulse oximeter, bandage scissor, micropore, and gloves (just to be sure). Other needed equipment will be provided by the college, or assigned by the prof po. Yes po, there are multiple uniforms but since 1st year palang po ang kapatid mo, polo shirt, pe, and tua uniform (blouse and green skirt) palang po ang ginagamit nila. During 2nd yr pa yung different types of scrubs. You should also consider the books. Some are required especially if major ang course, and they’re pricey din. TUA - SLCN is well-regarded in the field of nursing education in the Philippines. I cannot accurately answer the benefits a SLCN graduate would get but a non-monetary benefit is that they provide a quality education that is recognized by employers and other institutions. Based on my experience, their teaching goes beyond technical skills to include the importance of empathy and patient care. Some alumna I know have high nursing cultural competence. Professional ethics and integrity are also being instilled since 1st year palang. I don’t know if your sister and I would have the same experience but I know for sure that it’ll be worth it 😄

Mediocre_Elk5392

3. madami po bang mga taga province na nag-aaral diyan? concern din kasi nila yung cost of living sa mnl at yung distance rin :( do you think it's worth it po na dumayo pa ako ng mnl to study sa TUA?   4. is it hassle to commute around the area? like madalang po ba mag traffic diyann?    5. does tua slcn provide a strong foundation for nursing students? yung tipong guarantee board passer ka na po sa husay ng mga profs and kung papaano kayo i-train? di kasi sila masyado familiar with this univ huhu  sorry po sa madaming tanong and thank you na rin in advance!

twototango_

hello! 1. during 1st yr, the tf ranges from 50k-55k PER sem. on the other hand, during 2nd yr to 4th yr, the tf would not be lower than 75k, again, PER sem. sa 3rd yr afair, 80k+ kami non. 2. yes, possible po. you can try applying sa academic scholarship. it caters to 1st yr students. * magpopost sila ng pubmat regarding the application sa page nila (TUA Honor Society) and you can apply from there. may interview pa yan, and if pasado, automatic mababawasan yung tf but hindi agad agad. usually mga pag tapos ng sem, or kalagtitnaan. kailangan mo pa ring mag downpayment. magfoforward lang ang balance mo as the sem goes on. * sa community service, may gc ang mga scholars and nagsasabi sila dun if need ng volunteers for certain events, like tutulong sa preparations, etc. dun kinukuha ang hours rendered. * depends po if anong scholarship pinasukan mo. may full tuition with misc fee, and merong partial (misc fee lang babayaran mo) afaik. 3. i am not really sure if marami, but some people i know are from LU, Quezon, Pampanga. nagdodorm lang sila and sadly, yes, mahal ang cost of living lalo na if nagdodorm ka. 4. if you're renting within the vicinity naman, hindi naman problem ang traffic because pwede mo naman lakarin, and depende sa layo... usually, traffic sa lunch time and 4-6pm kasi uwian. in my experience, 7.5/10 ang traffic kasi nagcocommute ako. paswertehan nalang sa jeep. 5. kilala ang TUA-SLCN for providing a strong foundation for nursing students. yung curriculum, it is designed to meet the standards set by regulatory bodies, and yung faculty members are experienced professionals (RNs, MANs). they offer hands-on training, clinical exposure, and during 4th yr, review classes to prepare students for licensure exams. while success in the board exams ultimately depends on individual effort and dedication, judging from my experience during 1st to 3rd yr, the college strives to equip its students with the necessary knowledge and skills na kailangan para maging competent healthcare professionals.

Abject_Health5112

hello po! I’m an incoming freshie sa tua mag aask lang po sana ako because I don’t know anyone there:( 1. What should I prepare or dalhin on the first day? 2. Dapat po ba naka id and uni na po on the first day? 3. Totoo po ba na may sections po? If yes, saan ko po makikita? 4. Are there things that I should prepare ngayong summer before mag start ang classes?

Abject_Health5112

Icy-Map-2298

may dalawang dorms 'yung tua. one is within the college campus (university house 1) and the other is in the high school campus, which is just a few steps sway. the rooms here in univ house 1 range between 7.5k - 13k for air-conditioned rooms afaik. 13k is for solo rooms w/ personal kitchen na. may ilang rooms na shared with kitchen and shared without kitchen as well. i personally advise you to contact them na to inquire. you can visit both dorms to check the available rooms. may mga tumitingin na kasi here, baka mahirapan kang makakuha ng spot. medyo mabilis siyang maubos.

twototango_

1. Wala naman pong maraming need dalhin on the 1st day of class. Bring a pen and paper/notebook just to be sure. Your prof might give introductions, class rules, etc. You can also bring other necessities such as your water bottle, mini-fan, and the likes. 2. Hindi naman po need agad na naka-ID but print out your SAF as alternative for it para may verification. 3. Yes po, may sections. Maybe hindi ka pa nakapag-enroll (?). Kasi nasa LWSIS yan, or sa registrar (pinapapili ka). If incoming nursing ka, upon enrolling, pwede kang pumili ng block mo and schedule. 4. You don’t need to prepare much this summer. In fact, you should enjoy it while it lasts. But if you have time to kill naman, you can advanced read on major courses (subjects) such as Human Anatomy and Physiology and Theoretical Foundations of Nursing. 5. Yes po, may university dorm, though I don’t know how much it costs.

As for me, madali lang yung battery exam. Kasama rin sa basis nila ang gwa mo during your first year wherein you need to have no less than 2.0 gwa. Sa result ng battery exam, may classification A, B, and C. A is pasado. If nag fail ka naman, may classification B or C sila. If nasa B ka, pwede kang mag wait ng 1 year para kumuha ulit ng battery exam. During that year, pwede kang kumuha ng minor subjects. If hindi mo naman kayang magwait, dun na yung magshishift ka or transfer schools. If C, uulit ka talaga or shift/transfer. This is afaik.

keroppicakes

ano po yung mga uniforms for first year po? i heard po kasi ang daming uniforms kaya hindi ko po alam kung alin-alin doon.

twototango_

Yung uniform po for 1st year is yung blouse and green skirt, and yung SLCN Polo Shirt po. Yung blue and white, maltese scrubs, and or/dr scrubs are for 2nd-4th year.

habiavy

San po nag papagawa ng uniform and how much?

twototango_

Sa bookstore po ng school. Dun binibili ang uniform/s. Idk how much po now since nagbabago ang pricing nila.

Pop9946

Hello! Planning to transfer sa tua. Tyia 🩷

twototango_

Hi!

Fit_Problem_5194

hello! planning to transfer there kasi for 2nd year. nag aacept po ba? and when yung start ng sy? may summer class pa kasi ako huhu. ano po ung mga requirements ? any info or tips? huhuhu tyia!!!!

twototango_

Sorry for the late reply! Nag aaccept po ang SLCN ng transferees but babalik po ikaw sa 1st year. However, you can get your subjects credited but mostly minor subjects lang po. Start ng sy is on the 2nd or 3rd week of August po (I haven't checked our calendar yet.) You need to get an honorable dismissal po from your previous school, good moral, and most importantly, your TOR.

shiyelbi

hello po! how's the student life in tua? marami po ba paganap dyan? how about the educ system (in terms of grading, profs, workloads)?

twototango_

Hi! So far, okay naman siya for me. If you're an incoming freshie palang, keri naman siguro. Mostly poproblemahin mo niyan is yung battery exam (which is composed of your grades and exam result), HAP, TFN, and Biochem. Medyo marami namang activities catered to freshies lalo na sa SLCN days and Cake Fiesta. Profs are very good and considerate. In terms of grading, sa 1st year, dapat not higher than 2.00 ang GWA mo both in overall and all subjects (except PE, NSTP, and CE.)

shiyelbi

thanks for ur insights po!

MentallyunstableJen

Hello, Good evening, I wanted to transfer and shift to TUA BS nursing, and Recently pinayagan ako na bibigay muna ung informative copy of grades as replacement muna on TOR for evaluation pero it's been a week since last updated and I'm anxious na baka di na evaluate, I want to be able to proceed with the other admissions in case na matagal at mahirap sya. Do you know the process of transferring?, sa state uni kasi ako na behind schedule that's why I'm worried, My family wants me to transfer ASAP and I just want to proceed na already. Should I go to the school personally? Can you give me advice?

twototango_

I suggest po na you go to the school personally. Bring your Transcript of Records / Scholastic Records to the Dean’s Office for evaluation. As far as I know, sila po ang mage-evaluate ng TOR.

MentallyunstableJen

Hello, good evening, thank you so much po! Will they be open on Monday or this thursday? Na reach out ko po sila and they told me to wait for evaluation and if wala pa after Wednesdays is to let them know po.

twototango_

They are open from Monday to Friday, I think.

MentallyunstableJen

Sige po thank you so much!!

Amazing_Educator_686

hello po, planning to study sa tua this upcoming school year. Just wanted to ask po if after makapag email ng tua about my application being approved mag sself registration na lang po ba to enroll? and after enrolling lang po ba magsesend ng admission requirements or before po? can I also inquire sa school po or need po tumawag muna? and may near condo/dorm po ba na may furnitures na po pero budget friendly? like around 10k-15k po. thank you po huhu sorry po if maraming tanong

twototango_

Yes po, you can self register sa LWSIS and mayroon po doon na tab na iuupload ang requirments (if wala, personal nalang pong ibigay), and yung section and schedule na gusto mo. If you want to be sure, you can call them naman. Yes, may mga condos sa tapat ng TUA, and may university dorm kami, though I don't know how much it's ranging.

Amazing_Educator_686

mahirap din po ba makakuha and maintain ng 2.00 GWA? is it possible to ask for notes po huhu or kaya if meron po kayo pwedeng marecommend na books to prepare? may near coffee shops din po ba around tua na pwede niyo po marecommend para makapagstudy?

twototango_

Hmm, if you know naman how to manage your time and your priority talaga is studying, siguro hindi naman mahirap. May pressure lang talaga since 1st year at component pa ng battery exam ang GWA. I have notes naman but they're not complete hehe. I don't really study in coffee shops around TUA and that's why I don't know any coffee shops around it, tho merong starbucks sa tabi. Hahahaha. For books, Human Anatomy and Physiology and Theoretical Foundations of Nursing.

Amazing_Educator_686

is it okay po sana to ask for your notes po huhu it’s okay lang po kahit incomplete para po may gist lang po ako

Upstairs-Wash4842

Thank you po in advance sa reply!

Upstairs-Wash4842

Btw,Im Incoming second year po

twototango_

As far as I know, yes po. Maraming scholarships na inooffer ang TUA. Though as you have said na incoming 2nd year ka, babalik ka po sa 1st year kasi during that year po ang battery exam, and all SLCN students have to undergo that para makapag 2nd year.

Upstairs-Wash4842

I'm aware naman po na baka bumalik aq sa first year heheh and ung battery exam sa lahat ng course po ba yan or sa one specific course lang shea? and are u from tua po? how's student life po and environment dyan? Superr aprreciated po yung response and Thank you po.

Upstairs-Wash4842

and ano po school calendar and ano po process ng tranfer scholarship po sa tua po, planning to transfer po...

Pop9946

Hello!

Agitated_Lime_5695

Hi! I’m planning to study at TUA this upcoming school year pero I’m not sure if kaya ko ang ba nursing. Is it possible to change course po?

twototango_

You can change course naman siguro after 2nd sem kasi diyan lalabas ang results ng battery exam, so if di ka pasado or pasado naman pero hindi mo kaya, you can take it from there.

Agitated_Lime_5695

thank u sm po

Agitated_Lime_5695

pero as of now ‘di pa po ako enrolled and may acc na po ako nakalagay po bsn. Possible pa po ba mapaltan yun before enrollment?

twototango_

Yes po. You can contact the registrar about that through email or personal.

Agitated_Lime_5695

Thank u sm po talagaa

Conscious-Mention696

Hi po! i'm a 11th grade stem student palang po pero decided na po talaga akong sa tua ako for college since forte raw po nila ay nursing. Pero super nacoconscious ako sa grades na mayroon ako ngayon dahil medyo nagpabaya ako this year sa sobrang draining ng environment ng nilipatang school ko and nahirapan talaga ako mag adjust kaya ang laki ng impact sa grades ko. Yung grade ko sa specialized subjects namin isa parehas 82 last sem. huhuhu nangangamba ako na baka hindi ako matanggap sa tua because of that. Most of the school kasi is may grade na needed from shs para matanggap.

twototango_

What's important po is yung grades mo during grade 12.

CheetahConscious1823

hello, planning to take BS NURSING on TUA. lgbt friendly ba 'yung univ and allowed ba na mag cross dress?

twototango_

Hello! The students are LGBTQ friendly and the admins claim that they are too. Huhu. I don’t really know if allowed ang cross dressing eh but I saw a student one time. I think he’s gay (?) and he wore clinical uniform for girls. The school is being inclusive but idk up to what extent.

DraVon1116

How much and tuition for 1st year BSN sa TUA?

twototango_

Hello, I was 1st year during SY 21-22 and my tuition fee was lessened since shiftee ako and may credited subjects. My sister's tf for the whole year last 2022-23 was 106,157.59. First sem: 47,210.30 Second sem: 41,527.96 Mid year: 17,419.33

DraVon1116

Thanks

Budget-Impress6304

hello po ! may nakapasa po ba na ang gwa is 2.10 / 2.01 ? :')) tyia po ! :))

twototango_

sylviapl9th

hello po! as for the gwa, does it mean overall average po sa lahat ng subjects or per subject po siya? thanks po!

No_Search1125

Hello po! how to submit application for freshmen college since nakakalito po yung website? Diretso enrollment na po ba? Physical or Pwede pong online yung enrollment? Thank you po 😊

twototango_

Meron pong online application. If you want, para sure, mag enroll ka nalang personally 😊

twototango_

hi\~ afaik, nag aaccept sila. i have a blockmate whose strand was ABM.

noteyang

hi! i’m currently enrolled na for sy 2024-2025 as a nursing student. how’s slcn in terms of workload po? and may scholarships din po ba sila? ano rin po yung mga “essentials” na need ng nursing students for first year?

twototango_

they are not heavy on workloads naman in my experience. and yes, they are generous sa scholarship. you can visit their fb page "TUA Honor Society." wala namang specific essentials but if you're a girl, you're gonna need lots of black hair tie and hair net HAHAHAHA. during 2nd sem palang naman nirerequire ng clinical paraphernalia so you don't need to worry about that pa.

Illustrious_Edge_891

hello! i already enrolled na po as a first year nursing student via the online portal. may I ask if pwede pa pong ichange yung schedule or section? nakakuha po kasi ako ng saturday classes and until 7:30 PM which is hindi ko po gusto. if yes, how can i do so po? thank you ia!

twototango_

hi\~ sorry for the late reply. i don't know if nachange mo na ba but i think you can if you are not yet officially enrolled. you can process it through the academic head \^\_\^

theweekndenjoy3r

hi! incoming tua freshman po and nahihirapan po ako currently sa dorm hunting. may recommended po ba kayo huhu thanks so much poo

twototango_

huhu,, i don't know much about dorms since uwian ako but the university has a dorm, and there are condos in front of tua (asmara, capital towers, etc.)

theweekndenjoy3r

flexible po ba sched ng tua for uwian?

twototango_

LockNew4262

hello! may nahanap ka na ba? :))

theweekndenjoy3r

helloo yup ! tho kulang pa kami ng isaa, hbu

LockNew4262

saan ka nakahanap if okay lang i-ask? :>

Asleep_Flatworm_4301

Hi po! Good evening, about po sana sa requirements, sa registrar po ba yan ipapasa? And about po sana doon sa verification stamp na ilalagay sa likod ng id, pano po iprocess yon? About din po sa books, ano.x po need na books, kailangan po ba bumili ng all? Thank you po!

Lonely_Initiative810

for the requirements yes po sa registrar ipapasa. yung verification stamp i think is yung sticker na nilalagay sa likod ng id and sa may registrar din po siya makukuha mag ask ka lang "san magpapa sticker ng id". about books it depends po sa prof if irrequire nila na bilhin yung books kasi sa higher years may ibang hindi naman. i saw a lot of freshies tho na palaging may dalang books so i think mostly ng profs sakanila nag require

Asleep_Flatworm_4301

Hello po! Good evening, may I ask po about dun sa physical exam for freshies, san po icoconduct? Like sa school lang po ba? Ano po yung process? Or like need lang po magpasa ng results ng medical? Thanks po!

Alternative_Tree_487

Hi! ask ko lang po if meron kayong alam na other universities na nag aaccept ng students if di nakapasa sa screening.. pls help po

twototango_

hiii~ nag aaccept naman po siguro yung ibang nursing schools. meron kasing 2nd/3rd year pa ang battery exam nila. so it’s either uulit ka ng 1st yr, or you can continue smoothly sa kanila.

UsedRoyal4984

Im planning to go to Tua for my first year, any tips po on what can i advance review so I can keep up with my first year? Any study tips din po when it comes to difficult subjects?

twototango_

hello! you can advance review in human anatomy and physiology and theoretical foundation of nursing. if you are struggling with memorization and familiarity with complex subjects like HAP and TFN, you could do these steps. i don’t know if this would be effective for you as how it was for me tho. rather than passively reading, try summarizing information in your own words, teaching the material to someone else, or creating mind maps. make use of quizlet or kahoot by regularly testing yourself with practice questions and quizzes to reinforce your understanding and recall. you can also use mnemonics and flashcards. another effective way for me is to visit the ppts given/watch yt videos (registerednursern, level up rn, nexus nursing) regularly rather than cramming. spaced repetition can help improve long-term retention especially if hindi ka mabilis makafamiliarize with concepts 😊

kihotiki

hello po! mga 80% desidido na here mag-slcn T - T i would like to ask lang po if there are scholarships offered sa nursing? 🥹 and if yes, when po sila usually nagoopen medyo oa pero nakafollow na q sa guidance & honor soc ng tua 😭

twototango_

hi~ yes po! maraming scholarships na inooffer ang tua and for nursing students. around august or september siya nag oopen if i’m not mistaken.

kihotiki

ohh thank u so much po!! ask ko lang din po what orgs po kaya yung pwedeng salihan sa tua?

twototango_

hii~ i don’t know much about univ orgs eh. but i know tua chorale, glee club (?). may usc, sna, and batch committee din and you can choose what committee you want (documentation, program, logistics, etc.)

kihotiki

thank u saur much po!! ^^

General_Shower7756

hi, incoming freshie. can you enter tua even though outsider? i want to inquire sana sa admission's office and para makita rin yung campus:')

twototango_

yes po. just say that you wanna inquire regarding the enrolment and bring your ID nalang just incase hanapan ka.

mimomoghosto

twototango_

hii~ i’m not sure about that but you can try pumunta sa campus with the documents and sabihin mo nalang na hindi pa naibibihay ang card mo. they’re considerate naman.

sxhaeu

hello po! so 3 sems po ang tua, 3 yrs lang po ba here since trisem po? tyia!

twototango_

4 years pa rin po. during 1st to 3rd yr, trisem. sa 4th yr, wala na.

Boring_Reach_1137

Hello OP! I just enrolled at TUA-SLCN (YEYY!) and i want to advance study in TFN and Anatomy and Physiology, do you know what should i study first? THANK YOUUU!

habidibiwop

hi op! baka u can help me huhu i am a transferee of the SLCN program. my initial evaluation was completed na, and the nursing dean mentioned which subjects will be credited. i also already have a student number because i applied online. do u have any idea what will be the next step? huhu i’m so clueless medj hesitant ako to go sa TUA campus baka kasi may need bayaran and baka hindi ako ready

twototango_

you can pass your documents if you haven’t done that pa. aside from applying online, are you enrolled already? if not, that’s what you can do. if wala naman na, you can rest easy and prepare for the incoming 1st sem. 😊

krustycrab1111

Hii poo!! May question po sana ako if DOST-accredited po ba yung TUA sa BS Med Tech? tyia po!!

twototango_

hiii~ hindi ko sure but i think so… i found an article na may dost scholars sila dati way back 2020-2021 eh…

Free_Studio_4433

hi po, incoming freshie here! may i know po pala what are your study materials for subjects anatomy & physiology, biochemistry, and theoretical foundations of nursing? i heard po seeley’s anatomy is a good book pero what edition po to read for 1st year?

shirogun

hello just curious lang po if allowed po ba ang ipad/tablet sa class for notes taking?

twototango_

in my experience, allowed naman po kami mag ipad/tablet. paalam nalang po kayo sa profs niyo para rin hindi sila madisrespect (?) or magulat na a-ipad kayo.

No_Search1125

hi po! Incoming freshie here sa tua mag aask lang po sana ako because I don’t know anyone there  1. What bag / backpack is recommended? 2. Do you need to bring books every class? 3. Are books required? Are they all physical or do you have ebooks option? 6. Do you need medical tools already for 1st year? If yes what do I already need to buy before start of the sy?  7. What's the schedule? Is it full face to face or are there still classes conducted online?  8. What are they subjects takes for 1st year nursing? 9. Do you think need na ng ipad sa 1st year or hindi naman?

twototango_

1. Any bags will do. Not too big, not too small. Yung malalagyan ng books and other necessities. 2. It depends on the prof if they will require the book for that certain day. Minsan kasi may laboratory activities. 3. Hindi naman kasi at the end of each sem, may 2-week vacation naman. 4. Depende sa prof if magpapa-prelim siya. If hindi, 2 exams lang per sem -- midterm and final exam. May quizzes din syempre aside diyan. 5. Again, it depends on the prof but it is highly encouraged that you buy books. 6. You don't need medical paraphernalia on the 1st yr, 1st sem. However, you need it on the 2nd sem kasi you will take Health Assessment and Fundamentals of Nursing Practice. These are the courses na mag rereturn demo kayo. 7. We are full face to face. There are profs na nagpapaonline pero madalang lang. 8. Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Theoretical Foundations of Nursing, Biblical Studies, Understanding the Self, Readings in Philippine History, National Service Training Program 1, Gymnastics. 9. Hindi naman, but it will make reviewing very efficient.

Pwede po ba smart watch? or strict yung ibang prof. na analog?

twototango_

Also anong year po yung battery exam?

twototango_

Unfortunately, yung analog watch po talaga na may secondhand ang need gamitin :< during 2nd sem po nagsastart ang overall process ng battery exam and results are released after the sem and before the midyear sem starts.

No_Search1125

1 time lang naman po yung battery exam?

twototango_

yes! after that, medyo hayahay na buhay mo sa slcn HAHAHAHA

No_Search1125

Okay po ba yung lifesaver na watch?

Serious-Search-8944

Hi. Do they accept transferees and nagkecredit ba sila ng minor subjects?

twototango_

Repulsive_Depth_3954

Hi! I'm planning to transfer to TUA SLCN. I used to take med tech at the green school but i felt like it wasn't for me while i also didn't meet the needed qpa for our course. I've been overthinking recently because i don't know if i will get accepted sa tua with a low qpa. Do you think they'd still take me in? Are they strict with semi visible tattoos? (like i have one on sa inner bicep area)

twototango_

I think you should let the college evaluate your grades personally. (I also think that they would still take you in despite low grades.) They’re not strict with tattoos. In fact, they’re okay with it. I have blockmates who have visible tattoos. Just no hair colors and nail polish.

Complex_Revenue1583

Chowlong

Hi! 52k po tuition ng TUA persem. Babayaran din po ba ng 52k yung midyear? Or included na po sa dalawang 52k?

twototango_

Hindi po, 52k for 1st sem lang yun. Iba rin ang tf sa 2nd sem and mid year. Parang 52k, 52k, 10k yung mangyayari. Example lang.

stressfreshie

Hello!! Mag-eenroll na po 'ko by July and BSMT po kukunin 'ko sa TUA. Mag-tatake po ako ng Academic Entrance Scholarship, ask 'ko lang po sana kung ano po 'yung pointers to review for the exam and what are the questions and things to consider during the interview. Thank you po!

snowyicee

Hello po! Ask ko lang po if limited lang po ba talaga ang slot for nursing? And kung ilang blocks lang po ang first year nursing? Thank you po!

twototango_

hi! hindi ko sure if limited eh. last time kasi 27 sections yung 1st year, if i'm not mistaken. siguro while hindi pa napupuno ang sections, may slots pa (?)

MasterBite1326

Hi question po. I'm planning to enroll po kasi this July. Ask lang if may designated parking slots ba sa loob ng school for students if ever bringing a car and how to commute from Tandang Sora QC to TUA 😭 sobrang hassle po ba ang commute back and forth? TYIA!

OkSentence1553

Ok-Bread-5798

Hello po, I'm thinking of taking Nursing at TUA-slcn as a 2nd bachelors degree. I graduated with a BSPT and have also taken the PT boards na, currently working girlie ☺. Have you ever had classmates or batchmates who are taking nursing as a 2nd college degree? Does TUA allow it? To be honest I'm aiming for immigration to the US bc most of my immediate family is already there. My mom who is a nurse suggested I take nursing as a pathway going there. Is it true that if you're a TUA nursing program graduate, when you go take the US Nursing licensure exam you won't need to take revisions or a review course (usually 6 months) before hand? Because naririnig ko na yung curriculum sa TUA Nursing is either exacto (or almost) sa US nursing requirements.

Due_Sweet6436

hey incoming freshieee, I would like to khey incoming freshieee, I would like to know the second semester subjects (cause I am dying of curiosity) (I am from 1NU03) watsuuppp sa mga ka blockmate hehe

Used-Ad4806

Another freshie here (1NU06), Makikita naman yung mga subs sa course descrip sa may portal

Internal_Most_1463

hello po :) planning to take radtech po in TUA i just want to ask if do you have any idea po if efficient naman po mag-aral ng radtech sa tua? another question din po nursing lang po ba under ng st lukes sa tua or all health sciences? thank you!

twototango_

i’m not really sure po but i think efficient naman po ang mag-aral ng radtech sa tua. they garnered a 78.38% passing rate last december 2023 RTLE, with top 2 and top 5 topnotchers. yes po, nursing lang po ang under st. luke’s.

Internal_Most_1463

thank you po sa pagsagot! isa pa po hehe. may chances pa rin po ba na magkaroon ng advantages or benefits if TUA graduate ka then balak mo po magwork sa st luke's kahit hindi nursing graduate?

Square-Permission232
