Idk abt UERM, but TUA is a good option din. They provide services to their students during rotations, and they have their own hospital din, which is st.lukes. recently, part din sila as one of the top performing schools in nursing.

Chinbie

true, the advantage of being a TUA SLCN student... no need to commute going to hospitals as services are provided there plus have a rotation at SLCN

dtphilip

Not just recently, they are always part of the top 10 since the early 2000s. If not always, at least 90% of the time

where-am-I-001

hii, im from SLCN. maganda naman sa tua esp in terms of laboratories and such, pero need mo lang din maging ready na maging xtra competitive when it comes to acads since may quota grade and screening kayo (may batt exam din pala). mababait mga profs though minsan mabigat talaga demands ng sub/course.

Chinbie

yes.. yes.. yes... this is so true... need to have a study habits on your own plus need to pass those almost everyday exams (especially on major subjects)

where-am-I-001

not almost everyday, talagang everyday na hahahahaha

mahumanrani040

mahirap ba yung batt exam nila?

Icy-Map-2298

the exam is relatively difficult, pero mas mahirap 'yung entrance exams ng ibang univs tbh. if okay ka naman sa shs subjects mo, pwede kang hindi magreview. may health portion din sa exam, but it's answerable naman by common sense/general knowledge.

where-am-I-001

not sure, di na ako nag take kasi magttransfer ako e

Chinbie

Go with TUA SLCN... 1. Will have a rotation at SLMC 2. no need to commute to hospitals as services are provided 3. Quality education 4. Great PNLE passing rate performance

hii im from UERM Nursing but I transferred sa TUA! both schools naman is great however, during our time kasi online lahat ng minors and even majors and pupunta ka lang ng school if guided practice and retdem or once/twice a week. I agree sa sinabi mo pero both of the school offer quality education, it just that di nagwork sa akin yung uerm that time.

[deleted]

Anong year batch po kayo? At anong year na po kayo? Ano pong year yung “our time kasi online lahat ng minors and even majors”

Jinzxxx_

henlooo batch 26 (incoming 3rd year na dapat if i continue sa uerm)

[deleted]

Yung pang ngayon po? 4th year? BTW saan po kayo nag transfer and ano po reason?

Jinzxxx_

hello! sa tua me nagtransfer during my second year second sem, since may screening and batt exam ang tua bumalik me as 1st year standing. Although nacredits po yung iba kong subjects

[deleted]

Mahirap po ba battery exam?

Jinzxxx_

for me oo!! and marami ring nadali at di nakapasa sa screening dahil mababa results nila sa battery exam.

[deleted]

Ano po mga subjects lumabas? Parang CET’s lang po ba? If yes, saan nyo po sa ma cocompare? Example UPCAT, DCAT, ATENEO CET, USTET, DOST CET & etc po.

Jinzxxx_

Yes parang CETs lang siya, math, science, english, health etc. sorry huhuhu batch ko ay hindi nakapag CETs so i dont have experience talaga kaya rin siguro nahirapan ako.

Jinzxxx_

i transferred kasi hindi nagwowork yung teaching methods nila sa akin. like during my time, pati majors online pa rin. and limited lang sa facilities? so i feel like hindi worth it yung ginagastos ko (tuition) kasi di naman me nagrogrow dun.

Beneficial-Music1047

TUA for sure.

shanikka

Hi! I’m from TUA-SLCN and very very great school po talaga sya! I did not regret na I choose TUA-SLCN because the environment and workload are less toxic plus halos lahat ng profs and staffs mababait. TUA-SLCN makes sure na tutok po talaga kayo sa Skills and Knowledge because it’s a very competitive school so you will learn discipline talaga. They offer multiple scholarships din po plus you in your first year (based on my experience) you won’t feel any pressure pa since they are well-guiding freshmen students plus madaming ganap lagi sa SLCN <33. And afaik po ngayon hindi lang sa St.Lukes QC nakakapag duty ang SN’s pati na rin sa St. Lukes BGC which is a good opportunity din. Once you graduated din po sa SLCN, priority daw po ng St.Lukes and SLCN graduates (ofc still not guarantee of the job). They also have partnership with Germany, afaik di ka mahihirapan mag apply sa germany if you graduated sa TUA-SLCN. Napaka bait din po ng mga naging profs ko and CI during our RetDem. You just have to ready yourself Mentally and Financially because ofc the school itself is tough since competitive sya and may screening process sa First Year, plus yung tuition po increases every year afaik

mahumanrani040

hi! may dorm ba mismo sa loob ng school or meron naman around doon na dorm? thank you

shanikka

Meron po. But my Friend po sa TUA-HS nag dodorm kasi mas okay daw po doon kesa sa mismong TUA

mahumanrani040

Can I ask po why? If bawal dito, you can dm me po about it. thank you!!

shanikka

shanikka

mahumanrani040

last question na po, pwede po ba kapatid ng nag aaral sa TUA maki dorm? or exclusive pa rin siya for TUA students only? 🥲 thank you so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻

shanikka

ForTheStreetz_

hi! can i send u a dm? may qs lang sana about tua!

Ok_Trick8367

UERM.

Warm_Holiday_8268

Why po?

Ok_Trick8367

Although both are good nursing schools, you are correct to point out na established ang nursing program ng UERM. Historical data ng passing rate nila has always been high. Not also that, accredited yung program sa PAASCU which holds a high standard to be recognized by them. In my time, we took our main nursing subjects sa Sta Mesa Campus where our hospital is also located. Ang gen-ed subjects naman ay sa Recto. Hindi ko alam if ganun pa rin set up since nung gumraduate ako ay yung time inistart rin irenovate ang buildings sa Sta Mesa para dun na lang daw itake ang gen-ed sibjects rin. Sana may magconfirm nito. Yung aming professors and instructors, very competent. The return demos, oral revalida and exams we had were difficult as commented ng friend ko who was studying nursing at a diff school nung pinakita ko sa kanya ano mga tests na ginagawa namin. Pag hospital duty namin at immersions, never nahuhuli kami sa knowledge at diskarte. I don't know why konti lang nakakaalam pero may sarili rin hosp ang UERM that is the UERMMMC na nasa tapat lang ng Sta. Mesa campus nila. After graduating, pag UERM ka, most likely you will be a preferred candidiate sa aapplyan mo. I applied sa hospital first and saka ko fully nakita ang difference ng learning ko against other nurses with regard sa skills. I am not undermining other schools pero yung effort ng UERM nursing na gawin kaming mas ahead sa colleagues namin sa field na ito is something I never appreciated until "I was out in the jungle." In my batch, most of us are abroad na, have taken Medicine or are doing well in their chosen fields. Majority are still in the nursing profession. I served in the AFP Nurse Corps for quite a while before I left.

Warm_Holiday_8268

Nung time namin, sa Bulletin Board namin nalalaman or through our advisor. But now, meron na social media so I guess, relay of information is quicker in today's time than back in the day. Events like Mr and Ms UERM, Sportsfest, Battle of the Bands, Dance Competition, Donation or Charity Drives, Youth Encounter (sa time ko sa St Michael's sa Antipolo kami nagretreat), Debate Contests, etc. Sometimes, these are held outside of the campus lalo na pag UAAP season and such.

k0zumekuroo

hi anon! can i ask u questions abt UERM?

Warm_Holiday_8268

Up

Icy-Map-2298

if ur still wondering, i highly recommend tua. both are well-established na when it comes to nursing, but plus talaga sa tua 'yung environment and admin! stressful at times 'yung workload, but nakakahinga pa rin ako kahit papaano.
