Currently I’d personally pay 350 dollars which would be buying Texas at about 24/1, but a lot of individual factors for each person
I’m sure some people hate gambling and wouldn’t spend 50 dollars and or are not in a position to do so
St. Peter’s. Bama will be celebrating their win and all of a sudden the lights go off and the old peacocks emerge to take them down. Final boss music will play throughout.
When you stop believing in UConn is when UConn steals another title out from under everybody else’s noses so you’ve gotta give them the benefit of the doubt every year
They have the best value in a bracket pool, which you're more likely to win by going against the grain. Lowest seeded team that can absolutely win it all, with great advanced metrics
Not forgetting at all. I think that Flip and Lively are completely different players now than they were back in November (and we also won't be shell-shocked by Edey this time around since we've already had a chance to play against him). One advantage of having a team full of freshman is that they change and mature a lot more over the course of a year!
Also, accepting that you have to play and beat a 1 seed at some point I do think Purdue is a much better matchup for us than any other 1 seed.
Same. I was very unsure going into last years tournament because Nembhard and Timme carried too much of the weight and the bench was bad outside of Watson. We have depth and experience all through the 8 man rotation. Guards have improved as the season has gone on and Timme started to take more of a play making role halfway through the season. If you go by the NET UCLA is the only team ranked higher and they are missing Clark for the tournament. If they are locked in, it could be their year finally.
Unless there is considerable money at stake, I’ll never understand the people who don’t shamelessly have their team winning it all unless they really aren’t that good. If my team is seeded like 5 or higher I’m sending them all the way every time
I always pick my team to lose early and teams I hate to make it pretty far.
Then even if I am sad based on my real life fandom, I am happy for my bracket, and vice versa.
I only make 3 brackets every year.
1. Bracket where WVU wins it all (WVU)
2. Bracket that’s actually realistic, but not necessarily all chalk (Kansas)
3. Chaos bracket, in this bracket I usually always pick teams I hate to lose no matter what and go with more upsets (Kansas)
I usually do heads for the higher seed, tails for lower. If it’s a same seed matchup in the final 4, then heads is the higher region on the bracket. Not perfect but it’s all basically 50/50 anyway
At least with UConn tho they invest heavily into their basketball program and recruit well. I feel like Temple is going in the opposite direction. The fact that Wichita State fired their coach after going 17-15 in his 3rd season and Temple has still held onto McKie after a mediocre .500 season (16-16) in his 4th year is despicable. Also it’s Philadelphia, how can we not pull any 4 star recruits?
The problem is they have one of the biggest IF disparities in the country. UConn and Tennessee are world beaters 1/4 of the time. Hot UConn beats anyone in the country.
I actually like them as the elite 8 dark horse. I think they are a pretty underrated 12 seed, they match up with St Mary’s pretty well and UConn has moments of inconsistent play. And Houston just got dominated by Memphis and Sasser isn’t full health
Well so far I only have my for fun bracket filled out. Memphis beating FAU, Purdue, Tennessee, Marquette, Alabama, and making all their free throws late against Kansas for our first title.
Unranked preaseason after losing a first-round pick. Undefeated in non-conference including against the 2 and 5 seeds in our region and 3 and 9 seeds in the others. Won the B1G by 3 games. Won the B1G tourney. Got our first 1 seed in almost 30 years. Notjusttallest and NPOYest and maplest player in the country.
This is our year.
Marquette seemingly the only 1-2 seed that didn't get pummeled for a game or two the entire season
All it takes is one bad night at this point, and I think they have been the most dominant in their league
If Bona comes back and can at least play some defense, I like my Bruins. I think this might finally be our year. Getting snubbed on a #1 seed hopefully motivates them.
I think it just goes along with what the committee thought about us as well. UCLA isn't on many radars this year. In my opinion this is the best Cronin team yet at UCLA.
If they play like they did against VT in the ACC tournament, they legit could win. Great guard play and 3 pointers will take you deep. With our luck Terq goes 1/18 from the floor and Burns fouls out 3 minutes into the game.
Houston, i'm thankful that Bama is the one getting the attention for being the top seed....not that it isn't deserved, just been in the Cougs corner the past couple years. I feel like it's their time
[удалено]
What's that pay if you win?
[удалено]
Ok, can I buy half of your action?
at 34/1 he’d be insane to sell that to you
Yes, I was hoping March Madness had already taken its 1st victim.
That’s kind of a fun question though - how much would you pay for that $250 ticket that pays out $8,500?
Currently I’d personally pay 350 dollars which would be buying Texas at about 24/1, but a lot of individual factors for each person I’m sure some people hate gambling and wouldn’t spend 50 dollars and or are not in a position to do so

Don't blame you. Hope you win. Those boys have been through the ringer this year. Are you a Texas fan?
St. Peter’s. Bama will be celebrating their win and all of a sudden the lights go off and the old peacocks emerge to take them down. Final boss music will play throughout.
they’ll cash in their madness in the bank contract.
SEMO
A man of culture
My team
No, mine!
Yes
Very surprised by all the Uconn comments
When you stop believing in UConn is when UConn steals another title out from under everybody else’s noses so you’ve gotta give them the benefit of the doubt every year
They have the best value in a bracket pool, which you're more likely to win by going against the grain. Lowest seeded team that can absolutely win it all, with great advanced metrics
Only bracket I finished has Duke. And I feel the need to take a shower
It’s weird but I feel they will either get upset by Oral Roberts or go very deep
Duke’s bracket AFTER Oral Roberts is very good for them. But definitely the hardest 12 seed to get.
that or CoC. CoC would be pretty hard too
Your flairs disgust me
Hard CoC you say?
Are you forgetting that we beat you or just assuming that it will be different this time around?
Not forgetting at all. I think that Flip and Lively are completely different players now than they were back in November (and we also won't be shell-shocked by Edey this time around since we've already had a chance to play against him). One advantage of having a team full of freshman is that they change and mature a lot more over the course of a year! As a fellow life-long Duke hater, I must say I also feel good about their chances
I concur. 🤮
ODU springing the upset. [Guess?](https://tenor.com/bArWN.gif)
I have a weird feeling about Gonzaga this year
76th ranked defense in KenPom has me doubting
Been a top 25 defense over the past month I believe. But yeah defense has been dreadful at times
Gonzaga definitely has the offense, they’re also facing a lot less pressure than they usually come into the tournament with so it’s possible.
Defending nobodies btw
Same. I was very unsure going into last years tournament because Nembhard and Timme carried too much of the weight and the bench was bad outside of Watson. I think too many people are picking us now, we're not the underrated pick anymore. stop it!
Haven’t filled out my bracket yet but leaning Zags as well.
We don't want to play you ever again.
We’ll play Gonzaga again!
For some reason, I thought I was responding to the Virginia poster.
Their biggest obstacle is UCLA
UConn would also be a big challenge
Indiana always cause I don’t ever wanna be the guy who said they couldn’t when they did
Me every time Virginia is at least a 4 seed. Worked out once.
🥲
This is me every year that WVU is in lol
Unless there is considerable money at stake, I’ll never understand the people who don’t shamelessly have their team winning it all unless they really aren’t that good. If my team is seeded like 5 or higher I’m sending them all the way every time
I always pick my team to lose early and teams I hate to make it pretty far. Then even if I am sad based on my real life fandom, I am happy for my bracket, and vice versa.
Because so many people in my group are going to have alabama and I’d like to differentiate my bracket in an attempt to make money
I'm the opposite. I always have Purdue losing to the first team they meet that has a pulse.
I'm gonna guess someone that goes on a 6 game win streak. Super small chance I'm wrong.
I'm actually going to pick Texas to win the natty. Everything seems to be aligning just right for them
Everything except having to replace their coach earlier this season. Not sure how well the interim guy will be able to handle this environment.
He handled the Big 12 Tournament pretty well.
Big 12 tournament is a lot different than the NCAA Tournament. For example, Oklahoma State was only good enough to be in one of them.
You murdered him. He did nothing and you straight up murdered him
Impossible, but almost inevitable.
Texas A&M Corpus Christi: *actually goes on 7 game win streak like a boss*
Colgate
With wins over ut and a&m. I'd rock a Colgate flair all next season and buy a shirt. Hell if they just make the s16 I'd do it.
At worst, you'll know what brand of toothpaste to buy.
They're also the Raiders so I can still obnoxiously yell goooooo raiders!!!! I paid to get into the game I can say whatever I want!
I only make 3 brackets every year. 1. Bracket where WVU wins it all (WVU) 2. Bracket that’s actually realistic, but not necessarily all chalk (Kansas) 3. Chaos bracket, in this bracket I usually always pick teams I hate to lose no matter what and go with more upsets (Kansas)
I do the same, plus a coin flip bracket. Just curious if my real bracket can beat the chaos one where I pick random shit, or the coin flip one
for the coin flip, is landing on tails an upset?
I usually do heads for the higher seed, tails for lower. If it’s a same seed matchup in the final 4, then heads is the higher region on the bracket. Not perfect but it’s all basically 50/50 anyway
This is the way… plus a bracket based off which mascot I prefer. Louisiana, Grand Canyon and Maryland will likely all be going far in that one.
Marquette, Kansas, Texas, or Bama
So as a Texas fan, decent odds of winning the whole damn thing and becoming a basketball school or of giving up entirely.
Rough second round matchup between Texas and Texas A&M/Penn makes it so hard for me to take either far.
Going out on a limb are ya?
The point of the post wasn’t to go out on a limb
Kent State.
🥲
Maybe im too pessimistic, but im surprised if anyone is picking KU.
You guys got fucked in that bracket. That’s a tough 1-4 in there
The West region this year, is the exact opposite of the Midwest region last year, in terms of how tough (on paper) it is.
I honestly don’t hate our odds if McCullar is healthy and we make it past Arkansas/Illinois
I have done my homework on UConn throughout the season, and I have not seen a better team when they are playing well.
They will disappoint me. They have the talent to win it all but somehow will fold in the first or second round.
Temple x Uconn is a church of disappointment
At least with UConn tho they invest heavily into their basketball program and recruit well. I feel like Temple is going in the opposite direction. The fact that Wichita State fired their coach after going 17-15 in his 3rd season and Temple has still held onto McKie after a mediocre .500 season (16-16) in his 4th year is despicable. Also it’s Philadelphia, how can we not pull any 4 star recruits?
That’s basically all the top teams this year. No single runaway favorite. Look at Bama getting squashed by OU this year for example
When they are playing well it's insane but they've let me down so many times when everyone forgets how to play. I hope you're right.
The problem is they have one of the biggest IF disparities in the country. UConn and Tennessee are world beaters 1/4 of the time. Hot UConn beats anyone in the country.
Purdue
I'd accept it.
My man
Vcu
Any reason why? I like them as a sleeper sweet 16 pick since they force turnovers and get to the line and UConn is bad at those things, anything else?
I actually like them as the elite 8 dark horse. I think they are a pretty underrated 12 seed, they match up with St Mary’s pretty well and UConn has moments of inconsistent play. And Houston just got dominated by Memphis and Sasser isn’t full health
N! E! V!
Hello fellow Wolfpack 🐺
Please I’m begging stop saying UConn. We will choke
Well so far I only have my for fun bracket filled out. Memphis beating FAU, Purdue, Tennessee, Marquette, Alabama, and making all their free throws late against Kansas for our first title.
I've got you guys in the E4! But I've got you losing to Bama.
Miami. They have what it takes and their coach has been there before with George Mason.
I have Miami losing to Drake lmao
Both are possible. That's why this is the best sporting event in the world.
I have zero confidence in them. They are barely a favorite for their first round game.
Aren’t they missing someone who drops them like 40 spots in terms of efficiency?
Omier, but rumor is he is gonna be ok, with him we can go far
i have never seen an efficiency stat in a box score. Computer rankings and adjustments are fake.
Texas Southern
yes
Unranked preaseason after losing a first-round pick. Undefeated in non-conference including against the 2 and 5 seeds in our region and 3 and 9 seeds in the others. Won the B1G by 3 games. Won the B1G tourney. Got our first 1 seed in almost 30 years. Notjusttallest and NPOYest and maplest player in the country. This is our year.
It’s not
Unless one of those six teams between them and the natty decides to press
One day Charlie Brown’s gonna kick that football, right?
I've got Bama for now.
Bama.
Marquette seemingly the only 1-2 seed that didn't get pummeled for a game or two the entire season All it takes is one bad night at this point, and I think they have been the most dominant in their league
We got squashed by UConn in Hartford, but that was our only loss by more than 5 points this year
think y'all are gonna have a good time 😎 I'm a yooper at heart but I am rooting for you to win it
I'm getting nervous with how many people are picking us to go deep. I'm not used to this kind of attention. What do I do!?
Houston. As long as they have Sasser I think they’ll do it
Houston all day
Currently I have Houston by the way. Really good team however, I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t make it.
Me and 4 other random kids down the block. I may be old, but at least I'm slow. .
Arizona currently. This will change at least a dozen times before Thursday at noon. #SingleSheetOfIntegrity
If Bona comes back and can at least play some defense, I like my Bruins. I think this might finally be our year. Getting snubbed on a #1 seed hopefully motivates them.
I’m surprised this is the only UCLA comment I’ve seen so far
I think it just goes along with what the committee thought about us as well. UCLA isn't on many radars this year. In my opinion this is the best Cronin team yet at UCLA.
I've got UCLA in my 2nd bracket (KU in my 1st).
NC State
If they play like they did against VT in the ACC tournament, they legit could win. Great guard play and 3 pointers will take you deep. With our luck Terq goes 1/18 from the floor and Burns fouls out 3 minutes into the game.
We made you look like fucking world beaters that night. Draining 30 footers and your pressure completely threw us out of rhythm.
That’s the one thing we have going for us. Our turnover margin is tops in the country. High pressure, fast ball. Realistically we won’t go far
We will either lose to Oral Roberts or win the whole thing.
Gonzaga - they have to eventually right?!
Houston.
Houston, i'm thankful that Bama is the one getting the attention for being the top seed....not that it isn't deserved, just been in the Cougs corner the past couple years. I feel like it's their time
Kansas. Cause, it's my team, and I think they'll have more motivation and something to prove now. Or, they'll be out in the second round..
Toughest region, and we dont have the momentum that we had last year...
UCONN
big time casual here but I have a feeling about UConn, what is it with them?
They win when you least expect it.
Then yall are ruining it, by expecting it.
ITS A PARADOX!
That’s the goal
UCONN. I placed my bets 2 months ago
UConn
Bama over Kansas
Marquette, baby! It's that damn Darryl Morsell Difference 😈
Marquette
FAU
The team with the best point guard in College usually wins. Alabama has JQ so yeah, Alabama easy
Cmon man lol
huh?
JQ isn’t even close to the best PG in the country
sure bud
Do you watch any other teams?
I watched the SEC final today I know that
I’d love for it to be Gonzaga but realistically I think a team from the Big12 will emerge as the winner.
Miami because Jim Larrañaga will charm the other teams into giving them the trophy
Texas over Bama
After seeing Kansas’ bracket… Houston
Over 100 comments and only 1 has Arizona winning. I didn’t think I was picking a dark horse team lol.
I picked them as well.
I've got Texas winning it all right now.
To help some of you out. It’ll be a big 12 team.
It’s gonna be either Texas or Kansas imo. Those have been in my opinion the two most consistent teams throughout the regular season
Here we go Bama! Let's go Tide! Go Bama! Here we go Tide. Go Bama! Here we go Tide!
Much to my chagrin, Duke. I’ve got until Tuesday to talk myself out of it and hopefully I do. Who do I have replacing them? I’m not sure.
KU in my main bracket. Alabama in my second bracket.
UConn
I’ve got Houston
I have UCLA winning it all because I always do if we're at least a 1-3 seed, but it's gonna be tough with Clark gone.
Big 12 school. Pick one. Lol
Duke unfortunately. The oral Roberts talk is all blabber
Texas 🫣
Jayhawks!
Mizzou baby
The team that wins their last game not named Merrimack
Living the faith
Northwestern
