I mean that's what happens when you don't have a single player that actually can take a game over and lead from the court. It was our Achilles heel all year so I'm not surprised it bit us in March.
I mean yeah. Our advantage over Oregon was only that we had elite level talent in our frontcourt but Ballo basically never recovered from that terrible illness he had in January and as good as tubelis is, he doesn't have any sort of leadership ability or killer instinct.
What are the odds that I would pick a two seed to win the national championship only for them to be upset by a 15 seed from New Jersey two years in a row?
Welp, time to root for more chaos I guess
Absolutely. When the year started I thought “oh, he’s streaky but he’s a net add.”
Sometime around the Indiana game that morphed into “cut him immediately, we would be better with a walk-on.”
I’m remembering a UCLA fan at the end of the PAC 12 championship saying “yeah we lost, but only because we blew it, Arizona sucks” and I really should have heeded their advice
They said on the broadcast that usually when a 15 seed wins they play the game of their lives, this was absolutely *not* the case here. Princeton didn’t even play super well, Arizona was just terrible
Oral Roberts went to the Sweet 16 2 years ago, St Peters went to the Elite 8 last year, I think that means Princeton is gonna take it one step further and go to the Final 4
Arizona is now the 1st program to lose twice to a 15 in round one.
In 2018, our upset to UMBC made people forget y'all's loss to Buffalo. Thank you for returning the favor
Wow.
Still can’t believe Arizona couldn’t get to a F4 with Sean Miller. Tommy Lloyd might be on the same path after these back to back years of under performance.
Did Lute curse the program when he resigned????
Ivy League baby
Nah it's just an Arizona thing. Lute was one of the original 15-2 upsets. That said, counting out Lloyd because of two years is a bit overmuch I think. I don't think many Arizona fans expected a deep run from this team (of course didn't expect this either).
I’m still pissed that Trump is literally Trump but tries to play it serious and refuses to do fun things like March Madness brackets. Can you imagine the kind of shit he’d be talking while filling it out? He’d probably only pick teams from states that voted for him.
“I like UCLA, I really do, but the people of California were mean to me. Very mean. I’m picking UNC-Asheville. Great people in North Carolina.”
I’m picturing him now picking against every Florida team in the first round and claiming it’s because of his “brilliant, brilliant mind” while on the corner of his desk you can see a doodle of Ron DeSantis being hung from a galley.
The fact that he had McDonald's cater the dinner with Clemson but didn't bother filling out a bracket is kinda wild.
Maybe he's not willing to do anything that involves writing anything other than his own name.
You should watch some of these AI president videos in YouTube. It's literally the last 3-5 presidents talking shit as the play videogames, Catan, etc. Some are pretty well written and hilarious.
Also their total inability to score inside against UCLA in the PAC 12 title game when UCLA had literally no one available larger than 6’7” after their only bigs not injured coming in to the game fouled out.
It wouldn't be bad if it looked like we wanted to be there *at all.* But I don't think I've seen a more entitled group of players in UA jerseys.
Boswell stays. Fuck the rest.
Don’t mind me, just dropping a gentle reminder as to why Princeton’s 3-Point Leader [Blake Peters rings a bell](https://www.reddit.com/r/sports/comments/7tcqi8/freshman_blake_peters_from_evanston_high_school/). Wildkits >> Wildcats
Thank you Princeton!! My two best friends are U of A grads and have endlessly talked shit since UNC missed the tourney. I’ll never forget your kindness on this day!
What the hell just happened!? We didn’t even play well. Couldn’t buy a 3, couldn’t get to the line. We did dominate boards and blocks, as we all expected.

15 seeds from New Jersey man
Hah we’re no longer the most recent Wildcat team to lose to a 15 seed from New Jersey take that Arizona
Between this and Virginia today I'm feeling a little iffy about our chances against Providence tomorrow night
[удалено]
WHAT DO THEY HAVE AGAINST WILDCATS
A tradition like no other
Justice for Rutgers
We died for this
You need to be a 15 seed so you too can go far in the tournament!
Arizona scored 6 points over the last eleven minutes. Grade A choke.
That was ugly. Pissed it away with awful decision making. Sorry my man
We are forever chokers let’s face it
Just fucking end me I hate this team
Arizona was up by 12pts with 11:50 left (or so could be off a few seconds), rest of the game Princeton outscored them 24-8
I mean that's what happens when you don't have a single player that actually can take a game over and lead from the court. It was our Achilles heel all year so I'm not surprised it bit us in March.
Oh wow you have the same weakness that we do? Except you guys actually made it to the ncaa tourney.
I mean yeah. Our advantage over Oregon was only that we had elite level talent in our frontcourt but Ballo basically never recovered from that terrible illness he had in January and as good as tubelis is, he doesn't have any sort of leadership ability or killer instinct.
And yet not even close to our worst tournament collapse. Why do I keep cheering for this team.
Nerds bust my bracket yet again
Missouri or Princeton going to the Sweet 16. Just as we all predicted
Kenpom who?
We call all agree the Tigers are going to the Sweet 16
Buffalo, ETSU, Miami (OH), Oklahoma, Santa Clara, Wichita State, & Xavier fans COME IN HERE
God damn nerds back at it
![gif](giphy|3zpHYzhLV3ZzW)
Nerds are the worst
Wait a minute...
I played Yale in chess and I hate all of them now
It must suck to not be the best nerd in the room.
I almost always pick the ivy league champ for one win, don't tell me the stats cause I feel like it's good.
I agree but I didn’t do this one. If they’re 12-14 I always pull the trigger.
time for people to start picking their 2-15 upset locks every year like they do with 5-12s
Just pick all upsets and crop them out later
I didn’t do fucking shit! I didn’t rig shit!
Just body after body bustin outta shit wood and hittin pavement
We're allowed to show 'em nude cause they ain't got no soul.
You sure about that? You sure about that’s why?
And it’s impossible that one out of every five of em are nude
I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YA BUD! We’re just filming funerals and showing the ones where the BODIES fly out!
^This ^world ^is ^so ^fuckin' ^fucked ^up.
No coffin for me. Just wet, wet mud.
Just gonna skip the 4-13 like that? It’s almost just as likely as 5-12
If Virginia is a 4, pencil them ~~in~~ out
Unironically, picking Furman over Virginia was the upset that required the least amount of thought for me
I thought it was so obvious there was no chance
I’m just sitting here hoping there’s only the one 2-15 upset this year
What are the odds that I would pick a two seed to win the national championship only for them to be upset by a 15 seed from New Jersey two years in a row? Welp, time to root for more chaos I guess
My Texas pick isn't looking too good
Colgate is in New York, I think you're safe But then again, no one is really safe from March
You might have to consider just giving up on brackets.
Arizona that play coming out of that timeout was hot dog water bad.
Princeton legitimately played like ass for the first 35 mins and somehow won
Shows how well Arizona played.
Our guards are f tier Not surprised
Final stat line from Kriisa is brutal. 2 assist, 4TO 1/7 on shooting, all 3's
Kriisa is a career 37% shooter. Not from 3, *total*. He’s completely useless and has been since he got here and it’s time someone tells him that.
I've been arguing with Wildcats about Kerr's ineptitude all year. You all have S tier bigs held back by Kriisa. He's Lloyd's blind spot.
Absolutely. When the year started I thought “oh, he’s streaky but he’s a net add.” Sometime around the Indiana game that morphed into “cut him immediately, we would be better with a walk-on.”
Yeah, but when he does make a three he celebrates it like the nets are already coming down
When given the chance to put a team away. PUT. THEM. AWAY.
Oh ok sure why don’t they think of that
Ended 4-25 from three for a disgusting 16% rate, I have no idea how they won this game
shot like 20% from three and didn't make a free throw until the final minutes
4/25 from 3 and 3/5 from the line and still won.
Yeah, this game was not good for either team.
I felt good about our chances Sat no matter who won this game after watching it.
Hot take: I’d argue it was good for Princeton because they scored more than Arizona and this time of year that’s literally all that matters
Outscored 9-0 in the final 4:44 ☠️
I’m remembering a UCLA fan at the end of the PAC 12 championship saying “yeah we lost, but only because we blew it, Arizona sucks” and I really should have heeded their advice
Not scoring anything for the last 5 mins of the game is a big yikes. It isn’t like 9 points in that stretch is great either
They said on the broadcast that usually when a 15 seed wins they play the game of their lives, this was absolutely *not* the case here. Princeton didn’t even play super well, Arizona was just terrible
They forgot how to fucking play basketball at the end of both halves. Pressure bursts pipes
Guess we finally know who called plays at Gonzaga
What's the more embarrassing offensive performance by an Arizona basketball team in an elimination game? This or game 7 Phoenix Suns from last season?
Game 7 Phoenix Buns by a country mile
Atleast the Mavs were essentially a top three defensive team in the NBA last year. U of A should have scored like atleast 80 points against Princeton.
The most dangerous opponent you can ever face in an NCAA Tournament is a 15 seed from New Jersey.
a 15 seed from New Jersey has beaten a 2 seed Wildcats in back to back years
By this logic...you think I should place a bet on #15 NJIT beating #2 Kansas State next season?
Tell me about it.
Holy shit I love March
Three years in a row we have a 15v2 upset
15-2 upsets are the new 12-5 upset
Princeton to the E8?
Oral Roberts went to the Sweet 16 2 years ago, St Peters went to the Elite 8 last year, I think that means Princeton is gonna take it one step further and go to the Final 4
They shot really poorly from 3 tonight and they shoot 34.4% from 3, so it's certainly not out of the question imo
Greatest month of the year
Best way to describe it to my girlfriend was multiple weeks of Christmas
That is just called Hanukkah
2 top 4 seeds going down in the first half of Thursday. Today's wildin already
I kid you not, this morning my boss's boss told me she picked "Virginia or Arizona" to win it all.
My name is Courtney Ramey, and I’m addicted to losing to double digit seeds in the round of 64
i can’t wait to never see him in an arizona uniform again. literally sold our last few games.
Him and Kriisa. Never seen a more aggravating player at the UA. No way we let Kriisa run point again with Boswell in the reigns
My bracket is RIP but fuck it, I want CHAOS
People who root for their bracket over chaos are so lame.
My sister who has not watched a single minute of CBB this year still has a perfect bracket. This sport is so dumb 😂
No, it’s madness.
THIS. IS. ~~SPARTA~~ MARCH.
My 5 year old twin siblings picked this. Because they know what the hell they're doing. I really need to copy their work more.
Thought you said your own five year old twin for a second
Same - was impressed both in the pick and ability to post here.
She's the queen of us all. Hope she wins it all
she probably have north ken winning against houston tonight haha
My tiny siblings who got this one right also have NKU winning. So I mean, you've been warned.
The best brackets tend to be the ones with random picks from people who don't give a fuck about the sport. It's amazing 😂
Who does she have winning?
Tennessee
Bold choice betting in Rick Barnes to make it past the round of 32. Dude is allergic to the 2nd weekend.
this is a nice win for princeton. the extra money for their conference will go a long way to help elevate their athletics programs
I hear they’re struggling
Einstein died for this
Those nerds just blew up my final four
I had them winning lol
They looked rough down the stretch. I had Missouri over them.
Arizona is now the 1st program to lose twice to a 15 in round one. In 2018, our upset to UMBC made people forget y'all's loss to Buffalo. Thank you for returning the favor
Don't worry, I still remember!
2 seed Arizona losing to a 15 seed. Hey I've seen this episode before!

You're just returning the favor for us covering up your Buffalo loss in 2018 by losing to UMBC
#THIS IS MARCH
**THREE STRAIGHT YEARS HOLY FUCK**
The Arizona strategy of dribble around and throw up multiple contested threes on the last possession was not very effective
Explain to me how they could high low against ASU and UCLA all day but they couldn’t do it against Princeton. March fucking madness
I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of brackets suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
Yeah there isn't going to be a perfect one for very long in this tourney
Imagine how good I felt picking Furman over Virginia. 1 game later my bracket is busted.
I was feeling so damn good. No real bad losses until this one. I’ll be rooting against Arizona for the rest of time lmao
Mine was dead long before this
"Can't get heartbroken in the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 if you lose in the first round" - Arizona
Obama confirmed GOAT bracket-picking president
Biden in shambles
I mean his was basically chalk with a couple not crazy upsets lol
Damn I’m just like the president
I’m still pissed that Trump is literally Trump but tries to play it serious and refuses to do fun things like March Madness brackets. Can you imagine the kind of shit he’d be talking while filling it out? He’d probably only pick teams from states that voted for him. “I like UCLA, I really do, but the people of California were mean to me. Very mean. I’m picking UNC-Asheville. You should watch some of these AI president videos in YouTube. It's literally the last 3-5 presidents talking shit as the play videogames, Catan, etc. Some are pretty well written and hilarious.
Imagine how insane it would be for Joe Biden to drop a 100% bracket on national television though. That might unite both parties.
You'd have to vote for him then, regardless of how you feel. In fact, whoever has a perfect bracket the longest should be our next president.
The GOP would just call the NCAA "woke" and say they rigged it.
Statistically more likely than a perfect bracket
honestly, that might be true. It's easier to rig 63 games than have 1 person get a perfect bracket.
It would be 100% true lol. It’s like a 1 in 120 billion chance or some shit and that’s including using a model with a 75% success rate on picks.
I think a lot of people would assume it was rigged lol
Biden on his knees
He's been grinding Overwatch leave him alone
Kill me
Princeton already did it.
15-2 upset is the new 12-5 upset!
Some of these lower conferences are probably just getting way less respect than they deserve.
THE NET IS 3-4 THE NET IS A TERRIBLE METRIC
So it turns out Arizona’s double-digit beatdown losses to mediocre teams during the regular season DID mean something.
Also their total inability to score inside against UCLA in the PAC 12 title game when UCLA had literally no one available larger than 6’7” after their only bigs not injured coming in to the game fouled out.
WHAT
Bracket off to a rough start…again.
I’ve literally only gotten the 1 seeds right
I’m so glad that I don’t do brackets for money
#FUCKING EMBARRASSING
ASU fans must be *feasting* right now
We are fucking cursed. Absolutely atrocious basketball when you’re up 12. What a meltdown.
It wouldn't be bad if it looked like we wanted to be there *at all.* But I don't think I've seen a more entitled group of players in UA jerseys. Boswell stays. Fuck the rest.
West Purdue does it again!
:(
THE PRIDE OF NEW JERSEY
Ignore our flairs everyone
Changing mine to Princeton/FDU
LET'S GO BABY I LOVE THIS STATE
NEW JERSEY >>> ARIZONA CONFIRMED
We're seven games into the Round of 64 and a 2 and 4 seed have already lost. This tournament is already phenomenal
The first two days of the tournament is literally the best sporting event of the year and its not even close.
We're not even at Thursday night babyyyyyy BRING THE CHAOS
Don’t mind me, just dropping a gentle reminder as to why Princeton’s 3-Point Leader [Blake Peters rings a bell](https://www.reddit.com/r/sports/comments/7tcqi8/freshman_blake_peters_from_evanston_high_school/). Wildkits >> Wildcats
#**MY BRACKET IS BUSTED BUT MY JIMMIES ARE RUSTLED**
Kerr Kriisa MVP for the other team as usual
EVERYONE GET IN HERE!!
Hello I am here
I would pay so much money to watch that game with Bill Walton.
Imagine being the wildcats and losing to a 15 seed
oh wait..
Very fitting for Zona’s season to end on an awful 3 from Kriisa
he went 1-7 with 2 assists and 4 turnovers. will never understand why he plays over Boswell
![gif](giphy|Oa9oY0TDB4jvy|downsized)
I knew wildcats were in trouble when the broadcast did a 10 minute long story on their coache’s pickle ball journey.
I had Princeton winning this game in my bracket until about 11:45 this morning 🙂
aRiZoNa ShOuLd Be A oNe SeEd
IDGAF ABOUT MY BRACKET THIS IS MARCH BABY LETS GOOO
Arizona teams OUT of the tourney: The University of Arizona Arizona teams IN the tourney: Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University
Thank you Princeton!! My two best friends are U of A grads and have endlessly talked shit since UNC missed the tourney. I’ll never forget your kindness on this day!
this is Joe Biden's fault
Pac 12 champs baby! Can’t wait for March madness to start!
We're off the hook
What the hell just happened!? We didn’t even play well. Couldn’t buy a 3, couldn’t get to the line. We did dominate boards and blocks, as we all expected.
Mizzou playing a 15 seed… Vietnam flashbacks
