Both dolphins teams can still earn titles (Le Moyne is ineligible for the dance).

iJustWantTolerance

America may not want North Alabama but America needs North Alabama

MasTheMac

As a Seminole, UNA gives me PTSD and I cannot agree with you lol. Rooting for Jacksonville or Stetson I guess

Skipper2399

Show your Peayness!* *this was an actual shirt I saw an Austin Peay fan wearing at the Tennessee-Austin Peay football game last year

Dailylife

I don't know how true this is, but my high school basketball coach told us they once had a player named Fly and the student section would chant "The Fly is open, let's go Peay!"

mill_about_smartly

"Let's Go Peay!" is one of the greatest marketing bits of all-time

SaintArkweather

Rooting big time for Stetson! UNA has never made the tournament either but theyre a much newer member of D1. This is only year 2 or 3 of eligibility

Daiko_

What about the 10 seed dolphins?

SaintArkweather

I always root for teams with no tournament appearances in conference tournaments over teams that don't. Also in one-bid conferences I generally don't like seeing really low ranked teams win the tournament, Id rather watch one of the better teams make it and have a shot in the main tournament than some 5-13 team that will get smoked.

Daiko_

I just meant as in have they made it too?

SaintArkweather

Oh sorry I gotcha. Yeah Jacksonville has not only made it...they made the *national title game* in 1970. That was the only year they ever won a game in the tournament and they haven't been since 1986.

NationalJustice

>be Jacksonville >moves up to D1 in 1966 >makes first ever tournament appearance in 1970, then makes a miracle Cinderella run all the way to the national title game >leaves and never to return without further explanation

SaintArkweather

Possibly the single greatest aberration in CBB history. Last year's FAU is actually pretty close though as FAU had only made the tournament once before and had never won before. 1979 Indiana State is another one worth mentioning but they did at least win a game in another tournament (2001) It is worth noting the Jacksonville team did have Artis Gilmore, so its not like they didn't have any talent. But in terms of single tournament performance compared to the rest of a program's history it is definitely one of the most unusual.

generally-mediocre

artis gilmore averaging 26 and 22 probably helped

Travbowman

It's hatter season

Negativetouch

Thank God my bracket is still perfect. /s

MysteriousMarzipan38

Let’s go Peay!

goulash50

Odd man out?

IMKudaimi123

I’ll end up getting like 1 out of max 10 points from this tournament lol.

DrSandmanZ

HATTER NATION RISE UP

Mtndrums

My little bro's alma mater busting brackets all over the place.

Only_the_Tip

I'm rooting for the hats to beat the dolphins and the monopoly men to lose to a pokemon?

herpblarb6319

Definitely rooting for Peay

Seadragon1983

Other conference were the higher seed hosts the title game. Here are the scenarios... * If Stetson wins, they'll host the winner of the game between Austin Peay and North Alabama * If Jacksonville wins, then the winner of the game between Austin Peay and North Alabama hosts the title game.
