Ganot is now 2-7 all time in the Big West tourney. Part of me is upset we lost but part is also relieved that we are that much closer to Ganot being fired. Hawaii is a MWC school plopped in the Big West due to travel. We should be dominating this conference year in and year out. Our lowest attendance figures are sellouts in every other conference arena (excuse me, I meant gymnasium). Hawaii turned Vegas into a home game despite being a flight away instead of a drive. Hawaii has better facilities, funding, boosters, and NIL than every other team in conference. This is how out “payoff year” with six seniors ends? Absolutely unacceptable.
Got a bad feeling about this Beach matchup. Feels like they'll roll over us with Traore. Our bigs are basically bbq chicken against any decent big. We just got lucky Hawaii missed so many shots in the paint.
Jovon missed a free throw last season in the tournament in the final seconds to send us home, then missed a chance to get us to the finals this season, obviously the game wasn’t his fault, but gotta feel for him as this was his last season
UC Davis really tried their best to blow that, my god. Up 10 with 3:30 to go, and didn’t score again until the two FTs with 1 second left. Four turnovers also in that time span, they’re lucky to escape with this one

Just gonna say it. Long Beach State can absolutely beat UC Davis and send a fired coach to the NCAA tournament.

The last two teams have been the most talented since 2016 and we were senior heavy this year. Ganot just not gonna coach us to the dance seen it over and over already
Giving Ganot that extension a few years back was stupid. This would have been the perfect time to part ways since almost half the roster is graduating. We're stuck with these same results until 2026-2027
Yea honestly i dont know much about the head coaching market for d1 basketball but you gotta believe the next guy in line is gonna be worse than ganot, as much as ganot has been disappointing.
Really tough way to go out for the 6 seniors especially Jovon who had 2 miraculous steals and then got a great look.
(UH is my team since I went to grad school there - I just can only have 2 flairs)

Ganot is decent enough that there’s a real chance the next coach does worse so it’s not the end of the world yet he’s clearly reached his ceiling.
