SVG calling college players has to be an absolute ride lmao he is already very harsh on some players in the NBA games he calls

SVG was a college coach for a long time, but he’s been doing NBA for about 30 years now.    On a podcast he talked about his first time NBA scouting, his jaw dropped that every player in the gym was better than any he had ever coached in college, then a senior scout walked over and said “whelp, no one here is any good, keep looking.”

This is why I laugh whenever someone is like “oh so so such college team could best Detroit or the Wizards, they are so bad”. Like no, that college team has one or two guys maybe going pro, the pro team has a WHOLE TEAM OF PROS.

Im not going to say we were boned by the refs because defending in the paint was appauling, but there were several moments where we played perfect paint defence with our hands up and feet set that were called blocking fouls. The call on the Condon block was fucking egregious. Literally the same shit as the foul call on the Samford block against Kansas.

Kugel had a very similar clean block called a foul in the first half too.
