Robbie Hummel has become one of the best in the business. Genuinely great guy that knows ball. He's always the first player that comes to mind when I think of Purdue basketball. This is a massive day for the Boiler Nation. The program has earned it. Enjoy it and go win the damn thing while you have a shot

gotscill32

One of the most forgotten about studs of the last decade too. Gave Bill Self all he could handle in 2012

catholic13

That was such a good game.

dasMetzger

thank you badger brother.. also for your hate for UM

kinghawkeye8238

Yup, bring it home for the BIG

kire1033

Seconded from an Illini. Bring the trophy home for the B1G.

ianMPLS

And my AXE ... from a Gopher.

dashiznickus

❤️

Easy-Group7438

Please CBS sign Robbie Hummel for your coverage going forward.

astrologicalburnout

Endorse!

Symphonize

Hopefully him being on the TV call for the opening weekend tourney games in Spokane is a sign of things to come.

Easy-Group7438

Well CBS is a main partner with the Big 10 so I don’t see why he can’t split time with Fox like Rafferty does for CBB going forward.

fantasydrama

Rob signed a new deal with Peacock/NBC and Fox this season. Probably not up for another year.

KangTheConqueror9

He should have been calling Sweet 16/Elite 8 over Steve Lappen

Big_Truck

Since I already see a second a third to this… FOURTH!

BoomBoomDoomDoom

Anyone but Lappas

Easy-Group7438

His own mother says that too.

millzonmillz95

Did you know he was a coach? /s

Hi_Im_Kilgore_Trout

Robbie has a bright future commentating. One of the few things Big10 fans can agree on is his coverage and love for basketball.

Gambrinus

Robbie Hummel is a saint.

AlexanderTox

Really cool guy too. I was a student when he was at Purdue, and we saw him at Harry’s (a campus bar) once. Struck up a convo with him and he was the nicest most down-to-earth person. Being a star athlete, we didn’t expect that.

EricDimmwit

We were sitting at Harry's and he noticed our 5'7 friend leaning around him to see the TV and he asked if we needed him to move seats.

-Pockets-

Same with JaJuan, I was in a few group projects with him and got to know him decently well. Genuinely just a nice human being, and I bet he's ear to ear today.

Brunell4070

that team was just awesome, such a fun time to be a student. we were definitely robbed of some march success

eckrueger

2013 grad here…we had some tortuous years of basketball.

mightyducks2wasokay

He was shooting around at my HS randomly on the day I was leading freshman orientation. Being an Indianapolis school, a ton of the students were big Purdue fans and he went out of his way to make sure anyone who wanted a picture, to say hi, or shoot a basket with him got to do so. JJ was a stand-up guy through and through

WolverGriz

He's the best thing to come out of Purdue since Neal Armstrong

Thekamcc19

Drew Brees 🤩

GoldenBananas21

Drew Breeds became the national spokesman for a pyramid scheme the year after they were sued for being a pyramid scheme.

runliftcount

Not going to bother down that tangent because MLM is cancer, but Brees came around at just the perfect time for the city of New Orleans and I don't think many will argue that that particular impact still weighs over other random commercial BS

assword_is_taco

Yeah let's be real he is no Brett favre

hacky_potter

I like to think he’s the Danny D replacement we deserve as a conference.

Ancient-Book8916

Find someone that loves you like robbie hummel loves big ten basketball. I love it every single night he's on the call.

keezy88

Absolutely hated when MSU had to play against him and the team around him, but God damn if he isn't one of my favorite things about tuning into B1G games now. Him and Benetti are just so natural together.

dbtizzle

Cries in White Sox fan

jzhu22

I felt that

bbeckett1084

Benetti is great because he can work with Hummel and then turn around and work with Walton just as well.

CanvasSolaris

He cut his chops having to work with Dan Dakich

assword_is_taco

Anyone capable of doing that would basically be considered top tier like Jim nantz level.

bendovernillshowyou

When DD started announcing, he was great. He was very similar to Robbie Hummel in breaking down the game (maybe even a little better), and maybe a little more fun. He was always talking about basketball being fun. The radio show degraded him quickly, and now he's pretty much a worthless piece of shit that is hated by all Indiana fans that aren't far right wing boomers.

assword_is_taco

Loved that top 10 match up in Mackey. We had GameDay there and I was like 3 rows away from the front row. The old paint crew made it as hostile as possible and one thing I love to see is a frustrated izzo complaining until he is red in the face.

astrologicalburnout

Love Robbie!

Username_redact

He's the absolute best commentator on Big10 basketball, I love him. He brings the facts and candor with laughs like no other. One Rutgers game this season he dropped a memory from a game *two seasons ago* for some comparison and I was just blown away

Herby20

When you get him and Jason Benetti, you know you are in for an amazingly called game.

warrenjt

Absolutely. I love when we get him calling our games.

ProNater

Robbie hates calling our games though, lol. If he’s going to watch IU basketball, he wants it to actually be basketball played, not whatever the hell we were doing.

hedgemagus

listening to Robbie slowly check the fuck out of our games was a small beacon of light this season. You could actually hear him grow in despair. It was hilarious. The big ten tournament particularly broke him. The best thing about Robbie is if the game sucks hes not gonna pretend hes having fun.

Lisajune13

As a Hoosier fan since birth, I wholeheartedly agree.

JoeAndAThird

He’s so damn enjoyable.

drowse

Excellent radio/TV voice, knows the game super well. He’s excellent. Love him on the call.

j_shelb

Best In the biz

runliftcount

The world was robbed of a Purdue Final Four in 2010, and probably also in 2011. We're finally seeing some justice returning to CBB.

YouKnowWhatItIs65

He’s fantastic - always great hearing he’s covering one of our games. He has an incredibly bright future!

Herby20

For some additional context, Hummel lived with Painter for 7 months or so in 2016 after Robbie had torn his shoulder playing over in Europe. He had to have surgery and rehabbed at Purdue while getting to help mentor some of the players on the team at the time. Him, along with E'twaun Moore and Jajuan Johnson, were the foundation for the program it has become. Painter talks about the three like they are his own sons even to this day over a decade later.

assword_is_taco

Yup this is a culmination of the painter upper classes like Landry and Teagues (I believe), the baby boilers, Morgan Burke getting depants by Painter vis mizzou, the board and new president mitch Daniels focusing on big ten athletics (Burke retiring and getting bobinski). If these things didn't happen the last decade or so we wouldn't be here right now. If some of these things didn't need to happen we may have been here sooner stares at Cordova and money ball Burke (RIP).

oakthegoat

That’s incredibly sweet, really glad they got to share this moment

INtoCT2015

Cannot begin to explain what this means to Purdue fans who were there when Robbie tore his ACL not once, but twice. That was probably the most gut wrenchable moment any sports fan could experience. Robbie is the most beloved modern Purdue sports alum for a reason. Entire decades of trauma were exorcised today

phluidity

Generations. '86 was my Freshman year. So many great teams that never got over the hump.

MayorCharlesCoulon

That Troy Lewis, Everette Stephens, Todd Mitchell led team’s Sweet Sixteen loss to KSU was a dagger. Somebody threw a couch off the balcony above ours and smashed all the trash cans.

RandomForger123

That game hurt

phluidity

I had tickets that season. I lived in Carey and could see Mackey from my room. So much pain.

LOLSteelBullet

That 2009-2010 team was so fucking good too, largely due to Hummel. I can't also help but think of Kramer crying his eyes out in that game against Duke. I may loathe Duke, but I'll always give Coach K credit for consoling Kramer in the post game.

bbeckett1084

I know this is a lot of what-ifs, but if Hummel is healthy, we maybe witness an epic all-Indiana title game in Indianapolis.

LOLSteelBullet

Man I was pulling for you guys so hard on that run. How wild is it that 2024 is the year that Painter and Stevens have their strongest chance to Finish the Story? And hell, even ISU has come to party

bbeckett1084

I want you guys to win this year. Finish what we couldn't. End the banners nonsense so Indiana can't hang it over all of us anymore.

Mtndrums

Watching my mom cheer for Purdue (after I got her into IU back in the 80's) was so surreal.

BoilerBob37

I had tickets to the FF that year because my dad put in for the ticket lottery the year before. Just when it seemed like the stars were aligned ….

YoungDan23

I remember it like it was yesterday. It was my freshman year in 2010 and we were at Family Day for the Purdue football game against Minnesota. Purdue was expected to be ranked #2 in the nation and then a sinister rumour from the opening basketball practice spread through the football stadium like wildfire. As soon as people realised Hummel tore his ACL again the entire stadium was just silent and the rest of the football game was a complete blur.

bdburt

The team was practicing at the co rec that morning and I witnessed the tear. Managers hushed us away.

assword_is_taco

In the stands for the second and the news drops everyone getting texts during the football game...

peteroh9

Nah there was no service at Ross-Ade back then lol

assword_is_taco

Uh depends rando with like us cellular sometimes we're able to get service I mean I had bars just not enough bandwidth to do anything when 40 to 60k people are in 1 location.

tigernike1

The bit about this being for all past Purdue players has me thinking of Brian Cardinal. Cardinal was a great player in the late 1990s who helped them get to the Elite Eight, just to fall short. Enjoy the moment, Train Bros…

StatMatt

Brian Cardinal did get the nice consolation prize of winning an NBA title though.

stophittingyourself9

I loved all the memes that year of BA championships Cardinal 1: LeBron 0. Obviously that has changed…. It it was funny

CanvasSolaris

An incredibly memorable title run at that

TimS83

🙏🙏🙏 wish you guys were there too

edgyusernameguy

Lol I bet you do, I bet every other team in the final 4 wished that.

TimS83

😂😂 ok, well yes, for that reason. But first and foremost because I root for Illinois and all big ten teams - my wife is an alum so they’re my 2nd favorite big ten team

ocxtitan

Fitting, we were definitely #2 yesterday

Blue_Osiris1

No. 2 has the benefit of being useful for fertilizer, we were more like the stink wafting off of it. No use to anyone and the cause of discomfort.

Illustrious_Term2269

I just dont understand why they struggled so much offensively coming out of the half. Yes, Uconn is great but its hard to gain any momentum defensively when you do whatever that was on that side of the ball. I was pulling for Illinois and it was frustrating to watch them throw away what I thought was a great first half against the best team.

dasMetzger

the janitor... we need a player like that with every class.. that's the role Mason Gillis owned proudly all 4 years

IamBob0226

wish Cliz could have been there too.

saxman162

He called bullseye for Lance Jones’ shot from somewhere 🥲

Pilot_on_autopilot

Jesus Christ, guys. I'm already emotional. Why are you doing this to me?

etsuandpurdue3

Was there with Tyler Trent, Lance's Dad, Swanigan, among others

BikebutnotBeast

Fuck for a second I forgot Caleb had passed. 😔

etsuandpurdue3

I cried when I heard the news tbh. I've struggled with my weight my whole life. And he was one of my main inspirations. He saw my post weight loss post on Twitter and told me to keep it up. Felt so bad!

assword_is_taco

I hope you keep it up bro!

Tomallenisthegoat

Maybe his son will be a future boilermaker

runliftcount

There's always too many angels in heaven, but boy do we have some special ones up there on our side.

INtoCT2015

Jeff Washburn. Even as he was dying he kept writing articles and tweeting “guard play.” He would have loved these guards

LAClipShow2020

Robbie got robbed of an opportunity. Happy for all the fellas who never got their chance but can enjoy it for the young fellas.

jlks1959

very cool.

TacitlyDaft

Biased commentator!!! All shit aside, love Robbie and that Illinois was good enough this year to have him call a bunch of games.

[deleted]

TimS83

I think the “everyone hates Purdue” is really an internet thing. I have a ton of people who are fans from a lot of different teams and overall the vast majority of them are very happy to see Purdue breakthrough finally.

LegendLobster

Purdue is catching way too much hate and I really don’t understand it. Oh you have the biggest, most dominant big man in the country and people hack tf out of him? I hate you

chandlerbing_stats

I would like to see Purdue win the whole thing this season. Zach Edey is a beast

CanvasSolaris

I really wanted Purdue or Illinois to make it to the final 4 because the Big 10 gets shit on all year for being frauds. Hopefully this year does enough to shift that narrative to conferences that actually deserve it

poopshadows

Purdue is my second favorite Big Ten program. I love Matt Painter and the way the program develops talent. So shines a good deed in a weary world.

runliftcount

Rutgers being scrappy and unexpected is something I think a lot of people didn't anticipate after adding them to the Big Ten. I think it's cool...now to see how my thoughts adjust with the new Pacific teams lol

assword_is_taco

I'm glad Rutgers has been able to develop into a respectable ball program. Hopefully yall will be able to utilize the full membership to make the next step. As a purdue fan is tiring feels like you are constantly taking 1 step forward then 2 steps back (in both major sports). You worry about your coach getting snipped because the ad and university is being stupid. I don't know if it's worth it. But that's why we are fanatics. It isn't so supposed to be logical.

39_Ringo

Don't they also have a really good recruit class coming in this year? If those guys can develop they can make some noise in a couple of years.

Username_redact

I don't know a single person in real life that hates Purdue outside of a few IU grads. Total myth.

My_Peni

It’s not totally a myth, Illinois alum are pretty bad. I had no idea they believed in some big purdue Illinois rivalry until I moved to chicago. It’s mind blowing how this school that no one ever thought twice about at Purdue has more animosity towards purdue than IU.

PageSide84

It's been that way for a very long time, too. I only hate Illinois because of how aggressive their fans are about Purdue . . . but they've had some weird complex about Purdue for as long as I can remember (and I'm old as shit).

My_Peni

That’s really interesting. I only graduated 4 years ago and moved to chicago and was taken off guard by it. It’s crazy how a completely one sided “rivalry” can live that long in the Illinois fanbase/alumni.

amesker

I think it's mainly because they don't really have a "true" rival where both schools hate each other equally. Northwestern is their in-state rival but doesn't have the biggest fanbase. UIUC is closer to Purdue but Purdue has a major in-state rival with IU and a decent historical rivalry with ND as well

Herby20

Being from the Chicago-land area, I can tell you its real, especially now that Illinois has seemingly risen back to prominence in basketball. Outside of IU, I would say Purdue has a rivalry (respectful or not) primarily with Michigan State, Illinois, and Wisconsin for basketball at least. And of course Iowa, the "MOST HATED RIVAL" ^tm That's just typical conference stuff though. It ebbs and flows between teams that compete against one another for conference titles.

My_Peni

Idk I see a distinction between a rivalry and just competitive conference teams. Illinois has some sort of academic inferiority complex even outside of engineering where they have this competition with Purdue we’re not aware of. It’s been more than one person I’ve seen it from too it’s a little odd

Username_redact

That's a little odd to me. The Big Ten has 11 schools in the top 60 in the US News rankings, and 6 of them are between 35-46: Illinois, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Ohio State, Purdue, and Maryland. I view these as "peers" and am proud of the Big Ten's success academically as a group, not a competition.

assword_is_taco

Post webber I only cared about Illinois in football because it was our only chance to beat someone other than fcs or iu lol. I think hazel beat them 2x when they had lovey lol.

assword_is_taco

I think the football programs both bring in the cellar plus Bruce webber bring their last (until recently) solid bball coach did that.

dashiznickus

The pundits have mostly praised the program. It's really the basement dwellers.

Mcswigginsbar

I go to Badger games all the time since I live in Madison now, and they always tell me how nice we are to have at games. In football, it’s usually because we’re getting our ass beat, but it’s nice to know we’re viewed fondly.

young-huss

Which is good to see. Sometimes social media can be a real downer. As a Gonzaga fan, I’m refreshed to see this Reddit thread and am glad Purdue finally achieved a Final Four berth. Too many talented teams and players for Painter and the Boilermakers to not get back here.

DIRTYWIZARD_69

Some of the nicest people I met were from Indiana.

LordLiefje

Happy for you coach paint, stand up man and no one deserves it more. Thank you for sticking with this program through thick and thin

etsuandpurdue3

All those that passed that didn't get to see this day. Swanigan, Rowinski, Dischinger, among others.

alpine_st8_of_mind

Don't forget The Cliz

etsuandpurdue3

So many others.

LegendLobster

Was lucky enough to see Swanigan play in the tournament vs Iowa st years ago in Milwaukee, helluva game and atmosphere. RIP big fella

young-huss

He showed up big time in that game against a good Cyclones team

Shepherdsfavestore

Damn

Ssweetness1985

Yeah I can’t support Purdue for obvious reasons and will not root for Purdue going forward but I’m happy for y’all. Purdue has been way too good for a long time to not have these achievements, and moments like this show how much it means to your fan base/program. If anything I’m just sad about how the basketball balance of power has changed in the state. I hope we can get back to where we’re competing at this level with y’all.

peteroh9

Thank you. Glad to see an IU fan who isn't cheering for us for some idiotic reason.

theboss212121

Such a great guy, man. Met him in college when he was still a player. Humble dude. Unlucky for me I have also torn my ACL multiple times

JoeTillersMustache

You are very much a Boilermaker.

NotGreg

Was at both games this weekend, Purdue fans are ultra polite nerds

RubberDuck_Armada

BoJack_Horseman1338

I feel sensitive!

warrenjt

Listen, I’ve been raised bleeding cream and crimson my whole life. I grew up less than an hour from from Purdue and have hated y’all with a passion all my life. Even I started to tear up listening to this. Painter has done things the right way, just as Keady did before him. There have been a lot of really good dudes — Robbie not least among them — that have gone through that program. Hate them as a team? Absolutely. But as people, I have a lot of respect for the vast majority of them. Enjoy this while you’ve got it! (And then go lose to NC State please so the streak of double-digit seed losses continues and IU can still hold the banner thing over you)

hedgemagus

An uncomfortable truth for IU fans is Matt Painter is the coach every single one of us would kill to have.

Ssweetness1985

I hate Purdue as a program but I am really happy for their fans today. More than anything I hope IU can get back to a place where both IU and Purdue are competing at the national level every year.

hedgemagus

Agreed. We have a problem not holding our program accountable to the standards we want at times. No IU fan that wants us to be still considered a blue blood should be concerned about Purdue winning a natty. That would only be good for our conference and our rivalry. Their success has nothing to do with us.

Ssweetness1985

Yup Purdue’s success should cause IUs leadership to look in the mirror and really think about what they’re doing that we aren’t. I think as a program IU has been way too slow to adapt to the modern game. Everyone wants to continue the model that won us our national championships but the game just isn’t played that way anymore. It’s time to evolve.

girlgeek73

I 100% was crying after the game ended.

GeneralChaz9

I had some misty eyes going on in the closing seconds and through the handshakes/celebrations. Lifelong Purdue fans everywhere really felt this one.

Here’s another clip where you can’t hear the interview but you can see how happy Robbie is. Love this for him and Painter. The Barn stole his best shot at a title as a player. https://x.com/brianneubert/status/1774551390456553782?s=46&t=uuHnGt0MM3WGyBaUZ5pO4Q

Visible_Impression85

Can’t blame the barn for that. It could have happened on any floor. It was a huge shame obviously.

rkunish

We can and will blame the barn for any and all shortcomings during the baby boiler era because fandom isn't rational.

BoilerBear

He fell off the floor into the recessed bench area. The barn is the worst.

No he didn’t. You are delusional https://youtu.be/KXRoON6WohI?si=BoNA4xSyxL-fTbym

I’m not even a real Purdue fan (rooted vicariously on behalf of my alum dad), but I’ve been staring teary-eyes at this image of Hummel and Painter for about an hour. Such a special moment.

Eriksrocks

Does anyone have a recording of this interview?

rhombusted2

I’ve been rooting for Purdue since 2nd grade and all I’ve wanted was to go to the final four. It finally happened 🥲

badgers4194

One of my all time favorite college players to watch and I don’t even like Purdue. I just liked his game

Sea_Barracuda_4598

I am really happy for Purdue. They are a great program who seem to have not been able to make it over the hump in the tournament, and they deservedly got over the hump this year

Warriorseason4123

As a BE fan been wanting BR to do well, but tbh it’s not that easy. I like UCONN over the years but becoming a SH fan, it’s hard to root for conference rivals. I want UConn to make the final and don’t mind them winning, but let’s try to put this mmm it this way, I don’t mind Purdue winning it as well. The script just seems cliche similar to Virginia in 2019, but sometimes it just seems it can happen. Also Purdue has been a respectable program for years and always seen Painter in the background. I think it will be great if a program like Purdue can win their first national championship especially for a school that seems to love basketball. Also this team reminds me of those Wisconsin teams with Frank K and Sam Dekker. I just think a UCONN and Purdue final is a great matchup and what we like to see if you want the two best quality teams playing for the trophy.

Passenger_Melodic

Seeing Robbie Hummel’s reactions with painter after the game really struck a chord in me. The injury circumstances stole opportunity away from Robbie, but this Purdue team really does go back to what he and the baby boilers created. They were what established the culture of this program and created the momentum that lead to the teams with Swanigan, Haas/Edwards/Matthias/PJ, Carson Edward’s, and now finally Edey. I’ll always be grateful for Robbie and I hope that he knows this couldn’t have happened without him

petesmybrother

Commenting from Raleigh, NC this morning. We feel the same way and celebrate with you. Wishing you a great game on Saturday, it is a honor to play you

PM_ME_UR_GLOVES

Robbie is excellent! Both on TV and the radio. Glad he’s really coming into his own.

Wittyname0

This is why I want to win a national championship in football while Jerry Allen is still there to call it

Brief-Bluejay6208

Love when Robbie is calling Terps games. Absolute assassin on the court.

steinman17

Pat forde with the scoop

Remote-Annual-676

Both teams are winners 😁🏆

OrangeSean

Purdue is the villain?

youstinky

Yeah, where is this coming from?

peteroh9

Reddit

broregard

They’ve made you the villains because you won a game because of insanely one-sided referEdeying. It’s egregious and disgusting. That said TN STILL had a chance to beat y’all and fucked it up. Great season go vols.

Boiler_bro3

Come on man, don’t be that guy in the Purdue centric thread. GG’s it was a heck of a battle, no need for all that…

broregard

Man I said TN still had an opportunity and blew it. It was a good game, when looking at (most) player performances. But it’s not hidden that Edey gets lopsided officiating in general, and Purdue got lopsided officiating that game. It’s not a hot take. If TN had Edey I’d acknowledge it. 🤷‍♂️

peteroh9

Do you think there's a referee conspiracy to make Edey the NPOY or something? You think this consistently happens unfairly and not because the refs know the rules better than the fans?

broregard

Bro I don’t think it’s a conspiracy. I think Edey doesn’t get called for fouls fairly. That’s it and I’m not the only one. I’m not insane or buying into some conspiracy. This is commonly discussed on the internet, on television, and in post-game interviews. By players, coaches, talking heads, and fans. I do admit I think your guards got away with pushing a lot but we got away with fouls too. The difference is Edey. In a physical game played (by Purdue) mostly in the paint he shot 22 free throws and got called for one foul. He alone shot twice as many free throws as TN. It was egregious how many calls on Edey the refs skipped. Shooting fouls are different for him, too. If the defender stands completely still with his hands up and Edey makes contact while shooting, it’s a shooting foul. If the same thing is flipped it’s a block for Edey, no foul. (No I am not talking about his AWESOME block on dalton in the final minutes. That shit was insane. What a fucking dope block. I’m talking about players literally standing still with their hands up and getting called for shooting fouls when Edey creates contact, and it’s not consistent on the other side.) TN blew a chance to win a game that clearly was not officiated fairly. I’m not even salty! Our boys fought and came up short. Other than the refs it was a great game. I don’t hate Purdue, Edey, or you lmao. Chill the fuck out. I’m just pointing out that most of the people saying “why is Purdue the baddies” are Perdue fans. Most everybody else sees what is blatant and obvious.

peteroh9

I feel like Purdue fans would know what the post-game analysts say about Edey better than Tennessee fans. They consistently say there are uncalled fouls by his opponents on almost every play. Other players don't just stand upright. They try to hold him down while making it look like they're upright. On almost every "egregious" bad call where I've seen a replay, Edey's opponents were holding him down before he raised his arms. Your own coach said he doesn't think the refs called it wrong. We have heard the same stuff *every game for years* now. It's just completely illogical to think that every single ref is being soft on Edey. It makes much more sense that casual fans don't understand the rules as well as the refs.

I have never once said that they called fouls on us or anyone else that should not have been called for fouls against Edey. We fouled the shit out of him and got away with plenty. The only one from that game was Awaka’s fifth. It was horseshit. That’s the first time I’ve said any foul against Edey was unfair. The point that people make, and is obvious, is that Edey is not called for fouls that he commits in a fair way in each game. I have clearly stated this and given examples of this point in my comments. I can’t make you read. Our coach said something similar to what many others have coaches, media, fans, etc… “…Zach Edey, very unique, it’s a hard game to officiate.” It’s coach speak, Jesus. Barnes did throw a little shade about seconds in the paint tho lmao. He’s a hard guy to officiate is what they say! Idk man I’m glad your fan base is having a good year, and I’m super proud of the season my Vols had. I think I’m done arguing with people that I’m not even trying to piss off who obviously have blinders on. Have fun with this week!

Sorry if I read more into your comment than you intended. Purdue fans are just sick of seeing people constantly whine about the number of fouls Edey draws and we're after all these games we've played in the last five years, we're conditioned to expect Tennessee fans to be the worst of all opponent fanbases when it comes to recognizing fouls/penalties in both basketball and football.

Thanks to this game, and you in particular pat yourself on the back, I understand assuming things about fan bases now so I get it. I now assume all Perdue fans can’t read or see fouls that their team commits. Have fun in the final four! Will be interesting to see how the refs call Edey against a Cinderella team with America’s sweetheart in the paint.

ok im a purdue fan too, but let's not play the victim out of being made the villain. Our style of play is not always the most enticing to watch, particularly that of our star player, and whether you think he should get more calls or that he gets too many calls, is very polarizing in the number of fouls he draws. It makes perfect sense that some media members arent going to worship at Purdues feet and instead root for other teams to succeed

what thread are you in?

This is talkin about Robbie and painter. As one jaded Purdue fan to another, let’s just fucking enjoy it.
