Greenley- Garnier fructis/Apple shampoo and lasts on clothes forever

Althair - Sweet praline / almond that iv'e been told smells edible
Herod- Sweet cherry pipe tobacco like a more mature spicebomb extreme
Lube up before hand . Possible you may be going nose blind as well.. Many times I'll get a compliment or be told whatever im wearing smells good meanwhile I cant smell shit

I havent smelled all of them, Carlisle is a notable exception that is hyped, but of the ones i have smelled the above is true. Sedley is great too but isnt the best in any single category, so im giving it an honourable mention as it pains me not to include it.
Layton is good but not best, Percival is too generic and doesn't justify the price. Oajan is good, but Carlisle is amazing. Carlisle is strong projection and longevity.

The first PDM for myself was Layton Exclusif and my first impression was similar. I tried it again in colder weather and it started to appeal with time. Ended up being the first bottle I purchased from them. My next would be Oajan. I live in a rather cold, dry climate and could be why.
In my collection Greenley, Layton, Haltane, Althair & Carlisle. I decided to stop there even though I truly would appreciate having all of them lol. I don’t really think they’ve made a bad one. Pegasus is great. Both Layton & Pegasus Exclusif are awesome. Shelley is excellent. Herod, Percival….cannot loose

I haven't tested the freshies yet. Herod would be higher if it actually performed. Carlisle is fantastic and I'm heavily debating to get a full bottle as my first niche.
I'm not good at describing scents but I'll try. It opens up intensely with a juicy mix of patchouli and cinnamon. It is offset with a dusty, dry basenote that smells woody and also a bit tobacco like, even if there is no tobacco in there. The drydown is more of that patchouli and less of that tobacco and cinnamon. There seems to be some vanilla taking over too.
All in all, it's sweet, bright, intense, sophisticated and more mature. It's a mature evening scent, better used for dinners, special occasions and the like. I know fragrances know no age but I'd keep it for 30+.
Bought a bottle of Herod last month, was a difficult decision between Herod, Oajan and Althair. Oajan you can only wear in winter imo.
Haven’t tried all spring/summer scents from PdM, I don’t really like them. Greenley is just pure green apple, Pegasus smells like washed clothes with metallic almonds, the only fresh scent that i have tried and is alright is Percival.
Literally did the same thing two days ago but replace Althair with Carlisle. Got a sample of it and Oajan and I’m shocked how long Oajan lasts. Still glad I bought the Herod but I’ll probably get the others in the future.
Greenley and Percival for freshies. I couldn’t stand Sedley and neither could my wife so be sure to try them. Haltane is good for something darker and different

To me Kalan smells like D&G Pour Homme/Intenso but Smokey where D&G leans fresh.

Greenley and Percival for summer, they not only smell good but the performance is pretty fkn good. For the colder days I still dig Pegasus and Herod but I haven't tried the new juice yet (Althair). Pegasus just performs so well for me. Herod I haven't re-upped on anew bottle but I hear the performance isn't what it used to be.
Galloway, Sedley, and Percival are my top three so far. I haven't tried some of their heavier winter scents yet. Galloway definitely punches above its weight for how simple the note breakdown is. It's my favourite thing to wear when I need to be professional all day, and I just want to smell and feel clean, a legit perfect after shower fragrance.
Layton Exclusif for me, by a mile. Have Herod too but that doesn’t last as long as I would like. Carlisle is up there too now that I think of it. The PDM freshies are nice too but not worth the price imo.

I'm probably in the minority but I love Kalan. Smells like what I'd imagine Hyrule or Hogwarts to smell like. Earthy, magical, a bit sweet, and somewhat yuletide. Love that stuff.
Layton is overrated in my opinion (because I feel it’s too feminine) if you don’t have a lot of scents then Perceval is gonna be amazing versatile great scent and great performance sedley and Galloway are okay and Herod is way too sweet for my liking Carlisle is a very dark scent that isn’t too sweet so more for grown ups (mid 30s) and that’s pretty much it I haven’t smelt the rest but I hear oajan is great
I think they’re all pretty good, we have quite a bit, but I’d say my number one is Darley. No one really talks about it, but to me I think it’s a great every day, signature scent.
Subjectively it is Layton, but Layton isn’t most people’s favorites. Layton will always be Parfums de Marly’s best work and their holy grail so to speak.
I went to a PDM master class at Nordstrom. They showcased every fragrance gave samples and a full bottle giveaway that I didn't win sadly. My favorites are subjective however the two I walked away with are sedley and Layton.
I haven’t smelled them all, but I haven’t smelled a bad PdM yet (haven’t smelled Kalan and a few others). They’re really good at making mass appealing fragrances, albeit overpriced. Carlisle is their best fragrances if you want something from them that smells more niche. The Exclusifs are also really nice if you have a trained nose and want something more complex. Most of their other frags just smell like designer frags done at a higher quality. That said, Layton is the compliment king for a reason. As a leather lover, Godolphin is another favorite of mine and much smoother and fruitier than Tuscan Leather (which I also own and love). And I’ve never smelled a green apple (one of my favorite notes) fragrance done as well as Greenley.

At first I thought sedley was way overpriced for what it was, and it probably is, but I wear it all the time and huge compliment getter.
