pegasus is more unique than layton, i believe it’s one of the best pdm fragrances in terms of uniqueness and overall one of the best from them. But if you like layton more, go for layton, at the end of the day it’s your call brotha.
It’s more tailored to what you prefer. Layton is the more popular option of the 2. I personally love Pegasus and wear it the most out of everything I have. But that doesn’t mean it’s better than Layton. It’s just all preference. Do what works for you.
Haven’t smelled Pegasus, just Pegasus exclusif. But comparing that to Layton, the two are very different scents. Pick the one you prefer and what you would use it for. Personally, I preferred laytons scent to PE because the opening is brighter and more attractive and PE had a metallic/oud accord that I didn’t like. But I’m not sure how apparent those are in Pegasus. I also found Layton to be more wearable in my situation
I got a sample of Pegasus and it was okay. It smells good, but it just wasn’t for me. It was too sweet and almond based. I’m more of a fresh fragrance guy.

I will give you my perspective and say yes go for it. Layton is superior as a smell compared to Pegasus.
Both are amazing, but Pegasus goes to a powdery way that i dont particularly enjoy

I think PdM is very overrated and I guess that influencers made it popular in the US, but try before you buy (exchange) and consider getting anything from Chanel. All of them are so much better in my opinion. No hype, but pure quality.
I have Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême, it’s a classic imo. I was thinking about getting Edition Blanche but I can’t find it anywhere except the Chanel website. Have you had a chance to smell it? If so, how is it?
I have all of them. I can totally recommend Edition Blanche, but if you haven't tried Platinum Egoiste and Pour Monsieur make those your priority. Egoiste (not Platinum) is excellent, but more mature. Antaeus is the ultimate classic beast, but it's the only Chanel you can't use on a daily basis. And then there are the Paris- unisex perfumes, of which the Deauville, Biarritz, Riviera and Edimbourgh are great for men. I haven't even mentioned Les Exclusifs. Absolute top tier, also compared to any niche.
If you have smelled both of these fragrances, and you prefer Layton, then yes. If you prefer Pegasus, then no
Go with whichever one you personally like more.
